1.deformation of reality: can alter probability, dimensional travel, alter biology and alter fundamental laws
2.Control of metaphysics: thanks to this, Simon can do things like alter life, lengthen or shorten it, or even revive the dead, but he does not do it because he considers it involuntary because it could affect the future
3.Conceptual alteration: it can alter concepts such as time, space and thoughts, to the point where it can make something become real through thought, create an infinite space or even be able to attack from any existing time
the fact that the series started with Simon saying all the lights are our enemies and ended with all the lights are stars still amazes. This is truly a piece of art
when they said Simon isn't God, they meant that he shouldn't PLAY as God. Simon literally is so powerful he could have brought people back to life if he truly wanted.
I mean the anti spiral is currently the highest form of the spiral race
So chances are he can do some godly shit but doesn't want to disrespect the dead

Gurren Lagann got the perfect ending it deserved: some things are closed and some others are left to interpretation/imagination. I would’ve liked a prequel series with Lord Genome defending Earth when the Anti-Spiral attacked for the first time… It was great to revisit these series with you, thank you and make your drills create the heavens.

3.lordgenome discovers lagann and makes an army of gunmans to try to defeat anti spiral
4.anti spiral makes lordgenome change
5.lordgenome kills, destroys and protects all humans underground
6.lordgenome becomes the spiral king

although simon has god powers, he can't revive Nia not because he can't, but because he doesn't want to because he remembers this
in dragon ball the characters are revived because it is necessary, but in gurren lagann no, kamina should not revive because otherwise the future would be affected and as Nia should not revive either, but even so she is still alive in the heart

Gurren Lagann was an absurdly over the top adventure and I enjoyed every second of it, it is and it will always remain as an important aspect of my life.

People around here saying it has one of the best ending while I sympathize that some are emotionally divided by the story’s end…
However, beyond the actual end, I personally believe this is without a doubt…
The Greatest. Final Battle. In ALL of fiction.
It really set such a high bar of how an epic climactic finale of a battle should feel, as well as the absolute scale and the themes presented fighting over each other really giving the feeling like this is the ultimate “Battle of Fate”, it is the finale I strive to one day to use as an inspiration of how I want an epic finale to go when I write one day.
This ending will never not hurt. It’s so good, but I feel so terrible for Simon and Yoko

simon never said he couldn't revive the dead with spiral power, he just didn't want to do it because that would mean anti-spiral ideology was right all along. but Simon being responsible with his power to prevent spiral nemesis means not only did he won the battle of might, but he also won the battle of ideology cuz his idea that humanity can create a better path is right all along.
To this day, this is one of the best ending I have seen in my almost 24 years of watching animes.
the only thing that's sad about this is that almost non of them reacted to the movies, and the second one have the best ending fight i've ever seen

Yeah... the fight's good and all but when Kittan and the rest of the team died i felt it, it hurt. So watching the movie and seing they just survive... i didn't like that part so much
I finished this show a day before my 15th birthday, and I absolutely love this anime. I still have its opening on my playlist and I sing along to it every day.
This anime is just too legendary, every anime fan (especially if they're a fan of those animes with big robots), should watch Gurren Lagann.

Theres a cool detail when it shows Tegen actually forming at the end, the Team Dia Gurren logo pops up and almost seems to fade into the mech. I always took that as Kamina joining in, adding one last bit of flare to the whole thing

This is easily one of the most hype episodes of all time
One of the absolute best finales in all of fiction. The tone, character work, animation, writing, visuals, music, and more made this incredible. Ironically one of the few things holding the finale back is the series itself. The finale is divisive because it had to choose between the two themes of the series. The first theme of the show was "Kick Logic to the Curb", by this logic there should have been a Golden Ending. Kamina was able to resurrect himself, and even get his spirit into the memory labrynth, so moving souls around is definitely possible. Heck, Lord Genome showed that you can make people immortal. The series could have ended with the entire cast reunited as one ready to go on an infinite series of adventures across the multiverse for all time. This obviously is not the theme the show focused on or the ending it went with.
The second theme of the show, especially post time skip is succession. They focus on the idea of people digging tunnels, but once the tunnels are dug, who uses them and who can expand them further? You just build everything for the future, while yes the themes of the Spiral means that you yourself should grow as a person every day, becoming a bit stronger, it also means that in the future of the world there should be more for those who inherit the future to have. By accepting the actions of the present and allowing them to become the past while shaping the future, you are able to build a legacy. This is why Simon allows the dead to stay dead. On Nia's end, the expression, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened" comes to mind. She grew as a person, gained a more solid personality, emotions, an understanding of the world, a life of her own, fell in love, and in the end she died just as any living being did. Her own life couldn't last forever preserved indefinitely, the point of the final battle was telling the anti-spirals they couldn't preserve the universe indefinitely. People have to let go, move on, and move forward. It is by moving forward that growth can happen. If Simon always remained Gurren's pilot, Gimmy would never get the chance. Growth over time even in the face of death, and doing your part in life so that the people who come after you can enjoy the fruits of your labor are what the series wanted to emphasize.
However, that serious and realistic message is logical and therefore directly contradicts the message of "Kicking Logic to the Curb" and certainly seems out of place in a Super Robot show where the protagonists fought in an extra dimensional space and absorbed the big bang which certainly makes it seem like the shows tone should support the first message of the show leading towards the first ending. This results in the shows tone and message contradicting each other. In the end it is up to the audience to decide what message of the show resonates the most with them to decide if they think the actions taken in this episode, especially those pertaining to Simon's decision not to perform an act of God, are reasonable given the known information and how it has been presented.

So quick point, Simon can infact being back the dead they just did it with lord genome. But what would that mean? If u bring her back why not Kamina? Why not Kitan? Why not everyone? Because that leads to the Spiral Nemesis, and the end of everything they fought for. People who are dead are dead, and everyone who lives must die. The past must make way for the future. God I love this show

Simon's left eye spirals as he ages in the last scene because his spiral power increases with age.
Simon dares to grow old without using his spiral power. And the reason he did not raise the dead is because he decided to live as a human being, not as a god.
Simon left everyone because he decided to leave the world to a new generation.
He left because he decided to leave the world in the hands of a new generation.
Though he did say that if the spiral Nemesis did perhaps come in the far future, he’d be there to stop it no matter what it takes, so I guess he’s accepting the fact that he’ll live forever so that he can once again protect the universe if it comes to it.

Simple, exagerado pero efectivo con un derroche de calidad audio visual gracias a Gainax y a cada uno de los trabajadores que formaban parte del estudio en ese entonces para realizar este proyecto..
y todo esto se hizo con un presupuesto bajisimo,osea mira animes actuales y comparalos con gurren lagann,algunos tienen mucho presupuesto pero salen a veces mal,pero gurren lagann con el mas bajisimo presupuesto demostro que podia,esta serie tiene marcado por todos lados,cree en ti mismo y lograras lo que sea,incluso los que hicieron gurren lagann
Una buena animacion es mas cuestio del tiempo y la pasion que el equipo ponga en ello, y en esto vertieron toda su pasion
