Solid list, my friend. I purchased many of these items. I'm a long distance newbie and I'm going to treat it like the avid hiker that I am and be prepared. Thank you.
Great list Love my 19 goldwing!. One thing your missing...first aid kit! You should have tourniquet, quick clot, bandages ect. The life you save may be your own....or mine!
Good video! I was intrigued to see what you carry on your Wing. I basically carry the same items, except the emergency camping type of stuff. I have used my Costco bought jump starter to jump my bro-in-laws bike on one occasion and also a guy in an old pickup who needed a jump. I also carry a similar air compressor from Fantikk. It’s excellent. I do carry a minimal set of tools. Basically what I would need to tighten down a loose bolt. Anything else and you probably need to take it to a shop or fix yourself at home. I do own a REDA one gallon gas container which fits Harley and GoldWing side bags but rarely, if ever, carry it anymore. I would be hesitant to use an octane boost. It’s not needed for a GoldWing and I wonder what it would do if you ran it through your engine while low or empty of gas. Now if you were reviewing items for a Harley (and yes I own one) I would say bring a roll full of tools and lots of cash or a credit card 🤔 (Yes, I was glad I had tools on the side of the road once)
Too much. I carry water, a few, very few Allen wrench’s, a few clothes, and my gun. That should be plenty. You should just haul a trailer. I trust my instincts. At 70 years old, I’m ready for any long distance ride. The first and foremost is in this crazy world, pack the gun, right there in the concealed holster, ready to go, let’s ride. I ain’t waiting on no woman, no body that packs for every single event that may happen, my God, just ride.
You didn’t mention clothing for long trips. What constitutes a “long trip”? I’m leaving on a 4k mile trip early April of a 4 month duration. Where would you pack clothing and what would you take?
If I go on a long road trip I need room for a clothes, you carry way to much stuff! I carry a sweater, pump and power pack 24/7 as you never know when you might need them, the only extra stuff for long distance is clothes...nothing else. I have sunpass for Florida but I do not carry it on my bike, no need, I just add my tag to my account and that works.... however, I will give a little hint, if you are riding on a toll road and go under a toll gantry, ride the white line separating the lanes and the camera will not pick up your bike keeping your toll costs down ;)
the emergency foil blankets are not good . i learn that the hard way . i did a hike up to mt washington NH on august ended up ariving at nite . had to spend the nite there no tent . opened the plastic foil looking blacket and it broke to pieces in minutes . a cold rain storm broke out on me . almost froze to death there . they sell better one that you fold .

I painted my Ultimate seat cover stitching with a waterproofing treatment. Seems to work fine.
Why don’t you get a combination jump starter/air compressor? Much more compact. I have one. Works well.
That is a beautiful bike 👍 👌 😎 💙 it.

I did some research on the internet and found: Octane booster fouls up your combustion chamber and shortens the life of spark plugs.
spare battery for the key fob
Can you share the link to the flag decal on the side of your top box? Thx.
