The word that comes to mind when I listen to him, and Guy Sebastian, is flexibility. Both have range and tone, but they also have incredibly flexible voices.

Matt is absolutely brilliant. A true musician he even put out an album where he did all the instruments and vocals himself!! He has more of an Indie/soul vibe than pure rock and he’s a master at live on stage looping. Anyway I Just discovered you. I’d love to introduce you to Australia’s favourite rock band, Cold Chisel, which happens to have one of the best male vocalists of our time, as well as one of Australia’s best guitarists and best songwriter.. not a bad combo. Do you know that Prince once made an album where he played every instrument and sang every vocal? He played dozens of instruments. Matt has done something very similar. He made an album by himself playing all the instruments and singing all the vocals. Matt is such a singular talent.

@@michaelgoyettemusic Guy Sebastian has had a lot of hits, but to start you off check out a cut back version of one of his songs called Battle Scars, that he performed in his home studio for Anzac Day , Music From The Homefront in 2020 (ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps....and this was during Covid when we were not able to attend the annual ceremonies). A lot of reactors have watched and I haven't heard of issues...the original features rapper Lupe Fiasco but I still love Guys version (it's his song).... Jessica Mauboy's was runner up back in 2006 and she has played in an Australain movie called The Sapphires and on a TV series. From the movie check out "Who's Loving You". I love her raw emotion in her song, Little Things. As for Dami (said Darmi which rhymes with army) I'm (which rhymes with him), there is a Version of Sound of Silence from her page......I also live her jamming with Kate Ceberano too, with Love's In Need of Love today.
