lmao, coming in with the x videos jokes already
The idle animation of Halo 5 is much more unique, but I like Infinite's reload animation more
The Hydra in Halo 5 was so good as a new weapon that I was actually excited for it to return in Halo Infinite, then I used it and just got extremely sad. The lock on range for vehicles was so bad that I pretty much stopped using it against vehicles and just started using the shock rifle instead.
Halo 5 had great graphics for 2015, I never understood why people didn't think so
Everyone thought it has great graphics- It's just the art style that's terrible conversely with infinite the art style is great but the graphics suck
Graphics were good the art style/direction was considered bad. I didn't mind either of 4 or 5s.
Cause they looked better in the trailer
I personally loved the online multiplayer in Halo 5. I thought the guns were the best in that game. However. I did think that the writing/campaign was the weakest of all the Halos, and was disappointed by the virtually nonexistent couch co-op/split screen.
Man i really hope the saw and railgun make it into infinite
This.
I personally would prefer the SMG or flamethrower. Plus they would fit better in the infinite sandbox.
The skewer is basically a railgun imo
@@briansnider8604, or how about something crazy? Both? It’s called halo INFINITE, why shouldn’t it have everything it can from all previous games?
I would rather have the m90, spiker and brute shot.
I didn't know that the Hydra tracking rockets were weaker than the hip-fire rockets! I'm always amazed by the attention to detail you put into each video. They are very informative and provide useful information. Thank you!
Agreed, I wish the game was better and he would upload more, doesn't seem like Infinite interests him at all lmao
@@godofmusic6518 he thinks the foundation of infinite is ok but he also thinks 343 went backwards. Advanced movement he would have killed for in this game but when he saw the changes only thing he could say about the game was TRASH 🗑️
@@Inf4mousKidGamesthe game is getting better with the new 343 team
@@Nighterlev not really I'm actually in the camp of Halo not needing advanced movement but rather advanced map design.
I'd say instead of adding new methods of movement to the player 343 should add them to their maps. Apex legends had been experimenting with this and I think Halo would benefit from it as well
@@Inf4mousKidGames While I agree with the sentiment towards map design in halo, I'm gonna call apex legends as a bad example for this because Titanfall maps had great design and intoxicating advanced movement.
also yeah dumb-fire Hydra can be wielded like a shotgun, landing direct shots brings enemies into melee kill health/shields wise very quickly
5's Hydra oozes style. A new, powerful weapon that gained many fans. Sad to see it go through the Infinite treatment, leaving it with a soulless redesign
I love the H5 Hydra, and the Typhon variant is brutal 💪
Early Hydra on Noctis is the best!
If by "soulless redesign" you mean, actually looks like a halo weapon then sure.
@@Nighterlev”Almost none of the weapons in Halo infinite look like halo weapons” points out the outlier being the commando since it’s a new gun, AR is based off the Reach design, BR looks like the classic halo BR, SPNKR looks the same as always, Sidekick gives H2 pistol vibes, The Bandit Rifle is literally the reach DMR without a Scope, Sniper is literally H5s sniper with a better scope, the only weapons that don’t look like halo are the bulldog and commando, lmfao
@@Nighterlev "Almost none of the new weapons in HI look like Halo weapons" yeah sure bud let's pretend Halo 5 didn't get shit on by everyone due to its obnoxious and overcomplicated art style that strayed too far from the beloved original designs. Infinite's Hydra has the most Halo-esque design 343 could have come up with, it could seamlessly fit into the Bungie era Halo yet y'all are still complaining for the sake of it. And yes, the Commando doesn't look like a UNSC weapon because it was created by the Insurgents, not UNSC, but I'd take the Commando over any of Halo 5's UNSC weapon designs anytime
they didn't need to nerf the hydra this damn hard
I actually think it went from kinda op to perfectly balanced. It's powerful against infantry and vehicles. It's versatile. I love the Hydra, and I think Infinite has the more balanced version.
@@amcname8789 not for me i understand the 2-tappped from the hydra might be annoying but nerfing the damage while tracking?!?!?
it wasn't just nerfed, it was neutered.
that said i do like that the non-tracking mode is useful now in that the missiles go FLYING across the map
@@amcname8789It does okay it just isn't fun to use. It feels slow and unresponsive. Not to mention the fact that you can get a faster kill with the sidekick, which you literally spawn with.
They did cause it's a different game
I do prefer infinites for the non lock on mode, but 5s for the lock on.
