I actually do a very similar version to this and I have thin hair. I use a small roller brush to grab my hair and blow dry it backwards. This will add a substantial amount of volume. Then what want to do is use a clay product, like layrite cement clay for example, and work that with your hands into your hair brushing it backwards. I use a brush after to make sure all my hair is going in the direction I want and although it won't look as luxurious as in this video, it's pretty awesome for thin hair. Hope this helps.
I had the most difficult time explaining to my barber the difference between a taper and an undercut. He kept wanting to do an undercut when I wanted a taper. Super frustrating. Eventually he caught on.
I currently have similar hairstyle and thickness, but it gets greasy quick, head sweats more, so i get pimples from the oiliness. Product also goes fast. With shorter hairstyle I can go longer without washing, less product, less pimples.
What blow dryer do you use? I grew out my sides again, as I get older I want to settle into a more mature look. This taper is great because it can be shaped tight for formal and business with a high gloss pomade with a fine tooth comb. Then, as the video shows, shaped for leisure activities and the Saturday morning coffee shop.
As a guy with thinning hair, it feels like ANY hairstyle is achievable for men with thick hair and most look good. I'd prefer to see a video for men with thinning hairlines, since that's a MUCH bigger challenge.
Nice looking hairstyle!!! My hair is thick and straight my only issue is I have a double cow lick around the back part of my crown… I guess that’s why I keep my hair cut short to this day…
Within a mile of my place, there must be 15-20 "barber shops" But all of them, are terrible! It's so annoying to want to get a good cut (at a sensible price!) and there's so many chancers and amateurs! And then when I did find a great barber, after a fewyears they seem to move on to other places, and you can never find them again! 😂😂
Hey man, curious. Been following your for a very long time now. Was wondering if you're doing anything to prevent possible genetic hair loss (like taking finasteride). Thanks!
Hey thanks! I haven't done anything, but thankfully, it's one problem I don't have to worry about. Both of my parents have full/thick hair, and none of my 3 brothers show any signs of thinning/loss.
Dude word for the wise I don’t know you I am here for the first time looking for videos on hair and you put your sponsor at the front of the video rather show me something at tell me something and then put your sponsor it is like a first impression. Your not gonna do that is we met in person
It's a trade off between viewer retention and ad rates. Sponsor reads at the end of a video are less valuable to ad buyers, viewers click off because they already seen the heart of the content. Yeah having the ad read toward the start of the video will tend to reduce retention, but I expect not enough for it to matter for most channels; I see it done quite often.
@@Artistic_Footballer because no matter where I go there are adverts. How can anyone in their right mind put a advertisement as the first thing you see. And your logic is like saying if a chef spits in your food at lest he made it. Or if I slapped a stranger but at lest I saw them.
@@theoc.8500 Interesting, I appreciate your comment. would you agree it awkward to have an add as the first thing, I mean the video was really good, and for that I would watch his add as even click on the link but to see it first thing before he has even provided a serves
Hey Brock! Your video is a great guide for men who want a low maintenance yet stylish haircut. I appreciate how you explained the process step-by-step and shared your personal experience with the style. It's also helpful that you included advice on what to tell the barber or stylist when getting the cut. Thanks for the tips!👍
THIS SOLVED EVERYTHING 😭 I was struggling so much with doing my hair when it got longer, but doing this saved me bro. My hair isn't quite as long as yours, but it still works perfectly 👌
Only 40% of the hair is side parted while the rest is slicked back, this might solve the problem I have with side part: when it's fully parted, it doesn't look good on me. BTW you didn't explain where you should choose the parting line to be. Anyway, well explained with all the tips (applying product back to front, and using hands to reduce volume). Will definitely try this.
It kind of depends on your head shape. For me, keeping the part line higher up (above the corner) makes the most sense. For some guys, lower down works better.
Who would’ve guessed that pastor Jeff gives great haircut advice
Now do one for guys with thin hair!
check back in 15 years

In a few years you wouldn’t need a hairstyle don’t worry.
Then wa will they need?@@woodysavage8916

A barber should definitely know the difference!

