@2:35 - My guess is that some of the licensing issues were to blame as well, since Roger Rabbit used cartoons from Disney, Warner Bros., Universal, Fleischer/Paramount and others. Hell, they couldn't even show Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse without putting them together with Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny (respectively) due to their deal with Warner.
Just got a good question about another rabbit named Oswald. Disney was able to get Oswald back from Universal, but how come we don't see Oswald as much besides video games?
Because most Oswald merch are D23 exclusives. They gave him a gas station in Buenavista street in DCA, and I think he also is big in Disney Sea. But I'm glad you brought up Oswald. I was going to until I read your comment. Roger's story parallels Oswald almost perfect. Disney bought Star Wars and Marvel... ...they also bought Winnie The Pooh. So I don't see why Spielberg/Amblin wouldn't want to sell their half. Does Dreamworks own it now, or just Spielberg. He's what? 70? Maybe when he passes on, his estate may be willing to sell it. Disney got Oswald in a trade. Maybe there's something Spielberg wants.
+Robbie Farabee just like with Universal, it doesn't do him any good if he's not going to do anything with it... ...other than holding onto him simply out of spite. Then again, anything he would do, he would still have to seek Disney's permission.
UmmYeahOk If I was CEO of Disney, my #1 thing to do on my bucket list would be to buy back the rights of “Roger Rabbit” to the company and give him a proper comeback by either giving him a spin-off movie or an animated series!
Hey Rob! Would love to see a full video of Typhoon Lagoon/Blizzard Beach/Downtown Disney/miscellaneous areas of the resort! Also do you have access backstage? Would be really cool to see some backstage areas! Thanks and have a great day!
Pop Century is usually just barely higher than the All Stars but I absolutely love that resort and you can walk over to Art of Animation and check it out also.
Hey rob, I have 2 questions this week. 1.) I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in November. Do you have any tips for disney with diabetes? 2.) when we go to disney world in October, we will do magic kingdom on a Thursday, epcot on Friday, and hollywood studios and/or animal kingdom on Saturday. If we do both parks on Saturday, which park should we visit first? And if we can only visit one park on Saturday, which one should we do? We're going with my grandparents and we have been to both parks as recently as 2007. Thanks and have a wonderful day (sorry for the long question)
Jmcw34 Going to answer part 1 on the next video, but in regards to #2 I would say do AK first and then HWS, but if you had to do just one, HWS has more content to do, and is smaller which might lighten the walking for your grandparents.
Hi rob, I have a question for you about the ride that used to be at WDW and still is at DL. No it's not mr toad, it's Snow White's Scary Adventures. It is one of my favorites, what were your thoughts? It's kind of like you and Horizons, but for me it's Snow White. I know it wasn't popular, but it's one of my favorites. I miss it so much.
Hey Rob! Hollywood studios has been receiving a lot of changes recently. Do you think any of other the Disney parks can use one of these renovations? Thanks
Adventurous Productions EPCOT! My entire revisiting disney series was born from a shorter series called Revisiting Epcot, which was all about how I felt that EVERY ride in future world needed some changes and upgrades.I'd love to see them spruce up Epcot.
Hey Rob, I have a question for your next Q & A. There is actually rumor of a fifth park in DisneyWorld. Rumor is that it's going to be about Disney's past (I'm imagining like a comic book thing to be honest) and they're going to bring back many old rides and things like that. I wanted to know what you would think of how they're thinking of bringing back old shows, rides, and forgotten characters. I personally am excited but I wanted to know what you would think. Sorry this is long, but thank you for reading/answering and have a MAGICAL day!
dancing4EvEr72602 Never going to happen. It's a fun rumor, but just a rumor. You have to remember that from a business perspective, all of these old rides that Disney closed were closed because they weren't popular anymore among the general public. So to us it would be a park full of classics we all love, but to the vast majority it would be a park filled with "old boring rides that Disney already got rid of once", which wouldn't be a smart business move on Disney's part.
Hey rob, got a question, What is Eisner wasn't replace by Iger yet, what do you think Eisner would do with more time as the CEO. thanks and have a magical day
Rob whatever happened to What the Hexxit? It was one of my favourite series, will it ever make a comeback? (Obviously this isn't a question for the q&a)
TheWalri I still have the save game and I'm totally open to going back to it. It's just a matter of waiting until I'm hit with the mood to play some MC survival. As it is now I'm kind of pumping the breaks on Minecraft so I'm not burned out on it.
Hey Rob, i have a question for the next Q&A. Our family is a family of five and that makes choices of where to stay WDW very limited we have looked at going in a suite at the Art of Imagination Resort. The problem we are having is the fact it is in the 'value' resorts category and were worried that it will be too far away from the parks. We are also worried that the recreation and amenities wont as good as other resorts we have stayed in. Should we save the £700 and squeeze into Port Orleans again?
It's Always Disney Time I just finished my vacation with my family and we stayed at Art of Animation. We are a family of four and stayed in the Little Mermaid suite, I would suggest something like a Lion King suite because we were a bit cramped and those are larger. It isn't as long of a ride to the parks as people say it is, about 10 minutes or so.
I would bring back body wars! I have a question for you by the way! What would you make re body wars building into? (You can't say I would leave it) Would you take it down? Also what do you think about of Universe Of Energy needs a referb, needs to be taken down?
Xbox Platypus Yup! I think it would be neat! Though I wouldn't want it to be based on Nightmare Before Christmas. I'd want it to be something different.
I’m to believe that he was framed to some degree.
Disney had that long term contact with Nescafe, the worst coffee ever! Finally, good coffee!

