Thanks Barry and Paul! Another great educational video. Ionantha is one of the easiest of Tillandsia to care for. My ionantha is starting to bloom here in northern VA (in the house). Everything I receive from Rainforest Flora is beautiful and in excellent health.
Not sure what you mean ..."structure" ?....I would guess you are refering to the morphology of tillandsia as a genus. Here is a link to an good article on the subject by bromelaid botanist David Benzing. ... www.jstor.org/stable/2423907?seq=1#page_scan_tab_contents.

I have one of those it’s always been small and had a red flower once. I’ve had him 3 years and he stays green.
I love that you grow them in house.

Mr. Paul I need an identification of a Tillandsia ionantha. How to send you a picture?
Hi Paul, what kind of wire are u using to hang those tillies? galvanized? aluminum? copper wire? Thanks... I'm a newbie collector of tillies ;)
Never use copper wire, it kills air plants.

I'm curious about why some of these are rare; are they slow to offset? Not popular? Difficult to grow? Thanks for the awesome video.
