Kevin is him. He makes it look easy with his bald ass tires! He makes a perfect companion for your vids. I like that's he's not miked up, so you can just make out what he says. Great vid man.
His tires are actually a hair shorter but a hair wider. 305/70R18 = 34.8x12 vs 315/75R16 = 34.6x12.4. Also Kevin should do the locker bypass mod so he can use his locker in 2wd.
Hey man, I have been watching your videos since you started, wow you have progressed! I also thought you was an exterminator before RUclips took over. If you was, what do I do now because I found bed bugs!!! Oh my goodness I’ve researched and researched… please give me suggestions on moving further!
I had a 2011 and a 2016 sv...the 16 was totalled 2x and i rebuilt it...after putting like 200k on them collectively i didnt want another frontier but wound up w a 23 pro4x and these new ones are different animals...had to get a frontier again bc everything else is garbage now
I'm a fan of the 3rd Gen just because of the refreshed look. A rear locker will definitely be a huge upgrade for you. Do you plan on additional skid plates? Butt Pucker lol.
Also, after i did my ADO lift (3") I added adjustable lift shackles and added an inch more. But that topped out my Koni shocks so i got some GMC 1500 shock extensions from eBay so i didn't have to shell out more money for longer shocks. My only issue now is the wheel's forward shift on full extension, touches the fender with my 33's. I'm not running sway bars. And i probably should put longer bump stops. But I'm pretty happy with my '22 Pro4x.
@@ChrisGramm yep, the titan bilstien 5100s and 5160s that are for 0-2in lift are just about 25.5in long when fully extended. The Frontier ones for the same lift are 23.5in -ish. They both use the same 14mm mounting bolts and coincidentally, the nismo Frontier suspension is litterally a rebranded titan kit. I was looking at them as I am planing a 3in lift on mine...also found out the dobinsons IMS shocks are 24in extended for the rears.
@D41Michigan my only issue is that swapping the Koni shocks from the Bilsteins really settled down the suspension. It's most noticeable driving across stutter bumps and washboard roads. The rear end used to dance around pretty bad but now it's much more planted.
I need different UCAs. I've got the same as Kevin but without the spacers and it still bottoms out on the bucket. I'm running a different brand upper though.
CJD, Total Chaos, and Dirt King all make uppers that will clear. Head over to my website and grab a set. Use 4wd5 for and addional 5% off. The4wdadventures.com
The idea behind the Titan Swap is not lift is added travel. You pair that with a proper coilover you will get around 12inches of travel in the front. For this tupe of wheeling your better off spending those 2k on gears and lockers.

Awesome rigs mate 🍻 Love the color on yours.
I like the 2nd gen way more especially if you can get the manual.. such a good truck.
I was telling Kevin, when the 2nd gen is modded right, they look and perform great. Very underappreciated truck imo
I own a 3rd gen but fully kitted out for off road I think the 2nd gen is cooler, at least it looks cooler, in stock configuration, not cool.
I basically told Kevin the same. Stock, they look like a turd lol.

What trail numbers are those obstacles on ?
11, 19, 14
Curious what your mpg is after all the mods. You may have said it in a previous vid but i cant recall.
15-16 city. 17ish hwy
330mi to tank, at most
Honestly expected worse. Not too bad!
Travel is king. Tswap better no doubt. Worth the money spent if done right.
I just want enough ground clearance to work under my truck. Jack stands make me nervous and a pit in my garage is out of the question.

Yes. M205 and a locker are in the list for '25
3rd Gen better the 2nd gen was great in its day but 3rd Gen all day
What exhaust does Kevin have?
It is a 40 flow master
@@kevinhess1790 awesome thanks
You did more with the RC 6” lift
Yeah, like brake CV's hahaha. I'm 100% better on the titan swap.
Man, you need to save some nickels and dimes and get a locker. Now that you're rocking the Titan Swap, a locker will make that rig unstoppable.
@ 100% a M205 and a locker ( maybe 2) are in the works!
@
Looking good by the way. Have a great Holiday! 🍻
@ you too bubba! Thanks for watching!

My rear wheel see the same. You either need to trim some of the fender or put a longer shock in the back.
Titan 5100s that are 25in long would work. They could accommodate up to 4.5in in the rear
@D41Michigan that's good info

3rd Gen for me. Used to own a 2nd gen (Navarra) 2006. 2.5 tdi

What brand UCA's are you running?
@4wdAdventurz freedom offroad. They don't Loop out far enough past the bucket.
ADO makes some good ones. I'll be getting them when I do my lift in 2025
@D41Michigan yeah as far as I know those and Z1 are the only ones that fully clear the bucket. JBA might. They are nice also.
CJD, Total Chaos, and Dirt King all make uppers that will clear.

I know the first obstacle very well
53k miles. Wow you drive a lot!
I do. All them trips to north GA and back..
Get some proper titan swap coilovers and you’ll get more travel.
The red truck has titan swap coilovers from Z1.
Citrus ?
Yes sir
You can't keep your tires on the ground bc of those junk spacer lifts. You should buy an actually suspension lift.
Lol no. The lift because it's an IFS. The red truck is running a Dobinson IMS titan swap kit.
Is Buttpucker 1 or 2 words?
Doesn't matter
