How Our Kids Saved Us... We Almost Separated.

  • We're sharing this personal #Marriage story in hopes that it helps others in a similar situation feel understood and not alone. I will repeat, we stood together for EACH OTHER not our children, but... our children did widen our eyes open and helped us see the value in fighting to stay together VS fighting to separate just because separating is easier to do. Please NEVER ASSUME having children will save your relationship because it doesn't work that way! But us already being parents and married has helped our mentality switch from what the world promotes as "happiness" from a single's perspective as separate individuals ⇢to a marriage perspective from a GOD brain, and what truly matters in our future as a family, as Husband and Wife who vowed to become one and stay united forever.
    1 Corinthians 13:13: "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."
    1 Corinthians 16:14: "Do everything in love."

    I see my daughters behavior changing so much due to major increases in screen time and indoor time. It sucks because this is a result of me getting a new job (and the opposite of how we lived before) This was not my preferred lifestyle, but this is the season we’re in. These things truly have big affects on our children.

    This is real. We all start out naive about life and love. And then life teaches us what love truly is. The dating years are usually carefree with little responsibility towards each other. Once marriage and especially kids come along, we are tested as individuals and in marriage. It’s hard, really hard. But the trials and tribulations are worth it in the end, because wether the relationship continues or not these experiences make us better people for our selves and our children.

    I'm a stay at home mom and I hate it. It was an option my husband presented and I took that leap of faith he would care for us. I sacrificed my financial independence and career. Financial shifts changes romantic relationships. Our child has come to see that he is abusive. Now that I dream of getting a divorced the financial hurdle is insurmountable. Another child created additional demands and the family made an adjustment. I recommend that no one give up their financial independence.

      Well, not all men are abusive. There were probably red flags.

    • @_Solmega
      @_Solmega Год назад +8

      I'm sorry you're going through this! Thank you for sharing your story. I know it doesn't make it any better, but even when the man isn't abusive, giving up financial independence is often precarious. Thank you for the transparency.
      I know everyone's situations are different, but if possible, I urge all men and women to never forget that we are multidimensional beings that are ever evolving. The choice between "work" or "family" is too black and white for the colorful lives God has given us. Speaking from a place of compassion and experience. My mother was such an amazing mother and wife, I will never take that for granted! But as her daughter, I wish I saw her pursue her dreams more. Maybe watch her win an award or take a spa day with friends. Have her own identity and self care outside of doing her hair/skincare etc. I'm an adult now and don't have those things to mirror.

    • @Noah-yz7yx
      @Noah-yz7yx 3 месяца назад

      @@candyluna2929 Maybe there were, maybe there weren't. There's people who change (or show their true colors) later in the relationship. Besides, there's other things that can also happen: the working partner ends up unemployed, gets sick, dies etc. So I do believe that it is important to **at least** maintain some sort of activity that you could put on your cv, but ideally keep working, even if it is in a part time job. My mom gave up on her studies/job to take care of us, and it was really sad to see her struggling for years to find a job. Thankfully she has been working for more than a year now and I'm so so proud of her🤧

    I'm a stay at home mom and traditional wife. When my husband and I were just dating before we were married and had a baby, I feel that he didn't really love or appreciate me the way he does now that I am his wife and mother of his child. He used to go out a lot and had friends and family who would encourage him to go out to bars and stuff like that. But now he is so protective of our daughter and me and he does not go out or leave us. We are a very happy family. We also moved from NYC to Florida and live a very traditional life. What a difference from our friends and family in nyc. I feel bad for them but not everyone can pick up and leave. This life works for us and we are so much happier living this traditional way.

That’s so beautiful and a feeling only a parent would know. Jesus Christ put that unconditional, self sacrificing feeling within parents so that just maybe, we can have a small glimpse of how He must have felt, what HIS sacrifice was about when He died on the cross so that we wouldn’t have to by grace through faith in Him alone. You both have done everything you can to protect and help your family grow and I admire your humbleness and openness with your audience. Your story is unique and amazing, I hope you two continue growing and having each other’s backs.

