Yeah, I dumped the series on season four two times because I just couldn't grasp why Elena was whining so much about being a vampire and cried in Stefan's arms about it and then she got mad at Stefan because he wanted to help her become human again. Like girl, what the hell
How Delena got together is honestly a joke. They literally ruined Elena’s and Damon’s character by doing what they did in S4. The only people Elena has killed were because of Damon (minus Alaric - that was not out of malicious intent). And the only reason why Elena chose Damon at the end was because it was the safer choice. Her affair with Damon was easier to get behind than trying to rekindle the relationship she had with Stefan. Because vampire Elena is disgusting, raveling in Stefan’s face how happy she is with Damon. She lost all her morals and inner fire once she became sired to Damon. It’s honestly so tragic how they murdered Elena’s character and make it seem like she changed Damon for the better. Because Elena never did so. She repeatedly made excuses for him. Yes, she was supportive, but supportive in the wrong things.

Exactly, the whole Delena relationship is Damon being abusive (specially when it comes to disregarding her wishes and opinions) and Elena being okay with it.

Gosh, even I believed it the first time I watched the show (which was only last year). But maturing is realising how wrong this is. Yeah, just because you have great sex doesn’t make it right or healthy in anyway.
Then everyone blames Stefan saying he is trying to fix her....ugh some toxic fans are always biased about Delena and will go to any point to low stefan

also them making elena say: “you’re so cheery [to stefan]” like, the amount of plot holes season 4 has, just to bring damon and elena together is embarrassing
It's funny how the writers shifted the plot , stelena were completely in love and it was too strong, they did so much for the existence of delena, the sire bond, elena changing after being a vampire, elena feeling Stefan doesn't like her anymore (lol Stefan loved her throughout the entire show) Conclusion: Stelena is epic no matter what.
While watching the scene from 4x10, I often missed it because I was so freaking infuriated, but it really seems like Elena doesn't want to say those words and that they are forced out of her mouth because of the sirebond. She sounds almost robotic and it's like she herself isn't present in that moment, and it's not just because Rebekah is compelling her. The horrified look she gives Stefan after speaking her truth, isn't just "Oh shit, I only realized my feelings now and I feel guilty for hurting you"-type. If it was, she wouldn't have acted the way she did afterwards, when they talked and Stefan left. It's more like: "I'm so sorry, I don't understand what's happening. I don't know why I said that, I didn't want to. This isn't me and now I've hurt you."
The more I rewatch TVD, the more I realize how epically the writers screwed up by making Delena endgame. It didn't only ruin their characters, but also the developments of some other characters and ships. Thank you so much for making this video.
I hate what they did to Elena's character
in that compelling scene you can TELL that they made elena say the shittiest lies to make the story progress towards delena and that wasn’t HER. because elena, vampire or human would never say that. i like her as both but human elena ironically, definitely had more of a fire to her. a moral, fierce fire
Stefan is so much better for Elena and I love Stelena because they’re endgame

like, elena’s personal moral compass NEVER changed. because julie plec didn’t actually want to change elena’s character herself. but everything bad that happened in season 4 on elena’s head was all damon’s fault because he’s literally the worst person to have as a sire and he took advantage of his position *AS* a sire

I had my issues with Stefan that season but he did NOT treat her like a broken toy.

@@chloebrown4666 trueee but at the same time, i feel like the producers try too hard to get us to FEEL something in the their scenes, like they’re so in my face with the snazzy angles, half naked shots and amazing musical soundtracks. you don’t rlly need all that when you have a ship that’s got good, organic chemistry, especially with a tv show like tvd that barely stylises or edits their shots overtly so
Her character get ruined when she started dating Damon salvatore, should have ending up with Stefan instead his is the better choice.

STEFAN HAS MY WHOLE HEART THAT MAN WOULD LITERALLY DO ANYTHING FOR THIS One GIRL AND SHE CHOSE WRONG SHE DID SHE DID. HE is SO SUPPORTIVE LOVING CARING EVERY SINGLE QUALITY of goodness WOMEN want IN A MAN THIS IS HE. He is the definition of what a good man is. He always made sure she doesn’t feel alone because I mean she lost everyone and he was always their for her. Anyone involved in breaking them up literally ruined the best love story that could’ve been.
For its like a mirror of real life where a girl meets 2 guys. One is husband material:strong, with moral principles, with respect of his partner and with wise seeing of life and understanding of reality. The second one is a kid, who doesnt care abt things around, he never respects and always cares abt himself. A strong man needs a strong woman around, was Elena ready to be like this all this time? Obviously being with A guy Who doesnt need a lot is easier.

Looking back Damon accepted her as a vampire b/c he knew she’ll no longer have the same morals as before + his chances to be with her were much higher… whereas Stefan wanted her to live her life as a human & not have her go through the ugliness of being a vampire. Writers are wackkk asf for twisting Stefan’s care for her into him treating her like a toy. But anything to make the worst ship happen. 🤪🙄

The fandom at that time was more delena shippers so show as a fanservice messed them up same with Tyler and Caroline
It was such a Fan service I watched this show when it came out in 2009 and I was never team Damon it was always Stefan.

the reason that they sent damon to teach elena how to feed is because of stefans ripper side but damon is worse has no control and thats why elena lost control.. stefan would've been able to handle it better and actually help elena

How is Damon trying to get Elena drinking human blood not right though? Drink, compel and heal is literally the way of being a vampire, you fight it, you become miserable….
I think everyone knows that but it’s trying to say that Damon relished in elenas downfalls like loosing control and he let her, that’d the point there trying to make
The point is, Damon actively tries to make her lose control and happily lets her, fully knowing that she will feel terrible afterwards because Elena doesn’t want to be like that. It’s like telling an addict who’s trying to sweat it out to start doing drugs again. You’re not doing them a favour, you’re just playing with them and their feelings. Which is what Damon does all the time. “You fight it, you become miserable” that’s highly debatable. Caroline doesn’t feed on people and feels perfectly fine, surely Elena could do that too.
