Gotta appreciate the fact that 343 actually took the time to make sure every weapon able to play it's role so it's not one weapon for every situation. (Except the br-75
My only issue with the BR in infinite is that it is ridiculously easy to use with aim assist, but outside of that, it is nicely balanced to the point where you don't actively feel the need to look for one outside of ridiculously open maps, you still see plenty of people using the AR, Bandit, and Commando as well as the sidekick over the BR in plenty of situations. We do need more general purpose covenant/banished weapons though as I feel the Stalker, Pulse Carbine, Disruptor, Mangler, Ravager, and Shock Rifle are pretty niche or gimmicky (look how they massacred the Plasma Pistol)
Despite Halo 5's flaws it had some great aspects like sound design. Don't get me wrong certain things in Infinite sounded good but so many things felt wrong at the same time. Halo 5 most of the time had weapons feel and sound impactful while also ACTUALLY being relatively effective in the hands of a skilled user
Always hated how in halo 5 the camera would just phase through the floor on forge maps, it was kinda hard enough suspending disbelief in a forge map to begin with but totally immersion breaking when the camera just desides to enter blue hell
Wish they’d bring back the physicality of the turret from the Halo 2-Reach days. It felt pretty sterile to use in every game onwards. I do appreciate how much more natural it sounds in infinite tho compared to the mechanical/compressed sound assets in 4 and 5
I believe everything gets a headshot bonus in infinite, though I haven't tested that properly, so it may not be entirely true (mostly just the needler I'm unsure of, but also equipment)
Infinite is my personal fave bc the reticle is a throwback to the og reticle, just smaller and also no overheating so i can just really let loose like halo 12 and 3
Why oh why is there no blood? Chaingun bullets ripping through a body should cause quite a bit of gore, but there's not even a puff of red in either of these.
halos never been really gory, yeah classic halos had the flood but even then violence was pretty low. something i think they should've done is have destructable armor for spartans.
Yo; how I missed watching your Halo 5 content back then. My only complaint with the Halo Infinite chain gun is probably the reticle; maybe because I got too much skill issue for it. ;-;
@@dg7347 I'm not sure by what you mean by half arsed in terms of the visuals. If anything, the visuals looks like it was one of 343's focuses for the game If you're talking about effects though, I will agree for some of them. The smoke trails for hydra rockets and warthog rockets is quite poor, and while I'm generally happy with the vehicle FX, the fire from a destroyed wasp just leaves me asking questions (mainly about the fact that the fire is only coming from 1 point on top of the wasp)
@@armstronggaming8566 banished vehicles looking like they got a cheap red paint job and scrap metal slapped on. all the armor just looking plain and plastic like, weapons look pretty cheap too. banished practically looking like the covenant from reach, we saw what the banished look like in halo wars 2, did they think were blind or something!? also the campaign being 50% forest and 50% giant metal hexagon pillars, exaggerating just a bit.
@@dg7347 Isn't the entire point of the banished design to just slap some red paint and armour plating onto covenant vehicles? It may not be as much as halo wars 2, but it still looks very banished to me at least. I personally disagree on the armour being flat and plastic. Maybe it's a decal setting or something, but it looks fairly metal and grimy to me. If you want flat and plastic, halo 5 or halo 3 are the places to look. If the banished hadn't been changed to how they are in infinite, you'd be complaining that each design looks too similar. It'd be exactly the same problem with H3's brutes, where you cannot clearly distinguish what each enemy is at a distance.
One problem I have with Infinite’s chain gun is it’s reticle is so small. It’s difficult to hit something with a tiny crosshair when zooming around in a vehicle, see.
Personally, I don't have any problem with smaller reticule. I find pretty easy using the turret on higher FOV. When the reticule turns red, open fire and done. However if your aim sucks then you'll need to adjust sensitivity and deadzones or mnk stuff idk what you're on.
Now i know why Halo Infinite feels like everything is a toy. Not only is it graphically flat despite the textures, but the cameras are too far away, plus the vehicles are super bouncy. Everything just looks so small and plasticky.

What do you mean? Ar clap br at close range and have a pretty equal footing mid range. Ar in infinite is how it should have always been
Halo 5 has the best sandbox. Infinite trashed it
The pistol and the assault rifle have an objectively better TTK in infinite compared to the BR

the way shots look in 5 are much better, also like seeing sparks when shooting an enemy.
VFX in halo5 are arguably some of the best in this franchise (and halo infinite definitely has the worst
@nepenthy9804 totally, I reckon its neck and neck with H3
Halo 5 sounds a lot better imo
They really missed the ball with a lot of the sfx in Infinite
I think the h5 design looks better in my opini

Halo 5 still looks and sounds so much better than infinite. In halo 5 even the weapons have shadows.
i legitimately don't see how people think infinite looks good like at all, it just looks so half assed.
