Great idea! Does it come with that carrying pouch? If not, where did you get it? Thanks
Thank you! It does not come with the pouch. The pouch is a waxed canvas bag that I handmade.
I’ve been camping forever. Never have I thought to split a pie iron in half and use as two pans . 🤦♂️ . Going to finally grab one of these guys.
It works great! So many possibilities. I plan on creating an entire playlist related to the pie iron, with lots of recipe ideas & inspiration. Thanks for watching!
@@JC.Journey ohh, that's going to be interesting.
It is definitely a handy cooking utensil. Thanks for the suggestion and for another helpful video. 🙂👍🏻🙏🏻💕
Thank you, it's been a lot of fun!
I like how compact it is, when stored. A few months ago I picked up the Firebox 5-way cast iron rectangular pans. I am having a lot of fun with them (highly recommended). you could do another video related to toy pie pans, "5 easy recipes" , etc if you want more content ideas.
We really like it's compact storage size as well! It's been a lot of fun - I plan on creating an entire playlist related to the pie iron, with lots of recipe ideas & inspiration.
I've had my eye on the Firebox 5" G2 stove for awhile and now my shopping list just grew bigger because I'm quite intrigued by the Firebox 5-way pans! 🤑 I imagine endless possibilities with it, especially with fall camping just around the corner!
@@JC.Journey I've got an adventure truck, just got back from a small trip. Started off as a day trip to local lake, but they have the back side of the lake closed. Since I brought my laptop with me, I decided to travel to another lake and spend the night. Once you get something set up for overlanding, with solar etc. It is amazing how easy everything is, from making morning coffee to camp cooking. I have a small 600 w induction stove I use with the firebox pan for quick breakfast burritos. I do not have the firebox 5" yet, I do have the square stove with butane burner that nests inside the boxpot, it is amazing to have all that in a small space. and I have the nano with alcohol. Your cast-iron iPads, but also work on an induction cooktop, I am imagining sausage, links sizzling in your next video lol. Have a good evening.
We've been pondering on getting one of these. This one looks perfect - thanks for the info! Ordered!
Thanks so much, hope you enjoy it as much as we do! I plan on creating a playlist filled with lots of fun ideas and recipes. Thanks for watching!
Such a wonderful watch. Thanks. Have a great week ahead 😊😊😊
Thank you very much - Happy Camping!
That pizza looked amazing. Well done.
Thank you! It was really good! 😊
Great idea for car camping. All good reasons to invest in 1. Thank you for sharing 👍
Thank you! Happy Camping!
We need that. Thanks for sharing.
It's sure been a lot of fun! Thanks for watching - Happy Camping!
As an Australian I'm used to jaffle irons, God we even have electric ones. First time seeing a pie iron, I like it. I swore to my children no more camping toys, but......
I'll need to research jaffle irons, I haven't heard of them before. Is there such a thing as too many camping toys? 😊 Thanks for watching!
In the UK we have the Ridge Monkey very similar but made of aluminium.
Yes, I’ve seen some others using the Ridge Monkey. It looks like a great option too! 😊
Im going to get one, thanks for posting 👍
Thank you! Hope you enjoy it as much as we do - Happy Camping!
Wonderful
Thank you! Cheers!
Never realized the handles screwed on and off. Good to know. Now considering getting one. They don't take up the room I thought they did.
The removable handles was a key selling point for us. We had an old one without removable handles, it was super awkward to store and so we rarely brought it with us. This one is really nice to use, store & maintain! 😊
I have a small cast iron skillet, it's definitely handy to cook, when hiking and camping.
I was wondering about the music you use in your nature videos if you could share a link to the music?
Cast iron is so great for camping, glad to hear you're enjoying it at camp as well. I use two music subscriptions: www.musicbed.com/invite/2sMOc and www.epidemicsound.com/referral/ylcclo
Thanks for watching!
@@JC.Journey thanks for sharing the music links.
You're most welcome.😊
In Australia we call them Jaffle irons
Have you run a lead test on this?
I have not, but I will.
A pie iron is a game-changer! We sent you an email, take a look.