I've said it so much, Infinite's Hydra looks STRAIGHT OUT OF MINECRAFT with how blocky it is
Halo infinites hydra makes no sense. It penalizes for no reason, isn’t consistent, it’s more of an anti vehicle weapon. But even then it doesn’t work as you’d expect. Over all it’s too slow, loads too slow, and doesn’t give any real benefit to one on one encounters.
Hilariously bad anti vehicle weapon. It barely has any lock on range.
@@manz7860 it’s a horrible weapon regardless. It was more effective against vehicles in the H5.
I’d kill a man to have 5s hydra back. The reload animation was perfect and I didn’t confuse it for the assault rifle when a dead guy dropped one and I need ammo
Bet Aozolai is tired of hearing this but would there a video comparing the varients of Halo infinite weaponry? One I don't see any difference is the Hydra Seeker varient compared to the standard or the shock rifle.
Halo 5 hydra is a weapon of its own. Beefy, sneaky, and still had a high skill ceiling. Infinite’s hydra is cringy to use and feels like they just put it in to serve as an anti-vehicle necessity.
I like how it’s balanced in Infinite a lot more. Goddamn, everything killed way too fast in H5
Hydra is just not even worth a single thought in infinite. They nerfed it to the ground for no reason. Also it looks like a bigger assault rifle in infinite which is lame imo
Personally Halo 5 Hydra would look a bit better with a gray/green color scheme similar to a lot of other UNSC Weapons, Halo Infinite’s Hydra is kinda meh design wise but that’s just me
Damn vehicles in Halo infinite are made out of paper, except of course when its Scorpion of the enemy team
the HUD for H5 Hydra with the revolver style indicator for how many missles left and telling you if it's seeking or not is so much more informative and better laid out than Infinite. I never played H5 bc I play Infinite and MCC on my laptop with mouse and keyboard
I would love to see a speed up to the reload of Infinites so it matches the old one
The seeker does WORSE than hipfire in Infinite? Man it was SUPPOSED to be used to track foes and vehicles
I guess they traded tracking for missile power.... not sure though how the same loaded missiles do less damage lol
@@AozolaiI like to think of it as velocity. Not having to focus on acquiring targets means it can focus fully on going as fast as possible. Does it make sense? Idk, but whatever, game balancing.
@@Nighterlevin infinite, if enemies are far away you’ll notice the tracking missiles go a bit slower
It's weird how much they nerfed tracking shots yet buffed dumb fire so much by comparison.
The H5 hydra's performance is more similar to Infinite's pursuit variant of the hydra, I think.
I’m honestly shocked so many people prefer H5’s Hydra design than Infinite’s. In Infinite it actually looks like it would be a part of the UNSC’s arsenal, it’s design in H5 looks fuck ugly to me.
In terms of gameplay though, I do miss the destructive capability the Hydra had in H5 but I can appreciate Infinite’s take on it being less overpowered and more balanced. You have actual incentive to use the hip fire mode in Infinite due to faster travel time and more damage, whereas in H5 you would always prefer lock on.
Looks unique in H5, captures Halo's strange but cool weapon like Needler, Sword, etc. All it needed was slightly more military color skin instead of the multi-colored aesthetic. Ultimately easily solved with weapon coatings.
Infinite looks like a fanmade weapon for halo reach
@@deathtrooper2048that's a fucking complement if you've seen the fan made weapons for Reach.
@@AozolaiI’ll just assume I’m the outlier then. And thanks for being respectful!
@@Nighterlev I gotta love how you just opted to disagree with everything I said without trying to elaborate on why you think differently than I do. Nice rage bait, I gotta say.
Halo 5's hydra looks like something straight out of other games
The BR in 2004
bungie had a much more rounded and organic art style than halo infinite. Infinite straight up makes everything just blocks. Bungies human weapons barely had any straight edges. Everything was smooth, round and had flow to it. Magnum, smg, assault rifle, battle rifle (especially the battle rifle), the og sniper, the shotgun (was literally round, had a round tip, and rounded indentations), etc. Halo 5 had a different style of "roundness" that didn't look like halo at all, but infinite somehow managed to make some weapons look even less like something you would find in halo. I think the only 2 exceptions i could find in bungies halo where the halo reach assault rifle and the dmr, both of which looked fairly out of place on release before we got used to them
Can you do a video comparing Infinite & H5's grenades?

Why does it seem like halo 5 just had way better gun play
All the weapons were powerful and fun to use.
Because every weapon played the same while Infinite goes back to the CE-Halo 3 style of how each guns has a specific purpose, for example the Magnum in halo 5 could outclass the AR and BR from medium range and close range, in infinite the sidekick doesn’t have the capability.
