We’re excited to announce that [Patch 5] has been submitted to Sony and Microsoft for review and should be ready for release on consoles soon. This version will be listed as [2009] in the bottom left of the main menu. XB1 users, please note that although the number displayed is lower than the last version, [2009] is the most recent version for both consoles.
Below is a list of additions, changes and fixes that you can look forward to in this update along with some general performance improvements. A new save is not required for any of these to take effect.
Additions:
Added a new Splash Screen to the start of the game.
Added the option for Third Person view.
Added Yucca cutting and farming.
Added Giant Crabs and Hogs.
Added Container Shelves, Canopies and Light Hooks for Rafts.
Added Hog, Crab, Giant Crab and Snake Spawners - This allows creatures to respawn on regular and custom on islands.
Combined Cloth and Tarp into one item.
Added improvements to material refunding visuals.
Added notifications for new Skills.
Added improvements to distant renders, water light refraction, light and shadows, particle and sound effects.
Added Volumetric Clouds.
Added HDR TV Support - HDR on the console must be configured to see this effect and HDR brightness can be controlled in the options menu.
Bug Fixes and Adjustments:
Fixed an issue with Deleted Islands reappearing on restart.
Fixed Shore Elements shifting position on reload.
Fixed a stutter between islands causing loss of Raft and Gyro.
Fixed an issue which prevented Inventory from auto-stacking correctly.
Fixed Underwater light refraction causing visual disruptions during gameplay.
Fixed Logs dropping vertically under character that caused the character to be displaced character upwards.
Fixed an issue that caused difficulty interacting with Rafts.
Fixed Raft sail being in incorrect position on game load
Fixed Life Raft Paddle remaining in mid air upon moving the Life Raft.
Fixed an issue with Lionfish causing poison effect after safe capture.
Fixed an issue that caused the Player being unable to place crafted building sections.
Fixed Interact button prompt not being present or disappearing when performing actions.
Fixed an issue that caused the Interaction Prompt not being displayed upon approaching a sunken boat’s ladder.
Multiple tools can now be added to the tool belt.
Adjusted raft steering.
Adjusted shark aggression/speed.

To let you know you can destroy the broken doors with your axe .. enter more of the boat and sometimes a shorter route to the deeper parts

Damaged doors on ships can be chopped with an axe to clear them.

The ship doors you keep getting stuck on can be busted down with an axe. Also, you can drop items from the radial inventory menu by right clicking on them instead of left clicking to equip. 50+ in game hours before I realized either of those things.

One more, you can smash the jamm door, using axe i recomend, don't bother to find another way, just smash everything :-) u can shoot the coco with... something :-D and u need to build 3 canopy to fully covering you from the heat not just one, left middle and right side. Enjoy.

It's easier to just jump in the water and pull the front of the raft the direction you want to go than to actually turn it properly.

Oh fyi its easier to get tires and,barrels out those big ships using the hammer and build
The Gyrocopter is bad. I did some testing ages ago and not only is it terribly slow the fuel economy is less than half of a boat. I can't remember the exact figures but it was something like 4 mins slower and when the boat ran out of fuel in 18 mins the Gyro ran out in like 7. But don't qoute me I use to have footage but never published because I decided not to cover this game anymore

Yes the floors on rafts do make buoyancy if you have them on
no buoyancy if there is no floors

Did you try pitching the gyro forward? That's how real helicopters work
Just use barrels on 2 segments either side of the boat and your boat I’d waaaay more buoyant 👍
I carried back walls from an island with a 3x1 container and a cargo ship with 3 2x1 containers on it. (27 walls and 4 doors) got it to all fit on a 3x3 raft with none of the floors taken out. Took about 45mins or more to stack them all up, idk how you're sinking with 3... i played it on ps4.
(The raft was half submerged but still managed to make it home without losing any)

Ok this is probably a really dumb question, I play Stranded Deep on PS5 and I'm assuming this here is PC gameplay, why does the Cartographer here show the map to be huge with about 50+ islands in a sort of more random looking layout whereas on my PS5 the Cartographer shows that my world is a 5 x 5 grid with about 20 islands max?

Every time I go out to search for new Stuff O empty out all my crates I sacked about so many create some signaling 80 Crates and all though my whole inventory except for one slot so that way I can put my or in my hand
And I'll take those crates from island island and I'll just put them all down when I get to the island and I keep feeling of those crates until I can basically bring back as much as I possibly can

I love stranded deep but the only thing that kept me from getting deep into the game no pun intended. Was that there is no multiplayer. I want to find other people and not just play with friends actually run into random people that are out playing Just Like Me.
