when i am bowling 2 hand i tend to gutter the right side a lot...i play way left and my ball goes about half way down the lane and instead of hooking it just keeps sliding into the gutter, i have a good rev rate, using a house ball bcuz i do not have my own yet...how would i fix this? ii have videos of my swing that looks good and the ball just slides off.
Hey Dausan, the reason for this is because you are using a house ball. The core in a house ball is called a "pancake" which means it won't get hook very much unless the lanes are REALLY dry. My recommendation is to tighten up your angles/play straighter OR slow your ball speed, if you really rip on it and get good revs, but it goes down the lane slower, then it might not slide into the gutter as much. Also, you might consider getting a used ball at a local pro shop and having it drilled for you. My first ball was a twice drilled RotoGrip HyperCell. It doesn't need to look nice to knock down pins 🙂 However, if you email me some videos, we can definitely break them down.
IMO this vid has more clear explanation after hours of searching two handed drills on youtube...sub brother!
