I love the way you’ve kept makaiah’s privacy on social media, if I were famous I think I’d do the exact same, showing her from the side and maybe from time to time showing her face but mostly just the side and more focus on me than her. So refreshing seeing a youtuber not using their kids for views and not striving to be a family channel lol you’re doing great Jess!!

I think it’s the right call not to show her face, if I was her I’d really appreciate that when I got older. Also, people online can be so awful and although most of your followers want to see her face for sweet and loving reasons, not everyone online is safe. I think it’s totally possible to show your family life and integrate her into vlogs without showing her face!

I love how often Makaiah is shown, it's like you guys get to respect her privacy without never putting a camera on her! I think so many viewers feel like because you share so much that it's owed but it's 100% not like that. I love that we get to see her without a camera being put directly in her face:) Even if that's what you guys wanted to do(become a family channel) you guys know what's best for your family! i love the fact that having a child doesnt change your purpose on making contents. you and gabe didnt start as a family vlogger and now you guys deliver makaiah as an important part of your lives without showing her off too much. thats something i rarely see on internet nowadays. seeing that you guys understand that kids are also human being that deserve privacy rather than showing her face off just because they dont understand anything yet is a really good principle. keep up the good work😉

waxing is great! the first time will hurt a lot...but after a couple of appointments youll realize that its so worth it and the feeling afterwards is amazing. everything will be softer and and youll say goodbye to the itching and the pain and the in-grown hair. DO IT

I started using natural cycles when you mentioned in one of your previous videos and honestly it’s great! I’ve learnt so much about my body that I even know when I ovulate by what my body goes through, but when you start using it you have to be patient, use it consistently and use LH tests, the program needs at least 3-4 months of data to understand you properly but it’s totally worth it with how to understand your body more
I agree, like I'm at the point where I can tell where I am in my cycle from the liquid, my temperature, appetite and digestion. It feels more natural tracking this way
I've tried it as well but iit doesnt prevent pregnancies tho, it only tells you what days you are fertile. What do you use on those days then?

Girl I totally don’t blame you for not posting pictures of your babe. Literally I only post pictures of my daughter on my personal Instagram and Facebook where I’m only friends with family and some friends who I feel I can trust.
But social media is so scary. I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve went down rabbit holes of sick people who do awful things with images of babies and the way they’re exploited and sexualized and it’s terrifying. All to say do what you feel is best for your baby, don’t feel pressured to do things you don’t want to just appease your followers. At the end of the day your baby’s safety and security is most important, even over your job and I’m glad you’re sticking to that conviction.

I do like tiktok, but I LOVE a long VLOG/video
I can fully understand your thoughts about wether or not to show your daughters face on RUclips etc. I think it’s a decision you really have to be intentional with and think a lot about and I want to encourage you to continue to listen to your instincts, gut feeling however you want to name it. I can understand people who’d love to see more family content. But I think it’s your decision and everyone should respect that and also the way it changes the content from the Jess and Gabriel channel. 💛
I’m watching your videos for years now and I really enjoy your content and even though I loved the vlogs back over at the other channel I can fully understand why you are doing things differently right now!

I think it's great that you are giving a lot of thought to whether or not you will show your child online. We are the first generations to have our children grow up with social media from a young age and we are already seeing the many disadvantages and dangers that come with posting very private details as well as photos and videos of children online. I feel like most people posting "everyday" content about their children don't realize that the whole world has access to it (which can be very dangerous in terms of pictures and videos being abused) and that their children will grow up to a reality, in which so many random people know more about their childhood and their life in general than they themselves can even remember. A big cue here is possible bullying in school as well as other disadvantages in their future (jobs etc.). And consent is also a big issue, because they are not really able to consent to it all until they reach a certain age. I have actually done a lot of research on this topic and it's not as harmless as most people seem to think.

Hey Jess, I am almost 10 years ahead of you, and people here think I am your age or as young as 18. Things I do are organic masks when I remember or feel like it lol and a daily face wash morning and night. Plus SPF 50+ moisturizer everyday like clockwork or a Blue light protector organic moisturizer if you know you'll be staring at a screen more than outdoors because blue light ages the skin too. Get your parents to buy the Aldi Lacura brand in Aussie if interested (only available in the summer). My Dad posts it to me. Low number of ingredients and absorbs really well without sitting on your skin causing acne like Nivea moisturizer imo. Also, you are what you eat, so eat well, keep taking your supplements and sit in the shade more than the sun in general. Mud masks are a god send for the self care days when you feel like you look not your best. Even my partner noticed the difference. Love your videos!
there are a lot of people in the world who sadly have bad intentions for children growing up on the internet so never feel pressured to show Makaiah on camera. plus at the end of day, she's your child not ours ! much love jess !

I love that you are protecting Makaiah's privacy online. Not showing her face can definitely be part of that although I think that you won't be able to recognize her later in life just from having seen her face as a baby. What I personally find most important is not to share to much information on children such as what they like or dislike, private moments and embarrassing situations, etc. In my opinion, every child should have the opportunity to grow up without having strangers know them or talk a lot about them. Children live in such small worlds that I would never ever want to confront my child with being known outside of their friend group and school. It is already overwhelming for adults to have so many reactions to whatever they do that I'm convinced, it can be very harmful on children.
You know, I have so much respect for you keeping Makaiah off of social media. That’s how I want to be when I become a mother someday. I know you post some things about her but keeping her mostly private is exactly how I would do it. You go girl ❤ you can show her to us whenever you want 😊
So on the skin care... your body stops producing collagen, which is the main structural protein in your connective tissues so in layman's terms you're more prone to get wrinkles after 25, so make sure to take collagen. You may know this already, but it's found really at any pharmacy that carries supplements. Blessings ✌🏻🩷
Unfortunately large scale clinical trials have shown that collagen peptides cannot make it through the human digestive system well enough to get collagen to the dermis/skin. But can somewhat help a little with joint pain or arthritis.

@@allie_alz topicals are less effective than supplements due to molecule size not being absorbed through the pores. But they are trying to work around it, just not there yet.

I've noticed a huge difference when I started waxing my kitty instead of shaving. I just take an Advil an hour before my appointment, and make sure I'm clean. Then, it only stings the first couple of times you go but it looks so good and lasts about a month and a half. And when it grows back, it's slow and kind of patchy but I think it's worth it! It doesn't hurt (well...) to try it for the first time and decide what to do next!

Periods post partum are nothing compare to before! in my experience, no more pain, not a lot of blood, just perfect. Don't be scared, it is not terrible at all! (and I got it at 3 months post partum)

Waxing is so amazing down there! It lasts way longer than shaving. The only problem is that it’s really painful at first, but it gets better after the first couple times. Right after the initial pain of them pulling the hair, it’s not painful at all ❤ saves me time and energy!
