As a conservative, I really appreciate CNN conducting this interview about the media. It shows me that CNN does care about these ‘fake news’ accusations and that they might try to be more unbiased in the future. Thank you! And Ben Shapiro is awesome!

You can't look at news as useful information anymore. It's not fake news . It's just not news at all. Journalism no longer exists. It's just questionable facts interpreted, for the viewer, to fit a certain agenda. If there are stories that don't fit the agenda, they aren't reported. Shapiro is one of the fairest political commentators out there. He's not afraid to criticize Republicans when they do something he doesn't agree with even though he's a Conservative and he's not afraid to criticize Democrats. You can't find many people who can openly criticize their own party because people are so burdened by bias these days.
+SJkid39 I would agree. I do have some respect for Ben, but I do have some issues with him as well. He tends to come off as self aggrandizing even when he's talking about topics that he openly admits he's not well educated on and I can see how that is really off putting for a lot of people. Nobody likes a know it all especially when they don't know it all. He definitely knows a lot about many subjects, but there are a few I think he should just not address if asked or interviewed about because that's when he gets into trouble, when he admits he's not an expert in that field, then talks like he is an expert, but ends up getting some things wrong. But other than that I think he generally makes some solid rational points.
And this is the beauty of being open minded. One can not fully agree with someone, but still respect them and their opinion. It's really hard for some people to do that especially with politics today. But like you said, that just goes to show you societies movement towards radicalism on both sides when a moderate Conservative gets attacked by extremists from both sides.

Articulate, answering the questions, completely defeating the opposing arguments without attacking the person asking them, being civil, bringing in humor that communicates that the interviewer is not his enemy, and all while calm and composed, then even smiling at the end and appearing charming while doing it. This was a great segment of how interviews should be done. Both people with conflicting views but yet It was still calm and collective . No interruptions, no outbursts questioning or counter defending every statement. One person states this, the other states that, then the viewer observes and decides what they think of the facts , theories , and all information presented in front of them.

I appreciate this interviewer on CNN. He did what any host should do (this goes for Fox and all the left-wing cites as well) and simply asked questions and let his guest, who is on to give a different view, answer the questions instead of just arguing with the guest to try and prove a point. Likewise none of the questions felt leading or designed to do a “gotcha.” CNN should keep this guy, he’s the most respectful and honest host I’ve seen from them. Very refreshing.
