As a barber with 50 years behind the chair I can tell you that if I do about 30 haircuts a day 20 of them are a fade in some form. Most men are still looking for short haircuts with a minimal amount of care. Although I get men looking for a longer hairstyle it's not that common.
I'm going to cosmetology school, I found that so interesting. Are there any tips, warnings, or advice you would be willing to part with ? I'd be extremely grateful for any response from you, 50 years in a chair is amazing. You must know so much, I would be so lucky.
@@TheNewAgedDiogenesAfterRehab cutting hair is something that is already inside you. If it's not your never going to be great at what you do. These days hairdressers and barbers are a dime a dozen so you need to constantly learn from every way possible. I'm still learning my craft. Being a barber was all I ever wanted. Starting out I cut hair by day and worked as a bartender by night. Never ever give up.
@CarloSikkink yea I got black shoes. I'm going on vacation and there's a casino right near me. I was thinking I'd dress up and go play 100$ worth of blackjack and come back to the hotel
Those were terrible hairstyles you showed tips on and I'm of an older generation, so I don't like men wearing the year with hairbands at all. I think it looks best when the hairstyle is cut short and well combed. What you call slicked-back hair, in Sweden we call these wannabe wanabes. Those who have that hairstyle think they are something, pretend to be rich but are not. They are losers when you pretend to be something you are not.
Great video, when I was a corporate executive there was basically three haircuts that were most common amongst the c-suite and above men, completely shaven, Ivy League, and side part. This was less than six years ago. Even once younger men rose the ranks, they went for longer hair.
For the first time in many many years I’m actually growing out my hair to medium long style. It’s just that awkward middle period that’s always the difficult period
The slick back will always be a great classic choice for men. Some version just seems like it would look great on any man if they have enough hair for it
HEY ANTONIO, IF YOU ARE NOT ANSWERING MY EMAILS PERSONALLY , DONT SEND ME FAKE EMAILS WITH YOUR NAME UNDER. THATS NOT GENUINE. I ASKED 1 QUESTION , GET 100OFFERS MEN😅😅😅
Awesome topic, but i wish i had as much hair as the models. I still have a fullish head of hair, but don't think i can pull any of these off without showing some receding hairlines. Is it possible to get a guide of clasy haircuts for "the ageing gentleman"? 🙏
My hair is long like David Beckham back in his young adult days but....finding it difficult but I can't be bothered with the high maintenance of having short hair but I am fed up with not being able to style my hair and it takes extremely long to dry
How are these hairstyles particularly "old money"? Also, why are there so many videos about trying to look "old money"? What is wrong with somebody having earned their money instead of having inherited it?
It’s not about the money, it’s the lifestyle and mindset. Old money knows this, new money doesn’t. Regarding the popularity of “looking like old money”, I believe it stems from a variety of reasons. However, just remember that the only ones who are concerned with looking like old money are those who wished they had money. And even when someone manages to to dress old money, you can still tell that they aren’t.
"Old money" is just the fashion term for "Responsibly rich". People want to look rich, but they also want to look responsible. So you cosplay as "Old Money". Honestly the video could have just been titled "Classic men's hairstyles" but it wouldn't have gotten nearly as many views.
Antonio- need your help. I do the slick back (including side hair) Problem I am having is, the gels and waxes I have tried make my hair hard and heavy and hot. Is there anything I can spray in it that makes it pliable and gives me medium hold? Regular hairspray makes it way too hard and too wet looking. I’m looking for light feeling medium hold no hardness.
Well, I feel that there is not entry for me in the old money club because I am BALD 👨🦲. Only style I can support is how to reduce blinding reflection from my head 😢. What about is bald guys? We have feelings too

@russellbogrett605 Thank you, sir, I will, and I will cherish the advice given and implement it in my own life, Thank You.
Short styles in my opinion require more effort. Yes, less time to style, but more frequent trips to the chair to stay neat and trim.
@@TheNewAgedDiogenesAfterRehab good luck sir, you got this!
What kind of haircut should I get if my sideburns don't touch 😢
Please make a video on what to wear to a casino
Tuxedo
@@CarloSikkink I don't have one. Will a black suit and white shirt work?
@@govindsharma7738 Yeah sure, you could also add a black bow tie to that and wear black shoes ofcourse.

You can’t fake old money. Wear what it speaks to you be what you are
Earrings are not the old money look.
Or fades, unless of course your old money comes from circa 1935 Germany.
Awesome idea: list the main hairstyles and call them old money
Lol 😄
Need some recommendations for the thin/fine and the follicle challenged. Maybe combined with and without facial hair. Help us out too! Great video!
I love the IVY cut That’s my preferred hairstyle because it’s always classy
Anything that doesn't make you look like a cringy zoomer is a timeless haircut. None of that broccoli hair BS.

If I had a full head of hair, I'd try one of these. Maybe the French crop to start with. Also, THANK YOU for not promoting the man bun.
JELLY, cuz you bald.
I don't really understand the difference between the Ivy League cut and the business man's cut. The business man's is a bit longer?
Give some props to the bald guys. MJ, Bruce Willis, Yul Brenner, Jason Statham, Kelly Slater, Joe Rogan. Me
One thing that screams "not old money" is facial hair. Unless you are a king or something.
Yeah i Wonder why
@@marvin2678 Because good shaving takes time and money.
How about Clayne Crawford's hair style ? Do anybody knows the name of his cut and product he uses ??

AI thumbnails popping up on RUclips are so generic looking
Without no hair on top, all those models to choose ends in bald. 😢
That will look like loosing all (money) 😅
Classic English haircut is the best.
Part of the so-called Old Money look is being clean shaven. No beards. And definitely no fades.

If these are all old money, what's left for new money haircuts?
No peaky blinders!? 😮
The French crop is slightly similar. The big difference is the transition.
I do my own variation. You have to know how to style it. Sometimes you need longer top to compensate
No Mohawk!?
My hair is long like David Beckham back in his young adult days but....finding it difficult but I can't be bothered with the high maintenance of having short hair but I am fed up with not being able to style my hair and it takes extremely long to dry
Short hair is not high maintenance? 😂
Antonio can you please make a video of style for big guys?
You don't have to look rich. What's the point? You tryna one-up others? Huh?
calm down karen
