I think Fincher's comment on the film's popularity is so interesting: "It’s impossible for me to imagine that people don’t understand that Tyler Durden is a negative influence,” he says. “People who can’t understand that, I don’t know how to respond and I don’t know how to help them.”

I agree he is a negative influence, but also the POV I was trying to show here is that he isn’t afraid to challenge society and the norm..

@@Stucturevids That's true! I kind of find the film very funny because it demonstrates that Tyler just ends up replacing one norm with another, worse norm. The men go from being "faceless corporate employees" to being "nameless terrorists", which is hardly an improvement! It's very interesting, the way the film just shows that Tyler's path is not the one to follow.
