Construct Master once I kill 3 Spartans with a single arclight shot without hitting any of them
and people say the arclight is shit...well I don't think so.
I know it makes more sense to use the Whiplash one most occasions because of it being REQ Level 4 but I think Arclight is worth bringing out! Mad amount of power in that one shot...
Also, I had no idea about the blast radius being that strong for these three weapons?!

You didn't do a damage quantity assessment for these - I'm really curious to know the relative damage output of the 3 tiers of railguns vs. vehicles. Like, how many whiplash shots to take down the various tiers of banshees, and how that differs from the arclight and base railgun. I usually REQ the arclight if i want to deal max damage, but not sure how MUCH more damage I'm dealing.
Overall though, love your vids. Thanks for taking the time to investigate and share info.

Question about the Arclight - does it create a blast radius when the projectile hits anything, even if it goes through? Or does it only create it when it hits something it doesn't pass through?
for me, the arclight is better than whiplash due to its "infinite hold down trigger" feature, which makes it a low-scope nornfang but easier to use
You should include maximum charge time for Railgun and Whiplash before they automatically fire.

Well MAC comes from magnetic acceleration, which is exactly what a railgun does.
MAC Cannons are literally just oversized railguns.
Am I the only one that thinks the Whiplash and Arclight should swap places tier wise? I just feel like the Whiplash is superior in many aspects. Anyway, great video as always!

i think the logic is that the arclight is a much better vehicle killer
+Jack Elphinstone I actually prefer the Whiplash over the Arclight. However, keep in mind that the Arclight's stats such as projectile damage/efficiency, kill radius, and blast radius are much better than the Whiplash (except charge time of course).

Hmm.. Fair point. But then again - the Arc has a greater explosive dmg area + penetrates through Spartan/Vehicle. So on the battlefield you literally could fire through someone and it'll travel across the map and spike anything in it's path lol which I think is awesome. The Whip is def awesome too though with it's dual round capacity.
Imagine if the Whiplash had the same amount of power as the Archlight.

I knew Arclight was good, but I didn't realize just how big its kill radius was or how you could kill pilots of certain vehicles without totally destroying said vehicles. This is why I watch these videos. Even after so much time playing Halo I learn something new that helps me improve my gameplay. Keep up the good work!

When I saw the arclight pierce all those gooses I was like HOLY FRICKEN CRAP!
Equivalents of Magnetic acceleration weapons:
1. Normal Railgun = Normal MAC gun
2. Whiplash Railgun = Modified MAC gun of UNSC Pillar of Autumn that cam fires several slugs per charge then once per charge.
3. Arclight Railgun = Super MAC variant, that shoots a slugs with more speed, giving to the projectile more penetration capability.
Normally I hate Halo 5's sound design, but hoo BOY they hit the fuckin bullseye with that railgun. I feel like it'd be really easy to accidentally get your finger caught in the rails tho

I find it funny that rail guns are projectile weapons and regular guns are hit scan um rail guns have leagues better muzzle velocity than standard guns.

Whoaly shit man. I swear some of the things I'm not even aware of such as the higher explosive dmg from the Whiplash + the APHE capability of the Arc blew my mind lol - I wasn't even aware of how much penetration the Arc has.

what about distance? does the distance alter the TTK in any way? Like if you were to shoot really far with the railgun, would you still kill the guy?
Considering the Arclight can shoot through a ton of Gungooses (essentially distance, and repeated layers of penetration) and not suffer any damage drop-off, I don't think there is any.

Something extra: An arclight projectile shot at the back of a wraight (in the weak point) will destroy and kill the Spartan inside.

If you slow the video down you can see that the last gungoose actually got destroyed. However, it looks like it didn't because sometimes explosions in close proximity go off at slightly different times in Forge because of explosion overload. I hope that clarifies :)