What do I ask my barber to get this haircut though??
man you are a legend, first time watching your videos, already a big fan
I appreciate that!
You keep coming back to this because it works very well for you!
Thanks, Scott!
So this is what my hairstyle is called. Thanks for the video!
I am pretty sure this is the "News Anchor" hairstyle? 😁 Great video nonetheless.

Link in description to a similar blow dryer (it’s a travel size, which I prefer).
Always informative. Thanks for posting this! Keep up the great work :)
Thanks for watching!
My hair type is similar if not the same - massively helpful. Cheers boss.
My envy of your gorgeous thick hair continues. I'd give anything to have hair like yours. Great video as always. 👍👍😍😍😊😊

Didn't know I had a undercut. Good to know.
Sometimes the classics never go out of style.
I suggest you call your channel the timeless fashion man. Love your content. Finally found someone whose 4-6 year old content still consistent!!!!
I appreciate that!
Can you do a video on how to wear stripes (in particular, breton stripes)? I’ve been really enjoying them lately and I wanted to see your perspective!
Thanks for the tip, I’m going to try it, I have lots of hair, thick and I’ve been growing it out but I can’t seem to find a style
Great video and I wish my hair was as thick as yours 👍
awesome video once again, very helpful
Glad to hear it!
How to deal with standing back hair
Brock, how long are your bangs in this video? Hairstyle looks fantastic!
Crew cut pour moi
I like your short textured style the best, but this is a close second.
I’m going back to that style for summer. It’s just so easy!
Hey Brock, do you have an approximate estimate on lengths? For example, 3/4" on the sides and tapered up to 2" on top? Thanks for the awesome video.
You offended me with just two words “thick hair”😂
Nice looking hairstyle!!! My hair is thick and straight my only issue is I have a double cow lick around the back part of my crown… I guess that’s why I keep my hair cut short to this day…
I’ve found growing my hair out eliminates the cow lick problem.
I’m growing my hair out to your long phase and we’ll see if I make it through that awkward phase.
Life saver!!

Does this haircut looks good with clippers or scissors??
Most stylists/barbers will use both, but I prefer mostly scissor cuts (for a more natural / less clean look).

Well only Option for me as a wavy haired guy is to shave bald and wear side parted wigs.
Can i use the wax you used daily. Will it damage my hair if i use it regularly?
Please tell me what the length is on top and sides.
does this haircut suits if i have a little flat back of the head ?
Do you use machine for side parts or only by hand?
I envy guys who's sole existence is to look good and dress well. I wish I could be a modest man myself.
How do you get it so the part line doesn't go all the way?
About how long is your hair on the top, on the sides, and on the back?
How long should I grow my hair out first? Somewhere around 4 inches?
I never hear what are the details for the cut it seems my 10 mins wasted. For some ads and hairtsyling and its brand products
Bro kinda looks like batman from Superman vs Batman
nah he looks like kevin bacon but better
What to tell my barber?
I am Indian i like this haircut ❤
Thick hair guys gonna be alright, talk about balding and receding hairlines 😂
So what do I tell my barber?

Nice video. My hair naturally parts on the right. Is it okay?
how long is your hair in inch?
Exactly what i was looking for..
Btw whats the name of this hairstyle...
Nice! I call it a brushed back tapered side part.
you look good on longer hair
my bald/ing squad where you at ? 😂😂
Waw
Been trying this lately. Love it! Thanks! (:
Any haircut for bald?
Thanks, Brock! Would you recommend this for someone with a prominent widows peak?
As someone with thick hair, I hate volume
damn we have the same exact hair and haircut
What length do you recommend on the sides?
actually SUPPER short looks best on you...would love to see you in a crew cut.
good

Turtle wax
