Thank you for sharing this, He definitely was a people person, that came across. I read an article from 1977 by a local during the filming of this movie,
David was hospitalised for pneumonia and filming was held up until while he recovered. Poor man. RIP David Soul
Oh poor David 😢 It probably isn’t surprising. He was working incredibly hard. Having a number 1 single in between filming Starsky and Hutch. Incredible achievement 👏👏
Yes some friend had sent me in the '80 an audio cassette with the phone call of David while at the hospital because of pneumonia. He was calling the radio or TV to speak about why he was at the hospital. Still have the cassette.

@@patriciacatta6206En effet pendant le film il a attrapé une pneumonie et le cas était assez grave à tel point que Paul est venu lui rendre visite. J'ai vu passer sur YT une interview par téléphone il y a quelques temps, lors d'une remise de prix, seulement audio et il répondait depuis l'hôpital.

That Night i had a phone call
To say
To meet the coach at 6am in the Morning
We arrived on Dartmoor at early hours
First was all the paper work and costume fitting
🤣we were to be in the audiance and at the fun fair scenes it was fun
Then first morning
We had the traditional silver service welcome lunch
In the Hotel ❤
David Soul spoke to us all
Next day the real filming began so catering was provided by Rank films out side catering
I remember watching the mud fight scene and the tallent Spotters watching us
I do recal they did call out a few of the Extras who stood out they were offered extra work by the talent Spotters

Nice looking guy. I remember his "Starsky & Hutch" series. I also remember hearing his "Don't Give Up On Us Baby" song hitting number one on the charts. He always had a nice, calming voice. Also rememberable was his acting in "Salem's Lot". That was a huge TV production when "regular" TV was big. I didn't like him in "Magnum Force" because he played the villain, lol.
I like him in everything he did 🥰