    Longtime subby. I always wondered what made you make the change because you did it before ANYBODY. I can honestly say you were one of the first (if not THE first) I seen make that change. It’s so beautiful to me that you were willing to do that for your family. A true mama bear! It’s admirable and I’m so glad to see you guys work it out. Love wins!!

    Man, i’ve always admired manny, I like that he’s honestly, he’s gentle and he wears his heart on his sleeves. But he’s a family man and we need more of his kind these days. Alba is pure strength, she’s an OG, fearless queen. I thank God he gave you both the will power and strength to control and tame something you both had no awareness of, during that process, he sent a beautiful shining light that would keep you guys together as a family ( baby Alma). Your boy is in good hands, he will tell his story soon, he will share it with the world at his press conferences. He’s going to be something great.
    Keep your head up guys, we are all going though something, some of us are going though mote things than others, but we are fighting the good fight as we embarked and disembarked on our individual journeys in life. Stay strong and never give up. ❤️😇.

May God always Bless Your beautiful family and your marriage! 🙏🏽

    I literally had tears coming down my face as I watched this video. My family’s struggles have been different than yours, but our children have taught us to be more selfless, serving, and loving which in turn, strengthened our marriage as well. Lastly, as a working mother who prides herself in her work, I greatly appreciate the last comment you made about becoming a “traditional mother” because I’m also learning to slow down and re-prioritize my life. I admire your strength, Alba, and ALL the sacrifices you’ve each made for your children. It’s so beautiful and inspiring! May God continue to bless and build your relationship! ♥️♥️♥️

    This was an amazing video. Alba I started watching you in 2012 or 2013 and I was a new mom at the time and I looked to u for inspiration. I found you bc of makeup and saw that you were a mom and I was even more intrigued bc at the time I was suffering from postpartum depression and didn’t know how to put myself together. After giving birth I lost a piece of myself. Thank you guys for your transparency and showing that relationship goals is not wearing matching outfits and posting on social media but having a happy, and healthy relationship/family was the goal.

    🥰🥰 I just love y’all! I believe you are 💯 correct when it comes to family and work life. I think the role of homemaker/wife is not respected enough and so many of our problems come from that. But I’m glad you chose your family over everything! That’s most important. May God continue to bless y’all. 🌟💙

    wow wow wow!! This has truly blessed me!! I had to stop at the 20min mark write this comment and subscribe. "I know the idea is out there that yes you can do it all" I personally believe that is why women are having so many "mental health" issues. As women we are burning ourselves out trying to keep up with unrealistic expectations set up by our society.

    Wow i’m stuck on the part that doctors would use generalizations like he “might not” and “he probably won’t”. 🤦🏽‍♀️ not to be dramatic but I’m a new mom to a 4 month old I would be terrified if her doctor told me such things. That’s basically saying prepare for the worse.

    • @brandip2446
      @brandip2446 2 года назад +3

      I think that is how Dr's are supposed to be ... because if you prepare for the worse then if it doesn't happen you prepared for the worse but it is easier to adapt to it not happening, then if they twll you not to worry and then the worst happens and you would blame the dr for not preparing you sooner that this could happen ect
      If that makes sense :(

      I think prepare for the worse but with no offer of treatment solutions is soul destroying. This happened to good friends of ours with a baby with anaphylactoc allergies. They had to find a Dietitian and Nutritionist, on their own, for guidance and assistance.

    Did your son start having developmental issues after a vaccine?
    I was vaccine injured at 4 years old. Thankfully I came out of it and was able to overcome what had initially happened to me.
    Autism has skyrocketed since the implementation of vaccines in children. Also 98% of all SIDS cases a child has received a vaccine 72 hours prior to death.
    Its definitely sad that they have pushed people to give injections to their children through fear of "doing what's best for your child"
    But God didn't make a mistake. Children dont need vaccines.
