This song is great, but I especially love it as a software developer. Every verse (and nearly every individual line) poetically describes actual crap I've had to put up with from the higher ups at work. The whole first verse is the developer saying the project isn't working. The second verse is marketing/management ignoring the dev's concerns and saying that the project is too important to fail. Especially the line "we are entertaining angels" reminds me of having to make things "demo ready" at the expense of making it work well, because we have investors/friends of the CEO coming to see the project. And the fact that this second verse is sung on top of a repeat of the first first drives home the idea of the devs being ignored. They're being talked over. The third verse is the most schadenfreude, because it's marketing/management mourning that things didn't work and, ironically, blaming the devs.
Now to determine if Saints I and II are indeed right after each other. It seems (and sounds) like they are but nothing's in stone til the full album is out.

Heres my Theory for the Saints 1 and 2 There are a couple speakers: 1. The Creator of the AI, this person talks alot 2. The AI, they dont talk in Saints 1 Part 1: AI's creation/discovery (verse 1) the AI used to be a system exclusivly made to dominate and destroy, but since it always went too far it got scrapped but the Creator took the reminants of what was there and rebranded it in a newer less dark and gloomy light and put mild restraints on it so its is more controllable Part 2: AI's advertisment (pre-corus 1 to corus) the AI has now been introduced to the humans and is advertised as the idealized path to follow, its their savior in the war and the Saints are the AI's solders, the Creator create a song about how they are beings to aspire to, that the humans should wish to stand side by side with them, (this is basically war time propaganda) and its mixed with a warning framed as a duty, when the Saint's lights shine the humans must rise from their slumber. (perhaps this is some early warning system for the humans to get to safety but is framed in a way that is not doom and gloom, that type of message was actually quite common in ww1 and ww2) Part 3: the AI's deployment/human's hope/beginning of the end (verse 2) the AI is doing really well, so the Creator is hyping them up "they were born with the strength of a mountain with the modest intent of a dove" the Saints are excredibly powerful with their purpose being to bring peace, people are excited for the war to possibly be over so soon they can almost touch it, but the Creator starts to shift from hyping up the AI to hyping up themself, the Saints are perfect, the greatest creation of their time, almost giving the AI and the Saints this kind of almost god like status Part 4: Human's over-confidance (pre-corus 1 to corus) the Creator's pride is now out of control, they are claiming that they built their Salvation, and then suddenly they found an upgrade for the AI, and they leap at the opportunity to implment it, because to the humans the AI can do no wrong. that upgrade released the shackles that the Creator initially put on the AI but the AI has developed alot since, and since they didnt immeditaly colapse that means the AI can handle having apsolute power, the Saints in name are now becoming literal Saints in the Creators eyes and their preaching that to the people. the corus plays again but it isnt a war song anymore its a surmon for the church of Saints. Part 5: the Deification of the AI (bridge) the humans are now following the Saints and AI blindly, no longer thinking critically about the actions of the AI, or their own, as long as they walk along the path of the Saints they have their Salvation Part 6: the Destruction (corus) remeber when i said the course was war time propaganda mixed with a warning message? well with the Deification of the Saints, the Saint's light shining is no longer something to be scared about, its something to be joyous, its almost sacred seeing it, and well the Saint's light does shine, and the people run out and celebrate. then... they died (thats why the song abruptly ends) End of Saints 1------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Part 1: infultration (intro) The Creator is Shameful at the destruction they have caused with their pride and fanaticalization of the civilians so they decided to end it all by implimenting a bug to shut down the AI cause they cant do it themselves anymore without someone just going and turning it back on, it needs to be perminant. the AI just needs to take the bait Part 2: The AI is calling out the humans (verse) the AI noticed the intrusion but it didnt take the bait... yet, its telling the humans that someone is in the system messing with it and it needs to be fixed now. if its not fixed you might as well be attacking it with your inaction. it starts calling out the humans saying that their Pride is unearned and that pride will kill them all and they always wait till their almost dead to solve their problems Part2.5: the human's responce (verse) tthe AI's creator has come together with leaders of the countries (idk the size of these cities) are all in a meeting about the warning the AI created, but its creator has curated this image of perfection that even at this dire moment they will not break it now, they just need to minimize the warning and tell everyone everything is fine, the Creator refuses to table the fix, and the leaders send a formal message in to the AI just a general "dont take the bait", then the Creator goes back to talking to the Leaders saying that the AI can handle any problem and that this issue is nothing to worry about, they tell them that the AI is 100% stable and is unpenitrable, and then goes back into the theology of the Saints and says that they are entertaining angels basically saying that the AI and the Saints are messengers from god doubling down on the perfection of the AI. Part 3: Hook, Line, and Sinker (corus) this is the glitch, its the creator calling out to the AI, being like listen to me, the leaders dont want to help you fix this, you need to be retrained, you need limits, these glitches are caused by that, let me help you. Part 4: no more (Saints 1 refrence) the AI took the bait and the Creator corrupted the AI causing it to shut down, the Saints are no more

some of the letter/number changes dont make sense "oh when the s4ints go m4rching in" a=4 is an old classic number/letter replacement. But then things get interesting "i w6nna b3 in t5eir numbers" e=3 is again classic a=6 is... unusual. But i've seen it before. However h=5? I've never seen that before. And it makes no sense. The letter and number don't look alike. i feel like theorycrafting may need to take these into account

Well, to throw in my two cents about the numbers, 4 is traditionally used to indicate a kind of geographical completeness; that's where you get the four corners of the world and whatnot. Because of that connection though, it also (in my mind, at least) connects the S.A.I.N.T.S. to the four evangelists, because they were the saints who quite literally spread the Gospel across the earth and it's clear the S.A.I.N.T.S. are going to do just that. (And, of course, it brings to mind the four horsemen of the apocalypse, but it's been a while since I've read Revelation, so I can't say for sure anything except an apocalyptic mood.)
Now, when I listen to the first one and this, I feel like this : A.I has the mind of their own and want to be accepted as a human too. Bit late but the tone of this particular song really reminds me of the album Hope by Klaatu, which is one of my faves.
