It's very similar to spring but opens up twisting your wrist to open up as sun 🌞 Sorry I don't mean to bother you but ASL is my first language! There's a few other things but I'll let them go because I can understand that you're trying to say but honestly you need to be careful because some people don't like our language to be taught wrong!

You don't....that's why I said ASL native speakers don't like our language to be taught wrong, and that was another of those little things I said I'd let go because I understood what she was getting at! But in perfect ASL wouldn't say leave at the end; I mean it could be used as Soccer practice finished ice cream want? Or soccer practice leave ice cream want? But never have I ever seen anything like that in my 35 yrs of being deaf saw anything like that ever. Once you've said finished it automatically goes to we're leaving for ice cream so the leave part is unnecessary.

GRUMBLE or COMPLAIN is not signed that way. That is the sign for deeply disturbing as in your heart is disgusted. That is inappropriate for the sentence. COMPLAIN is a different handshape and movement closer to a loose C that whacks your chest twice. Please watch your parameters if you are going to profit from teaching ASL as a hearing person, not that that is appropriate anyways.

I'm fluent in ASL because it's my first language because I'm deaf on top of that, is exactly why I said she needs to be careful with ASL because minor mistakes like that will tick off a lot of people who are native speakers to ASL; also gives off the wrong impression to us.

But having learned asl in school , college , trainings and friends…. I know you are never to associate broken English with signing. You are never to make the signer sound dumb , uneducated or ignorant by not respecting the signs and adding in the English rules when you interpret the asl. It is wrong and rude… love you, want my kids to learn signs and practice, but just can’t get passed how rude you are to signing people… maybe you need to educate yourself on interpreting asl

Actually, there are several versions for signing the word “sun.” Meridith is signing another version that uses the “C” hand-shape. It starts near the eye and move up into the sky.
@@angelachu6477 that would be moon but if you're talking about like in a different language such as uk, EU, etc then yes but not AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE we only speak English therefore it's not true because a c moving outward is moon.
