Tdflon in a product of dupont when the chemist came up with it he told them not to use on pots and pans as it would cause cancer. They told him to shut up they didnt want to hear that. Aluminum non stick coated griddle plate. No seasoning required. I have both models. Great portable units. The latching mechanism can be frustrating to get the regulator in and out but all else is a breeze. Smart design. I replaced my 22inch griddle for the convenience of these in our camper outfit. Portable convenience. Thanks Blackstone for another great product for my cooking tools collection.
Great review I’ve had this model for a few months and love it . Just a few things tho. The griddle is aluminum and it’s nonstick pre seasoned so no need to season and don’t use metal on it. The tray actually comes out of the back and the table that holds it in swings down so you hook it on the back and the tab braces it from the bottom. They make the throw away catch can liners and they are awesome. Hope you enjoy yours as much as we do ours. Way lighter than our old camping black stone for sure.
I just got back from a four day trip with this new stove. It worked great. Its just me and the dogs and i was looking for a simple stove for my coffee pot and a flattop for bacon/eggs/burgers/fajitas and this thing kicked butt! The local Walmart had it in stock. My cast iron pans wont fit this burner but I have my other propane stove for a bigger group or if the meal requires cast iron. I highly recommend this stove!
I cook on mine just about everyday. I got the gear made by Blackstone to cook with on this type of teflon griddle. I even got the burger smasher. Great system. Makes breakfast so easy. Makes dinner easy too. I have too many stoves but this one has all my attention since I got it.
I like it a lot. With this unit and the matching air fryer, I have been making pretty much anything I want at camp. It's a pretty slick line of products. Thanks for watching.
This looks like exactly what my wife and I have wanted in a camp stove. We have made-do with a Coleman and an after market addition of a Nordic Ware 14” backsplash griddle. This has worked great, but it would be nice to have something that is purpose-built and fits into one neat little package like this.
Wow! This may be exactly what I have been looking for! Remodeling and upgrading my RV. Nothing really wrong with my stove top, but it is 2 burner, showing a bit of rust but it can be taken outside. We like to grill outside so carry a small Coleman. This could replace them both plus the little green gas bottles. Great review
Thanks for watching. Wanted to make sure you saw my note in description, that it is a ceramic titanium coated aluminum griddle not cast iron as I mistakenly said.
Damnit I JUST bought a system of tight fitting totes for truck bed and my current stove/tote fits like a glove. This ones too big.. it's a never ending cycle of changing out upgrading and swapping lol. Thanks for the review man
Blackstone shut up and just take my money. I just bought a Coleman, haven't used it yet, but thinking of taking it back after seeing this review. I have the 22" Griddle and 36" Griddle from Backstone, both of which I love. But would like to test this Adventure out. Thanks for the review. I'm off to Walmart!
Thanks for watching. I mistakenly said it was iron when the griddle is aluminum. But I think most camping grills on the market are aluminum anyway, sooo.
The plastic handle broke on mine after less than 10 uses. One side completely cracked off and the other side has a crack in it. Was unsure about the non stick but love it. Easy to cook on, lighter to take it places, and easy to clean up. Blackstone is sending me a replacement handle at no cost but I'll be visiting a store to find something that isn't plastic. It was only being carried about 20ft at most from car to camp site. Something to keep an eye on, wouldn't want it breaking when carrying it.
@@jwusti85 uses a 4 3/4" handle. I ordered a metal one on Amazon and then got shorter screws from Home Depot. Easy to disassemble but still annoying. Blackstone will send a replacement but it's still plastic.
Living in coastal Louisiana I tend to take off on my boat for a day or two at a time to fish and get away, overnight I'll usually anchor right off the beach or in the marsh to set my tent on high ground. How to you realistically feel this stove would hold up to the pounding of being in a boat then being used in a salt water environment? Great content for a newer channel.
True. I ripped into the box like Christmas morning and didn't bother to read. I still need a bit of work on my script writing. lol. I noted in the description after it was pointed out. Thanks for checking it out.
I did. I have cast iron when I feel it’s necessary I can put on a burner or campsite grill. I just want to consolidate for day to day for my husband and I. We like to do road trips with minimal time at one spot.
I made pancakes with a light oil spray straight out of the box and it was fine. I honestly missed the part about it being aluminum (its heavy) until after I had done a couple seasoning cycles.
You know, cooking for fairly large (60-80) groups offsite, most often smoking, a whole day affair, I need genius way to actually cook for 6-8 friends when camping. Thanks, I'll check this out. Shit, at $139 I'll just go get one and let you know!
It's nice but I've ditched gas in favor of electric. I bought an dual induction burner off Amazon with a fitted cast iron griddle and now I use it at home and while camping. Y'all, invest into a Lithium Iron Phosphate battery bank it will change your (camping) life.
Nice. I went the electric pellet smoker route. I have 2000wh of ecoflow on the truck running that, a fridge, portable ac/heat, and a Margherita blender. Lol. Im a cook and like to play with various toys. Thanks for watching.
I received a 22 inch Blackstone as a gift on June 21, 2024. While assembling the unit a problem arose. Due to a manufacturing defect the grill would not fit onto the grill body. I notified customer support on the same day. They requested pictures of the problem which I sent that day. FOR ALMOST TWO (2) WEEKS I HEARD NOTHING FROM BLACKSTONE CUSTOMER SUPPORT. THEN AFTER TWO WEEKS THEY WANTED MORE PICTURES!! I responded that they had all the pictures they needed and should quit the runaround and send me the part! Today is July 29th and still nothing from them! They have the WORST CUSTOMER SUPPORT OF ANY COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH AND I AM IN MY 70s!!! Good luck if you ever buy anything from this company!!
I wanted one of these so bad when they came out this spring……until I found out the griddle is aluminum with a nonstick coating. So you have to use plastic tools and treat it like a nonstick pan……not good for a griddle.
Ours was junk. Igniter died on first trip. Lid is flimsy held up. Got replacement igniter under warranty...worked for a whole 10 clicks and then stopped. Returning ours to walmart.
Really nice design and build, however I would not buy it because of the coated aluminum griddle. I would rather it be heavier and use an iron or steel griddle.

😢 I like Blackstone products and own several models. Use them for camping, hunting & everything. The big drawback to this grill is the griddle. It should be iron or steel. Blackstone really dropped the ball on this one. An aluminum griddle??- that’s coated with Teflon? Ya, I assumed they made it the same as the other ones up until after I made this video, and someone pointed it out. I don't remember them making it really prominent on the box, and now I can see why. Thanks for the heads up.

so its not a true carbon steel or cast iron?
Great review. I thought they went with aluminum for weight savings instead of their usual cast iron griddle.

I would go with a Coleman two burner stove and a cast iron griddle. Especially since this griddle is Teflon coated which will wear out.

any honest thoughts on the aluminum coated griddle with this vs the standard "known for" Blackstone griddle? ....Does it need griddle "seasoning" ?

Did they charge extra for the Crack in the back of the lid?
