I literally drooled through this video. Whisky and chocolate....heck ya!! Great video presentation. Several years ago I had the pleasure of touring the Springbank distillery in Campbeltown dating back to 1828. What a great experience. You got it right - whisky is Scottish and whiskey is Irish. The tasting experience after a tour is really special and now you get to enjoy a wee dram of whisky with friends and tell them of your experience. Well done my friends!

Loved this! I've always loved whisky and have tried more types than I can remember. I can absolutely confirm that whisky and chocolate is a thing, because our Sunday afternoon treat is to pour a whisky, select some dark chocolate, open a good book and CHILL! That hotel was fantastic - you guys really know how to select your accommodation :)

Super liked this. Firstly you observed the very strict drink driving laws in Scotland and that is a credit to you... and then (as I just find that whisky gives me tummy ache) you did a cracking review of a wonderful distillery. The chocolate did look rather yummy and the whole experience was proper interesting. Thanks for taking me along :)

Their spirit measure has always been 35ml rather than the 25ml in the rest of the UK and perhaps as a result of this the devolved government tightened the laws so that now a half pint of premium lager would put you close to the limit and two drinks in a day could well be over.

Dewars was my first alcoholic beverage! I won a botte when i was 13 by swimming for it at a party. Fun memory, i wasn't even invited, went there on my own, sneaked out from our hotel where my family was sleeping during the night, and i was walking during nightly town, saw an open gate, and just walked in, minute after they were announcing that whoever managed to grab and swim out from the swimming poole the bottle is for them...imagine how i jumped first, and like 20 older men and women after me...now watching back i wonder how i survived it...i cannot swim for the life of me...ah ,teens years...well now i sound like a granny...tsk tsk...the things your videos are do to me ;)
My dad was an engineer and had several Scotch distilleries as clients. When I was a student I worked for him in the holidays and we spent a few days at Grants in Dufftown. They gave him an old barrel to cut in half and put plants in, and we drove back to London with it in the back of his estate car in the middle of summer. This was before cars had aircon and the car reeked of whisky for weeks. Can you get drunk on fumes?
I know you visited Romania already but the landscapes in your last videos are similar to Brașov County area, also some other parts of Transylvania and Bucovina (north-eastern Romania). Maybe one day you will come. If you do, I can show you arounds in Brașov, my hometown. (one of the most beautiful city in Romania)
Scotch whisky flavours vary a lot so if you try a few you might find one you like. I don't know where you live but in the UK even ordinary supermarkets sell taster sets of several miniature bottles of various types of Scotch.

As a Scotsman you might be suprised to hear i hate whisky, it's like drinking fire in my opinion and i don't think any amount of chocolate will change my view of it lol. Actually i hate the taste of all alcohol, i don't understand how people can drink the stuff, i will stick to Scotlands other national drink...the good auld Irn-Bru.

That's exactly the reason we haven't visited. Some people go there just for the channel subs to work the system, but the reality is those followers from Pakistan aren't followers - most don't care about any video you make other than in their country so it's actually detrimental to go. Its a shame, but lots of creators trying to game the system.
It's whisky not whiskey, it is only called whiskey when made outside Scotland because whisky is a protected brand. Much like how you have to call champagne sparkling wine and prosecco if it is not made in the champagne region of France because the name champagne is also a protected brand like whisky. Scotch is more of a nickname foreigners call whisky or whiskey.

The protected term is scotch, not whisky. Whisky can be made in any country, scotch can only be made in Scotland. To answer your question Vegan Voyagers, we don’t call it scotch cause we’re from Scotland. The stuff made in the states is known internationally as bourbon but in the states most folk would just call it whiskey. Same with Ireland, I call it Irish whiskey as I’m a Scotsman but they’d call it just whiskey. When I’m in Scotland I call our stuff whisky, when I’m out of Scotland I call it scotch so people know what I’m talking about.

Is the limit lower in Scotland than the rest of the UK? I never drink at all if I am driving so have never bothered finding out what the limits are.
