I earnestly hope for Kylaq to have a VW twin, if at all possible even though Ashish Gupta on Evo India himself denied about a sub-4 meter SUV from VW to ever materialise. Kylaq here seems a very promising car though but I would still want a mini Taigun from VW.
The VW group should only work towards building confidence about the brand/s. Everything else will follow if people start buying these cars. If they don't, it'll hardly matter how many products they have between VW & Skoda. They'll all rot in their yards.
Skoda’s are always brilliant, superb, safe, built well and have great driving dynamics and i can vouch for it as own Skoda Monte Carlo 1.5 MT. I own Maruti, Hyundai and Ford but Skoda driving is far superior then them ❤❤❤❤❤

well why it is giving me vibe that we can a polo soon too 😇 and those wheels are looking great but I guess they are not the ones for launch car. I think this is giving a vibe that will rock the segment
Not many people are going to buy it, the 1.0 TSI AT gives really less milage in big cities like Bengaluru, Pune, etc. and it seems pretty small for people from tier-2, 3 cities as they need cars with more carrying capacity, etc. The 1.5 NAs are better and are long lasting and plus the service cost or rather cost of parts, cz they have managed to bring the service costs down now but still there is more to be done here.
Well I feel it will actually be the opposite. Sensible and mature buyers who prioritise Safety and driving dynamics over everything else will definitely go for this. The 1.0 tsi + AT combination is loved by many including some in my friend circle as well. It's doing pretty well in 4.2 m SUV as well as 4.5 m sedan. Use the same combination in a sub 4 m car and you can only imagine what it's capable of achieving. Besides, smaller car -> lesser kerb weight -> better mileage if driven responsibly. And someone who mostly drives within city, sub 4 m car is anyday better in terms of practicality

In my last 30000kms of driving since the cars have been on sale I've literally seen only 1 virtus being driven well. And the real ones are driving whatever they can get their hands on. Plus sub 4 meter SUV is stupider for the city compared to a nice hatchback. You want real city performance, the k12c 90hp wagonR with similar power to weight ratio of this kylaq would be better.
Don't get me wrong the 1.0TSI is great and so would be the baseline MQBA01N safety. But Indian crashes are so chaotic and no one wears seat belts so again, good on paper sure, real life translation is poor. Congested cities need hatchbacks. Like the k10. All these fake SUVs are a dick measuring game and the sub 4m ones are wrongly adjusted abominations that are a product of sad old norms that don't translate to the true intent behind the norms.
