I was pointing this out to a friend not too long ago. Every pseudo-Christian belief retains just enough little nuggets of truth to lead you to Christ if you're looking hard enough. They change the Bible or produce their own "scriptures" but the Gospel shines through their attempts to obscure it. It's pretty incredible, really.
That's how many reach Catholicism. Even with Protestant heresy mixed in, the light of Christs church bring them in.
Certainly then you don’t believe the creeds from apostate bishops who obscure the likeness and image of God from humanity by closing the canon of scripture and enforcing their own interpretations.

My favorite and succint argument on this is if the Quran is true, the Bible is true, and if the Bible is true, the Quran cannot be true.
You can say that but that statement phrased that way would be the fallacy of affirming the consequent.

@muratkurnaz4101 because the Quran never argued the Bible is corrupt, but it does argue G-ds word is eternal. That means the Bible can’t be corrupted. The Quran says the Bible is true, which means the Quran can’t be true. Mohammed obviously didn’t what was in the Bible.

About the eternity of God's words, He can let people to preserve it instead of not letting them to corrupt it 😄 His words are still eternal, just we were ignorant of them after corruption done by mankind.

The standard for being a false prophet is to deliver even a single prophesy that is false, or in the name of a god other than יהוה (Yahweh, or however you prefer to pronounce the Tetragrammaton).

This is what I’ve been saying ever since I started studying Islam. The Quran should’ve never named the previous scriptures or pointed towards Jesus.
It talks too much and ends up revealing its own scam.
It was to the Quran’s advantage back when information about the Quran was more controlled.
The inclusion of those verses also adds validity to the Quran for people who don’t really understand theology.

And if you read the Quran in its own language ie Arabic with context and proper scholary interpretation you will understand why tens of thousands of trained christian priests and scholars have reverted to islam.

I’ve never paid much attention to the Quran, but these videos make me think that it not only has purely human origins, but that it also has the quality of “made in China.”

Honestly I was thinking about this the other day when I reflected on the verses about Jesus being
“the word of Allah sent down to Mary and a spirit from him”
I imagine the demon that spoke to Muhammad all excited to spew lies about Jesus and suddenly convulsing violently, only to then say that Jesus is in fact the word of Allah and a spirit from him. As if there was a battle in the heavenly realms to sow seed to disrupt the Islamic claim to monotheism.
Could be, but I think the whole thing is satanic. satan loves to cause confusion and can never resist the opportunity to mock God's crowning creation (humans). It's like he says in the quran "look at these crazy Christians, how dare they say God has a Son," but then also adds statements affirming Jesus' divinity just to confuse and mock muslims for buying its BS.

Islam says that Jesus is the messiah in the quran ... but this is totally misleading ... the quran only quotes the NAME of Jesus, but says nothing about the LIFE of Jesus, his story, his deeds, his words, his suffering.
For christians Jesus is an example to follow, a model ... while muslims only follow Muhammad example (so-called the best of men) ... and they are totally opposite models of behaviour.
Jesus is love and tolerance, while Muhammad is hate, violence and intolerance ... this makes a huge difference.
So when muslims say they revere Jesus, this is false, they revere only Muhammad.

With regards to the Quran's affirmation of the Torah and Gospel, perhaps it's helpful to view Islam as being not that different from Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, Christian Scientists and Seventh Day Adventists in its beginning phases. What early Islam and all these Christian heretical sects have in common is that they supplement the Bible with the teachings of their founders or by trying to unrecognizably translate the Bible in addition with the core writings of their founders.
This means that early Islam would have been more recognizably indebted to Christianity. The Pre-Islamic Middle East was likewise littered with Christian heresies ranging from Arianism to Docetism and Donatism. Docetist teachings almost certainly influenced the Quranic view on the crucifixion and it has also been accepted that Donatism was absorbed into the Kharijite movement. Islam essentially acted as the chief heresy to suck up all other heresies.
But as you said, David, Muhammad's blunders make it easier for sincere Christians to separate the wheat from the chaff. I can imagine it would have been harder for earlier sincere Christians to not be deceived by more sophisticated, cunning and believable heresies like Arianism.
One of my favorite Quran verses is that one about humanity's greed. It's something like "If Adam had a valley of gold, he would long for a second." or "If Adam had two valleys of gold, he would long for a third." or "Adam wouldn't be satisfied if he did have a valley of gold".
I don't really know the exact verse because it's missing from the Quran and the hadithes, which specifically recall it as one of the few verses still kinda remembered from a surah that people mostly forget, don't quite agree on what it says.

So the Quran calling Allah "We" is absurd, it should be "I", but that is not often used. (He also calls Himself a "He" if the Quran is really His speech, which means the Quran as Allah's literal words must be a polemical line. But we should know that anyway because of the many errors and contradictions.)

Part of the Quran was taken literally from the arabic gospel, when christianity was still not properly organized. Plus, the initial intention of muhammad was to become the second coming of messiah. Only later he changed his mind and created Islam. The idea of messiah by the jews was what gave the idea for muhammad to create a new religion.
