Yeah, I completely agree. I was an athlete and used KT tape. Tore my meniscus and now I still use KT just for everyday stuff to go to work and things. It help with the pain and makes me improve faster in my physical therapy. KT tape really has TONS of practical, everyday uses.

I am really shocked at how well this is working! After getting out of our truck or car I was getting to the point of not being able to place my weight on my right leg because of the pain in my knee. After applying tape I was surprised like I said at how fast that pain went away! Thank you for the video and hope other people have the same result!

KT tape is a miracle worker on all kinds of injuries. It takes about 2 to 3 full days of having the tape on the knee, in order to notice a difference in your pain level. I fell and couldn't move my knee and it was quite painful. The tape really helps and of course some meds.

I had my ACL surgery couple of months ago. I tried many ways of KT taping and this was the one that worked best for me. I actually feel it helps with my knee mobilization, supports my knee and supports my hamstring (somehow). I'm much less hesitant when I have the tape on as shown. Thank you!!!

Recently diagnosed with EDS and this stuff is hailed from every corner. More expensive than the generic stuff but a ton of folks refuse to use anything else. When your joints semi or fully dislocate several times a day, $25 for this tape is absolutely worth it to be able to walk.

  • @KTTapevideos

This application is named "Full Knee Support" because it will provide you with support for the entire knee, like a knee brace but without the bulky brace. As far as anchors I'm not sure what you mean, but we do anchor the tape by not stretching the last inch on each end. By not stretching the tape that provides solid anchor points for the tape.

I started using this application of KT tape a few weeks ago. It has helped tremendously with my knee pain. My knee pain is due to ACL surgery, the patella graft, and other joint issues.
The pain has decreased a lot after playing tennis. I feel it provides good support. I keep it for about 3 days. Thank you

  • @lymez79
    @lymez79 7 лет назад +4

I was having a lot of knee pain due to bad tracking partially...who knows what else was going on. The doc blew me off since there was no obvious structural damage. I'd tried so many braces and being heavier they don't stay in place plus they irritate my skin. I came across KT tape and decided to give it a try. So glad I did! I had some relief within a day and after about 2-3weeks of wearing for a few days then a day off my knee pain was almost completely gone.
Some tips from an average user - get the synthetic over the cotton version. It holds up better especially under clothing. Don't touch the adhesive or pull it back up. It won't hold. Make sure to rub well and carefully so there are no loose areas that will catch on clothes. If you have a spot catching you can patch it with a small piece applied with no stretch.
I was able to wear the knee application under jeans for several days and through showers. So if you apply it right it holds.

    Great!
Taped it for basic general skating Thursday night, worked well. Left it on until Saturday lunch time. This included work on Friday, hockey straining Friday night and Saturday morning.
Not only did it stay on pretty well, the support was constant throughout the 3 days... For sport and work I won't be using anything else unless physio wants something more solid.
But overall really happy and knee felt amazing!!
    Thank-you!!

It doesn't require hair removal, but it's certainly going to stick better and hurt less when you take it off if you do trim it. If you don't want to trim the hair you'll want to apply some good pressure to press the adhesive through the hair and to the skin.

I am from Bosnia and Herzegovina and I will share my experience with you. There is a simple trick you can use to treat the painful and spent in joints. I suffered from pain and socializing in my left knee that I injured as a teenager. CABBAGE. Cold coating of hard parts of cabbage. Simply beat the white parts of the cabbage leaves, put them in the freezer for 15 minutes. Before going to bed, put it on the sore spot and wrap it with foil and cloths. Our body will speed up the circulation in that place and the circulation heals! Cabbage collagen after multiple treatments will also be helpful. I used cabbage and other collagen-rich plants can be used. People laugh at me for these claims but it has revived after less than a month of treatment. I may be wrong but why not give it a try?😉

This application helped me get through a softball game the other day. I jammed my knee while stopping abruptly catching a fly ball. When running back towards the bench, the pain in my knee was enough to make me wince in pain. I thought I was going to have to drop out of the game. I had some KT tape in my bag because I was nursing a mild ankle sprain.
I taped up my knee exactly like it is described here. Although my knee was pretty sore the next day, I was able to finish the game with little to no discomfort at all. I honestly couldn't believe it.

I love the idea of KT brand tape, the pre-cut strips and videos. I really want to support them, but they need their chemical engineers to work on the adhesive formula and can't keep saying it's user error. Fact is, I used "Rock" tape in exactly the same manner I used KT Tape. KT Brand lasted only ten minutes into my run and can't handle sweat. "Rock Tape" stays on, through hour plus run, then through a shower, plus more workouts. It doesn't come off till I take it off.

  • @KTTapevideos

They don't mean anything. The colors are simply to differentiate in the video between strip 1 and strip 2, etc. The small pieces are just full strips that have been cut in half.

Found this application very useful for my patella - and have used a variety of KT Tape - the Kinesiology Tape is very useful and cheap - the KT Tape Pro (UK.. from Boots etc) is much more in cost and comes with 15 strips of pre cut tape - stretches well and does't loose its strength and lasts for days (with or with out showers)

Have you all changed the adhesive you're using since the tape originally came out? I used KT Tape several times a couple of years ago & it was very effective & helped a lot, no problems at all. Just recently bought some again to help with Frozen Shoulder & immediately I started having an allergic reaction. My skin was itching badly under the tape, then blistering. You could feel them through the tape; I thought it was hives. I removed the tape, thinking I felt hives, but they are actually very itchy blisters, all over my shoulder & my skin looks like I've been burned. It doesn't hurt at all, just SUPER itchy, very red & blistery😔.

Hi Nabiyah, thank you for letting us know. We have not changed the adhesive in the tape. What you describe is a common symptom of what is known as tape burn, which can happen if you over-stretch the tape and/or don't keep an un-stretched anchor of two inches on each end of the tape when applying. It's easy to over-stretch the tape if you're not careful. It could be something else, but most likely this is what happened. If you'd like to connect with our expert support team directly to discuss further, you can reach them at: support@kttape.com. Thanks!

    Hey Chris-
I'm a massage therapist and one of my patients has no cartilage left in either of his knees and his legs are starting to bow. Any taping suggestions to compensate for the bowing of his legs?
Also, what's the reasoning behind putting two I-strips directly on top of each other? Added support?

    Thanks for the vid!!

Try putting a little less tension on the tape. Generally the reaction comes from over stretching the tape. If that doesn't work let us know and we'll take a closer look.

I used this for a couple of sprained ligaments and it was great. Will this help with meniscus issues as well?

Hi, thank you for the videos, but I have been looking for the best taping method for patella tendonitis top and bottom of my knee. This seems to be the best video and instruction I can find. I'm a college athlete. I powerlifting and play softball. Pitching and running really irritates my knee. I did have lateral meniscus repair, but we ruled out re-injury, and it is completely healed. Now I'm just having trouble with my patellar tendon and my quad. I

Does this help with knee dislocations? I have them often and I can’t find my actual brace and I was wondering if this would help it stay in place and it would be convenient having it under my clothes so no one can see it