343 needs to stop designing weapons in infinite to look that blocky and unproportionate
better than 5’s designs lmao
@@Nighterlev Because infinites weapons designs are the closest we gotten to classic halo designs, which were perfectly fine and never needed the shit overly sci-fi redesigns the first place lol. Not saying infinite is perfect btw, but it’s leagues better than the redesigns we got from h4 and h5 on both armor and weapons.
@@Nighterlev Love the fact that you’re freaking out like a neckbeard rn over halo lol. But one of the biggest praises infinite got is the art style change from h4 and h5. Also remember the H5 rocket launcher lol.

Back when i played you couldnt have dreamed of losing a fight with a BR to an AR.

I find Infinite’s Hydra so ugly
Halo Infinite, la burla del gaming 🥱
It seems halo 5s was ment to kill Spartans extremely quickly and halo infinite's was ment more for vehicles but could still be used effectively against Spartans
I prefer the halo infinite one because i feel that every gun in halo shouldn't kill you the second you turn a corner makes the game more balanced halo isnt cod we don't need every gun shreading
Design wise i also prefer halo infinite mainly because although the hydra is a unsc wepon in halo 5 it looks nothing like anything its a blob i think if that model was used for a alien wepon then it could work but it just doesn't make sense i wish the missles in infinites poped out more when in tracking
@@Nighterlev firstly I brought up cod because all the guns there are just ment to kill quick compared to Halo where the guns are more unique
The reason I prefer the Halo infinite one is because it actually looks like humans made it while the old one would have better fit as a covenant weapon
What are you talking about it being useless against vehicles? If your in a wasp or banshee you practically have to avoid them or your dead in seconds and with mongoose it'll kill the two on them
if you watch the video when they show the time to kill you can clearly see that the Hydra is useful in infinite is just more geared twords being an anti-vehicle weapon but still kills Spartans faster than the assault rifle or sidekick and I agree with your statement that if a gun is not better than the starting weapons you shouldn't pick them up but I don't think the Hydra should be overall better than a rocket launcher
Edit: spelling
But that was the whole point of Halo or more accurately classic Halo which had overpowered weapons which had unique counter weapon variants, a perfect balance. Made it so much fun in sandbox and tdm even so against op vehicles.
@@edo-san I'm going to be honest I'm starting to think I didn't word what I ment In the best way I'm not saying there shouldn't be powerful guns with counters I'm saying there shouldn't be one gun that's better than all the rest if the Halo 5 Hydra was in Halo infinite no one would ever want to use anything other than that one weapon because why use anything else
@@theapocalypticfish The issue is its SO bad in H:I that you're better off not running it in MOST situations.
If i can 5 shot someone with a fu cking sidekick in less than 2 seconds, and it takes 3-5 seconds of fu cking around with the Hydra.... Why would i ever pick the Hydra up.
And tbh out of everything in the sandbox the hydra is pretty shit for killing vehicles. You are better off with ANY shock weapon. ANY sniper rifle. ANY type of explosive. And chances are you'll get the kill faster with a BR anyway. It REALLY is not that good against vehicles unless you are Direct Hitting the Driver.
The Infinite sandbox is SHIT. Anyone who plays for more than 2 hours a fortnight knows this.
We lost most of Halo's sandbox for this rigid, illthought and illbalanced competitive shitfest where 7/10th's of the weapons arent worth picking up.
Everyone used to say the Brute Spiker was a bad weapon... Its still better than half of the Infinite sandbox.
@@NighterlevAs someone who actually uses the Hydra in Infinite, your point is moot
the halo 5 hydra while has more character doesn't match the existing design style of human weapons in halo games, it looks more covenant. the infinite design looks human and that it could have been in halo's 1-reach.
maybe they were inspired by covenant designs, humans have been using both covenant and forerunner tech for years now.
H5 had way better sandbox
Halo infinite weapons feel so weak it hurts me more than the enemy
Halo infinite hydra sucks
Halo infinite hydra launcher kinda sucks ass ngl. I much prefer halo 5s
It’s crazy how much better infinite looks compared to 5. The hydra from 5 looks like a mutated nerf gun with tumors and strange colors all over
Infinite's Hydra looks so bad and basic, which is fitting considering how bad the gun is on Infinite, if 343 ever adds Halo 4/5 designs as models for weapons on Infinite, the Hydra will be the first to get that model
Nah, I like the H5 Hydra more. To each their own
Maybe on the color scheme i can partially agree. Those green/orange stripes are a bit off-putting i'll admit. But i think the body itself looks pretty nice.
bro infinites is so bland looking it literally just looks like a big blocky ar, could use another redesign. 5 has a much better look like an actual futuristic gun.

