Life update - almost 31 now, boyfriend is now my husband and 'The Ocean' was our first dance song at our wedding last year :-) things haven't been easy as I have MS but we face our struggles together. The song and video speaks volumes about the heartbreak of seeking the perfect precious partner, finding but then maybe losing, or seeking and keeping for your lifetime, the eventuality of finding the one person in your life that matters and smiling to the end. Listening with eyes closed? Lyrically, emotionally and accompanying heart lifting and outstanding melody are all amazing. I’m growing very fond of Richard’s catalogue. I write songs myself and am 63 so have a historical slant and experience of life’s ‘throw at yous’ to my lyrics. But..... I still can only imagine (because you are your own worst critic) that when you are a musician/songwriter and sitting down, strumming chords and expressing, in words, your own life’s experiences of hoped for connections with others to create the perfect song that it becomes a synergy of understanding. And when, as Richard does, you read that your contributions are making people feel genuinely uplifted......what a feeling you must get! So....Thank you Richard. I’ve found an amazing song bank of beautiful songs.

I like Richard Hawley and have been thinking about why his music is not reaching a wider audience. After some thought, I got it...the world is full of idiots with no taste in music, no patience for a good song and Hawley is just too good for this damned X-Factor plagued pop world where real talent loses out to a younger pretty face.
Hawley's music only appeals to people like him, people with beautiful taste in music!!!! ..and not to many left in this fading world of crappy tunes!!!!

The TV programme Ridley introduced me to Richard Hawley and his beautiful, soulful music. So glad I watched Ridley.
