@@skidoomxz550x Fair enough. I think many are disappointed, myself included, it is an aluminum cooking surface. Both camping griddles are brilliant. Only problem is the aluminium griddles with nonstick. I get it is to save weight and would be really easy to clean. But just like all nonstick the coating eventually fails and food will stick and it will be a pain to clean and wear to a point where it needs to be replaced. It just depends on how careful you are, how high temperature you use and how often you use it.
Who is bringing a griddle along that is thinking about weight savings? This is 100% because Blackstone is saving money using a cheap nonstick coating on aluminum and passing it off as "weight savings".

Unfortunately probably not going to happen. I heard on another channel that this is a Wal-Mart exclusive. That would explain why this is not on the Blackstone website. Also probably explains why the griddle is aluminum. To save money and meet the Wal-Mart pressures for low price.
Reading the 1 and 2 star comments (totaling 13% of all reviews) mention a lack of quality control. Bubbles in the griddle top, parts breaking after 1 cook, screws stripped. Have you heard anything about that?
I bought the Adventure Ready 22 with stand a few months ago at a great price but if I'd realized this was coming, I would have waited. These look perfect for my overlanding setup.
@@SteveMayo-t5l I saw on another RUclips video about these that they were going to be Wal-Mart exclusives. Hi, Kevin! You don't need to announce anything. This video has 26,000 views as I'm typing this. I just put out the videos. You are under no obligation to buy anything. God bless you!
What a joke? For the size, the weight, the price, I'm talking about the 14" griddle with the side burner. An aluminum griddle is like an aluminum Wok? WTF? The side burner could not boil 2 cups of water on HIGH after 15 minutes? There are no side shields for wind? Luckily I did not purchase one of these but one of my long time camping cohorts did. What a disappointment this was for him. And I had to haul that dead weight in the back of my truck.
Which stand will fit these Adventure Ready Camping Griddles? I can only find stands for 17" and 22". Also, are there attachable shelves for the stand? If so, which shelves are they? I'd like a stand with 2 extended shelves (one on each side).
Add me to the disappointed list. I don't want to be constantly worrying about scratching that non-stick junk, much less while camping. Keep things simple. Give us a steel version. Such a cool product but that griddle surface completely kills it for me.
We just learned about this griddle. We love idea of nonstick and compact size. Since you work for Blackstone , when will this be available?? Thier site as well as Walmart are sold out. Thanks
I just picked up the 14" griddle with single burner. Ive seen different videos and am confused. Can I use metal spatulas and scrapers on the griddle or not. Some say teflon or plastic which melts. Which one?
I purchased the 22 inch griddle for our first camping trip in April. Heats up very fast and worked wonderfully. However, while picking it up to put in the storage unit of the travel trailer the handle came loose on the left side. Fortunately my left arm kept me from dropping it. The left handle bracket was loose from the factory. In order to tighten I will have to practically disassemble the burners and the cover plate. Not cool.
MAN Blackstone, why do you just refuse to make a cut down 22 for campers? A dual burner 19 or 20 inch grill would be awesome, or even a dual burner 17. The 22 is just to big and heavy to carry around in a rv and the 17 doesn't get hot enough with its one little burner. But that doesn't mean we want a grill we are going to throw away in a year when the aluminum is all warped and the non stick is worn off. You are pushing people to other brands because you flat out refuse to give people what they want.
Who's brilliant idea was it to use a coated aluminum griddle over at @blackstone ? There is no way people are going to buy this. The concept is good but the aluminum is a deal killer. Hopefully, @blackstone comes with a steel version.
These are now coming to Canada, cast aluminum is durable and long lasting and the coating is NOT teflon. The light weight will be fantastic, blackstone griddlecand coleman stove for camping👍
Thanks for this. I had the 17 inch in my cart at the store an hour ago...then saw the new 20 inch. I decided to put the 17 inch back and research more...and didn't realize the 20 inch was cast aluminum. I'll likely go back to the 17 inch after all.

I don't care for aluminum griddle. I get the weight issue but for me it's more the health issue. Dutch Ovens are not made of aluminum and or shouldn't be if there are some now. The cast iron griddles are actually good for your iron intake. I'll deal with the weight issue, the rest of the stove seems great
Hopefully someone comes out with a cast iron or rolled steel griddle. Bummed this is non stick aluminum. Our kitchen stove came with an aluminum griddle and we swapped it out right away for a cast iron.
Aluminum.....really???
Cool might be good for cooking on my boat for shore lunch.. or just craving a burger, Philly, or percolating a pot of coffee on the burner!
Change griddle material, then I'll buy 2 of them. PS build a coffee pot.
They have a coffee thing coming out soon.
Teflon coated aluminum griddle with plastic spatulas. That’s a hard no!
No teflon. ceramic titanium coating
No aluminium..
I'm not even seeing them online. I could the first day the video came out but now I'm not finding them.
Walmart only for now.
YES, about time.. the 22" Blackstone i take camping is heavy and to bulky. Even with the carrying bag.
I work for Blackstone and I completely understand. These are fairly heavy but their small size and the CARRYING HANDLE make a world of difference for me too!!!!
Swing and a miss - Teflon griddle top is a big mistake by Blackstone.