Bring back the Hydra from Halo 5 & get rid of this garbage imposter that's in Infinite.
I don't think 343 ever planned to have the same amount of weapon variations in Infinite. We'll likely never know the exact reason, but some that I can think of are
(1) New players that are unaware. I still remember the first time I saw someone go off with Whispered Truth. It felt like a hack.
(2) Balancing goes completely out the window
(3) No Warzone mode which was made in large part to drive Req pack sales which they emphasized with rare, but insanely powerful weapons.
(4) Many weapons were added during the post release crunch of H5 which massively drained the talent. They never wanted to do that again.
All of those are BS, Halo 5 had an amazing weapon sandbox
They literally told us the reason. "We dont want conflicting weapon roles in the sandbox"
AKA multiple SMG's, multiple DMR's, multiple AR variants.
And ultimately they rendered that useless by adding the DMR in the ranged role. Competing with the BR And the Commando/snipers.
You can put it down to laziness, budget & manpower constraints. Ontop of developer churn as the game shifts away from its original viewpoints.
We KNOW the reasons why. What i dont understand is why 343 is so deadset on reinventing the wheel every Halo. Who the fu ck invented the pulse carbine??? We had plasma rifles.
They tried to develop a strict competitive sandbox, and in doing so they Lost 90% of what the Halo Sandbox was.
Fuel rods, Plasma rifles, Plasma Pistols(infinite Butchered the PP), Beam rifles, Needle rifles, Brute Spikers, Brute Shots. Hell even newer stuff like the concussion rifle.... All gone.
And what we have in return is a dogshit sandbox with mostly un-usable weapons like the fu cking Ravager. And Infinites rendition of the Plasma Pistol.....
343 Needs to go back and actually play Halo 1,2 and 3. Its not just about the competitive sandbox. Its about worldbuilding and diversity.
Its about the FEELING of the game when Brutes actually have Brute weapons. When the covenant actually has covenant weapons.
The plasma rifle was an alien counterpart to the Assault Rifle. It is WORLDBUILDING. The Pulse Carbine is an attempt to fit into a rigid sandbox that they have since fu cked up anyway.
And the fact that we lost all that deeply effects the overall vibe of the franchise.
Now I imagine they're suffering post release crunch to make new overpriced cosmetics to line the pockets of their corporate owners.
I find really fun to use the Infinite Hydra while hip firing, but i feel is a little to effective against vehicles
The entire sandbox is too effective against vehicles.
I cant remember the last time i spent more than 30 seconds in a wasp/banshee/wraith or scorpion before i got blown up.
But my teams always more than happy to let the enemy team have full control over vehicles for the whole game :D
Halo 5 is still a better game , infinite flopped let's be real
5's Hydra looked so much better. Infinite's just looks like a chunky assault rifle
Halo 5 hydra 🤢
But . . . isn’t that the point? H5’s Hydra, TO ME, looks like if someone threw in a bunch of random colors and shapes, it was the weirdest weapon design I think I’ve seen in any game. Couldn’t even tell what I was looking at first time I picked it up.
In Infinite though, it looks like an actual UNSC weapon because it fits in with the UNSC art style (although I wouldn’t mind some kind of secondary color, a red stripe down the side for example). You can’t tell me H5’s Hydra fits in with any of those parameters.
But if you really like H5’s design more, then more power to you. I’ll respect your opinion.
@@nicholasshealy9040 Yee i agree. I actually love the redesign of the hydra. It looks way cleaner.

Being “post war” has nothing to do with it and shouldn’t be an excuse.

I don't care what anyone says, aesthetic wise, I like the look of the Hydra in Halo Infinite. But damn does it suck gameplay wise. It meets to be closer to Halo 5. It should be that it can lock on the vehicles faster and at longer ranges but damage overall improved to that of Halo 5
It doesn't need a better lock on for vehicles dude. It can take down any vehicle in 6 missiles or less apart from the scorpion and wraith. If you can't hipfire and hit a hog then I have no idea what to tell you
@briang590 I'm not your dude, pal. You clearly didn't watch the video, hydra weak as shit. And I'm talking range and faster tracking. Aka it locks on to bigger targets faster than smaller targets aka infantry. Plain and simple.
