    I absolutely hate the narratives casuals form about cp3 and I’m glad that video was made to showcase the lies that people tell about him. I’m not biased either. He’s my favorite player. But I’ve been watching the guy for pretty much his entire career and I am VERY critical of him sometimes myself. Especially in the playoffs. Because the one major issue besides Injuries that u can absolutely blame on him is him being so unselfish all the time. In his prime he could score whenever he wanted to but he wanted to play that John stockon type role sooo bad that he just wasn’t as aggressive as I wanted him to be at times. Just like Steve Nash and Stockton, he loved to set everyone else up when a lot of the time, he was by far the best option to scorer. A mor selfish cp couldve easily average 25 and 8 instead of 18 and 11 and still had the exact same impact. You’d look up some times and see that cp has only taken 7 shots all game and it’s the 4th quarter and I’d be screaming at the tv for him to take over the game. But then sometimes he would do it and he’d absolutely TORCH Eveyone. And sometimes he let the defense off the hook by not attacking.

      But outside of that, his only major flaw was his height and the injuries. I’ve watched evey single playoff game the man has had for the last 15 years. No way in hell am I ever gonna except people acting like he’s never played well in the playoffs and he’s just a choker when that’s simply not true. That shit always pissed me off because people be just straight LYING about CP.

    1 Magic
    2 Steph
    3 Isiah
    4 O
    5 West
    6 Kidd
    7 Westbrook
    8 CP3
    9 Nash
    10 Kyrie
    CP3 is a carbon copy of Isiah Thomas with one difference - Clutchness. Isiah was a killer. He took games over in the clutch, and played better the bigger the moment.

      He doesn’t play like zeke entirely. Maybe the younger cp did a bit. But older cp post 2014 plays more like a mix of Zeke and Stockton

    For me, it comes to Magic vs Oscar/West
    Magic was flashy both in his handles and passing. Big O (when I was watching) never put the ball thru his legs or behind his back but had phenomenal fingertip control such that he never lost it… not one time in my recollection.
    Because his cadence was very quick the ball was always in his hands and his passes, although not flashy, were on target threading the needle so that he led the league in assists for 8 years.
    One last point… great players make their teammates better. Magic did that but Kareem, Worthy, Scott, Wilkes and Nixon all made Magic better… i.e., his team ran and the players were much better than Big O’s mates: Lucas, Embry .and Adrian Smith. Had Oscar had Kareem and Worthy during his prime I think he would have averaged 15 assists per game without a demonstrable decrease in his scoring as he would have gotten more layups on the break and open 20 footers when Kareem was doubled.
    Big O was better then Magic in his era and its not that close.

    i didnt know he is that good also for me he cant be better then john stockton though

    • @TheIcemanthomas
      @TheIcemanthomas 10 дней назад +1

      He absolutely is. Stocktons only argument is longevity. He was never the level of player cp was. He was never an mvp caliber talent. Just a strong numbe two. And his passing lack d versatility in comparison. Not to mention cp is just as good a defender and a much better scorer.

      @@jakubkubalek5036 Stockton was good, but waaaaay overrated. Saw him live. Elite PGs ran circles around him. Show me his "dominance" without mentioning longevity:
      -Show me 1 game in his entire career where he scored 35pts
      -Show me 1 season where he was the best player on his own team
      -Show me 1 season he was top 5 in MVP votes
      -Show me 1 Finals where he didn't personally s*** the bed
      🤷‍♂️... You can't. So how is he suddenly top 5 PG EVER??

    • @TheIcemanthomas
      @TheIcemanthomas 10 дней назад

      @@nathanlawson313 now let’s get carried away. Elite PGs did not run circles around him. He’s put a 20 20 game on magic. Gary Payton had no answer for Stockton. Stockton couldn’t be stopped and he did whatever he wanted on the floor. He simply just wasn’t a tier one type of pg at his peak. He’s what I call a true setup man. He wasn’t a manipulator. He didn’t Ben defenses the way steve Nash , magic, cp, jokic, lebron, bird, and others do. He ran system plays, and got his guys the ball on point and on time, every time. Nobody did that better than him. He stuck to what ge wa a great at and it worked perfectly fine. But the thing with him is that all the other greats could do that as well, but they also could CREATE opportunities for their teammates out of nothing and didn’t rely on the set plays and simple reads. In other words, Stockton would read the instructions and put the table together perfectly. Chris Paul would manufacture the parts himself before putting it togetehr
