I would love to do that as the coating started coming off after about 20 cooks. I babied it and only used silicone utensils. I was thinking about sandblasting the top.
I ended up getting a Camp Chef Everest 2X and their griddle top. Not as big as this but I can use pots and my cast iron skillets too. Great for camping.
Hi Tom. Just have a question irrelevant to the video but wanted to ask if onlyfire or anyother brand makes rotisserie pizza ring kit for sns kettle grill.
Once again, spot on review Tom. Most people associate portable with a smaller, compact unit. However, weight is a factor too. Blackstone got "portable" right with this griddle and they also did a nice job with shielding those burners from the wind.
Nice example of thoughtful industrial design. I really like how even the heat distribution on the cooking surface is. Instead of calling it a suitcase design, I would be tempted to call it a briefcase model.
I had one but returned it. Build quality was seriously lacking.paint peeling, feet screwed in wobbly, grill was a pain to remove and the mechanism seemed weak, lid hinge that kept it open was poorly made. Ignition worked sporadically . The last straw was the handle breaking when I was lifting it up.
Wow! Thanks for watching Frank! I haven’t had any of those issues, as I stated in the video removing the griddle and replacing it does take some practice but once one understands how it works, it’s pretty easy. The rest of your concerns I haven’t noticed, but time will tell
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ I’m still annoyed that I had to return it and I left out the good points of this grill. It cooks great. For the size and price there are not too many portable cooking systems that can push the amount of food you can cook on the camping Blackstone. If they get the kinks worked out on a second gen version I will buy it again.
Tom, I am not familiar with a titanium coated flat top. You made no reference to seasoning so I assume this design does not require it to be seasoned. Is this correct?
Great review Tom ! Can’t wait to try it.
Thanks for Watching! Works very well!
I think I’ll give this a try but swap out the burner for an actual cast iron unit. Thanks for the video. 😊
Thanks for watching!

Tom....is the Aluminum Griddle Plate available as a replacement part? I could use one of those. 👍🤘 Metal On! \🔥/
Thanks for Watching Ken! You can check online,, I’m not sure

Can't wait to get one of these. I love griddle cooking and the portability of this griddle will allow me to griddle more. Thanks for the review.

I have the 17 inch single burner Blackstone. They sell an adapter hose to connect it to a 20# propane bottle.
Thanks for watching Russell! Good to know
The same adapter will fit this grill. I have the 17” also, new one just came today and the same adapter threads right on.
