Can not wait for that spacer jig video. I'm currently building my own racks over again with spacers this time. I'm assuming it's made with 2x3s cut the the width of the tubes widest part and each is spaced 3/4 of an inch
pretty accurate. I just laid it out the first time and went from there. Spacer jig video is still upcoming. I actually saw one I liked more. You know how it gets this time of year, nothing but pyro is happening, but ill get a new jig made soon.
GREAT VIDEO, thank you!! What are you using for the drill bit / depth stop collar? Also, the drill bit size. (I was going to use 1/8" dia. bit) I'm finding collar kits available but their diameters vary with drill bit size. Looks like the diameter of your collar is doing both a depth setting and spacing the hole from the edges of the 2x3 uprights. Is there a bearing in it as well?
Top notch craftsman there my dude
predicate that

Do you have measurements on your spacer jig?

Getting ready to build my own first set of mortar racks. Can I ask why the need or want for the spacers?
Is there any significance?
the spacers allow a place for expansion in case of a Cato with a shell blowing up in the mortar. Just a small safety step.
2” and 3.5” spacers I get but what size board are you using to cut to such lengths?
1x3. It’s the same width as the 2x3 that I used for the sides.
@@MopeySphinxI saw the texts second time watching thanks
Spacer jig shouldn’t be hard to make either. I would just need to know what size pieces of wood you used to simulate the size of the tubes.
Then just simply screw one to a board, put spacer up against it and screw and other one on other side…. Rise and repeat
@@pyrotechy4life pretty much. Over and over again till you literally up the sky.