For a 5th park, isn't there pretty much the Discovery Cove which is listed as a "Day Resort"
OH MY GOSH! I would LOVE a "si-fi five guys"!
hannahroco Now that I think about it, ME TOO!
One Ride I would like to see come back is a Disneyland ride called the Maliboomer It use to be in California Adventure
goofytrevor the thing with that was that rides like Maliboomer are available around the world. They removed that ride because of that fact.

I think that Spielberg himself owns Roger. I'm not quite sure what is going to do with him though. He hasn't been used ever again since trail mix up.
+Robbie Farabee just like with Universal, it doesn't do him any good if he's not going to do anything with it... ...other than holding onto him simply out of spite. Then again, anything he would do, he would still have to seek Disney's permission.

Sci fi Five Guys!
I've always wondered this. I've also said since I was a kid that they needed more Lion King attractions beyond stage shows.
Pop Century is usually just barely higher than the All Stars but I absolutely love that resort and you can walk over to Art of Animation and check it out also.

I wanted a sequel and he was not murdered by o.j. Simpson

I would bring back The Hollywood Tower of Terror, because I haven't been there yet.

Also a question: if you had a choice to stay at the Contemporary or the Animal Kingdom Lodge, which would you stay at and why?
Brice Bokesch Contemporary! It's my favorite resort of all time!
Tower of Terror or Malestrom
Do u think they should put a Krispy Kreme in the parks?
THEY REMOVED THE SORCERER'S HAT?!
My mother LOVES Disney coffee
If you could make any kind of lego game what would it be? Thanks and have a magical day
Revisit the little mermaid! I like it, but I feel like it's been there for a while! I know they are closing it, but what's your take on it?
Which Little Mermaid, the ride or the show?
I would bring back body wars! I have a question for you by the way! What would you make re body wars building into? (You can't say I would leave it) Would you take it down? Also what do you think about of Universe Of Energy needs a referb, needs to be taken down?
Hey rob I wanna know do you think that there should be a haunted mansion holidays at Magic kingdom like in disneyland? Thanks have a magical day.
Xbox Platypus Yup! I think it would be neat! Though I wouldn't want it to be based on Nightmare Before Christmas. I'd want it to be something different.
Rob what are your thoughts on the name change of cinderella castle to a frozen name k called elsas ice palace?
I'm more upset about their announcement that Star Was is delayed until next May! >:(
PatriotBlob PlaysMC you mean changing the actual centerpiece castle? I would legitimately be upset with that.
Since Disney owns ABC, how about a ride, diner and gift shop based on Schoolhouse Rock?
I have a question.
Do you know what episode Lou Mongello says thank you to Rob Plays That Game?
Hint: (That's probably not his last name.)
Wait... what? He thanked me?
Episode 400 14:43:30