No teflon. ceramic titanium coating
Model numbers are 2246 and 2250
I like this idea, especially the first version. No aluminum though, please! Fix that and I'm in! I currently have two blackstones BTW.
I want one but will wait for the cast steel plate version.
Me too.
Yep 👍
Unfortunately probably not going to happen. I heard on another channel that this is a Wal-Mart exclusive. That would explain why this is not on the Blackstone website. Also probably explains why the griddle is aluminum. To save money and meet the Wal-Mart pressures for low price.
That is sad. This would be perfect for the overland trailer but I will not use nonstick items. @@garretlewis4103
lost me at cast aluminum with nonstick coating
Reading the 1 and 2 star comments (totaling 13% of all reviews) mention a lack of quality control. Bubbles in the griddle top, parts breaking after 1 cook, screws stripped. Have you heard anything about that?
I bought the Adventure Ready 22 with stand a few months ago at a great price but if I'd realized this was coming, I would have waited. These look perfect for my overlanding setup.
Exactly I bought the same one and I had the same though. This would have killed two birds with the same cook top
Aluminum nonstick griddle...you made the right choice
@@jimbob9631 Agreed.....right choice with the cast iron cook surface vs. the nonstick aluminium.
I can't find this on the Blackstone website to sale. Is this not possible to buy from Blackstone directly?
@@SteveMayo-t5l I saw on another RUclips video about these that they were going to be Wal-Mart exclusives. It would explain why they are not on the Blackstone website and you are not able to purchase them directly from Blackstone. Do your research. I have also read about some quality issues on these. If they are Wal-Mart exclusives, it would explain the quality issues and probably one of the reasons they went with an aluminium griddle. Wal-Mart pressuring Blackstone to keep the cost low.
like it except the aluminum
I have the 2 burner , I think 22 inch, with stand.. think you mentioned, kinda like that for the camping I do. Disclosure.. I do have a 1986 hilo camper. But prefer to cook outside. Great video, love ❤️ love that corn you put out years ago 😂, still making my own version to this day! 😀
Todd, great video. Now it seems the 14 and 20” have totally disappeared from the Blackstone site and Walmart. Did they discontinue them.
Cool idea! That would save a lot space in my camping trailer
YES!!!!
Yes, space saving; however, aluminum, non-stick griddle is not the same as the other Blackstone griddles.
Yup, bought one yesterday, will get to use it in a couple weeks when we camp near Leadville. We have silicone utensils for our non stick pots & pans so that’s no big change,
Thanks!
Aluminum won’t distribute heat evenly like steel.however, I love the design!
I've used them all and more steel griddles than you've ever seen. Let me tell you, this model performs and distributes heat as well or better than any I've ever used. I'm editing up the first cook video for my Let's Give It A Try show right now. Thanks for watching!
Yep, like a lot of others, I don’t want aluminum. Make it steel and I will one one for each of my camping kids
Dudes be getting winded just loading their camping gear, but wants a full blown cast iron to carry around 😂
No thanks Todd. I’ll keep using my 22” while camping.
The briefcase design is SICK! the fact the griddle isnt steel ........makes it worthless.
I’m in the never aluminum cooking camp. Disappointed with Blackstone. This size would have been perfect for me.
Huge mistake by Blackstone. I'll stick with my $20 coleman until Blackstone decides to go back to steel.
Which one?
This would be perfect for my microcamper build but I cant find it linked anywhere on walmart or blackstone’s website. Anyone have a link to it?
Same. The Walmart dept manager looked at me I had 2 heads when asking about this and even referencing this video.
It’s only at Walmart. In store. In sporting goods/camping section. I haven’t found it online yet.
@@DareDog. Thanks I will try to run out to a local walmart and check this afternoon
@@DareDog. they do exist! Found it in store
I just use my Camp Chef camping stove with Lodge cast iron griddle.
Aluminum and PFAS no thank you. Go to seasoned steel, and you have an amazing product and a new customer.
I can’t find it online. Not sure why say available now when there is no link ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Had to make a late night run to walmart and seen workers stocking the selves with this awesome grill. Definitely replacing my coleman this year.
Wow!!!
NO NO NO NO NO on the non-stick surfaces. C’mon, Blackstone. Do you care about your customers or do you prey on their ignorance just to make a buck?
Who's brilliant idea was it to use a coated aluminum griddle over at @blackstone ? There is no way people are going to buy this. The concept is good but the aluminum is a deal killer. Hopefully, @blackstone comes with a steel version.
How do you replace handle I did receive replacement but no instructions? Thank you
Opening out reading the comments, I wasn’t initially turned off by aluminum, but I’m not switching back to plastic utensils
Make the griddle steel and I'm in but aluminum?? Nah.
I actually seen these in the camping isle today at Walmart while I was perusing when they were doing my oil change.
They had me until they said aluminum griddle! What a hunk of💩!
Blackstone = Walmart garbage
Just bought their regular 22" portable griddle and love it. I almost regretted not finding this one first but the non stick surface on these ruin them for me, otherwise I would have preferred these even more portable ones.
Please, please, please tell me the feet on the bottom are height adjustable? Being able to adjust the corners to keep it flat is a constant challenge when setting up off-grid.
Yes, the feet are height adjustable!
