I’ve watched a ton of truck camping setups, and no joke - this is one of the most practical, and well thought out setups I’ve seen. It’s clear you use the truck, and know where things should be stored for easy access and all the little comfort things - fans, lights, other necessities. Well done! Please do a video of the truck cab as well.

I have been watching truck camper setups for over a year.... Probably well over a 100 different people.... And everybody has their own style obviously..... It is a proven fact that while men come up with good ideas and they know how to put things together..... It is generally a woman that comes up with the finesse to make it look good and efficient.......
So I would have to say that this is the nicest setup I have seen yet..
And you could see very clearly that that was not feces in the bottom of the portable toilet... At 1st glance it looked more like dry corn...
You sound southern....plus the expression, "y'all "..... what state are you from??

Nice. I used a similar approach for my Tacoma based "cap camper". Plastic storage bins and a small shelf along the passenger side. Organized, neat, weather/bug/vermin proof.
The Roll-a-Cot is the way to go...in the heat it breathes...I used a Thermarest pad on mine, then my bed bag. Very comfortable.
Having a simple tarp/canopy rig is nice to have...gives you some shade/rain shelter and a place to stand up in some degree of shelter. A 8x12' tarp and two extendable poles is easy to rig and store. The 8' side goes over your cap, secured by the corner grommets to your rear wheel fender area with bungee cords. Place and stake the poles out and your're done.
    Safe travels!

I’ve watched a lot of camping/van life/trailer/overlanding videos, and the stuff that you’ve done with your truck is amazing. You’ve done stuff that I don’t think I’ve seen other people do but makes so much sense (e.g. the magnetic screens for the windows!!! I use that for my back door but on your truck/camper is genius, and I love the different lights you use including the colored lights). It all makes so much sense and looks so neat and cozy.
Also, the carpeting on the inside is genius. It keeps things quiet but also can be used for the Velcro - genius.

Goes to show you don't need to spend a lot a money, time, or effort to have a great space like you've done. All those videos of guys building with their expensive tools, measuring down to the millimeter, spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars can be a turn off and prevent people from doing what you've done. Everything is so simple and practical, and well thought out. You have broken the mold, maybe all those long-beard hunters and fishermen out there should take a page from your book. 😛 Great job, absolutely loved it!

Thank you so very much!!! I have all the info above about the little fans from Amazon. The little changing color pop lights can from the Home Store. I just found them near the check out counter.

Dawn thank you, I am retired on a budget. This will work for me. My late wife threatened to call 911 if I picked a screwdriver on anything sharp. I like to travel and this would work out great 👍

You’re a breath of fresh air. I’ve ran a shell for 20 years. Camped in it while hunting many times. Just got a new truck, have a new ARE MX ordered and want to fix up a quick removable chill pad I can go on road trips with just pup and me.

I'm going to share this with my mom who is suuuuper nervous about me trying out car camping (especially as a woman). I love this! Enjoyed the video. There is not a whole lot of variation we can do unless you have or build a six wide bed. But you have yours so warm and inviting… Just love it. I am Making mine 5’4” wide. I will be able to have a bed across the front of the truck bed. I am also going 6 inches over the cab purely for storage, angled very sharply for aerodynamics. Really loved your warm, cozy camper.
