    I've got the same setup, due to larger, heaver tires, upgraded to 33x12.5 from stock, and I cannot say enough good things about these rotors and pads! Bed them in properly and you're set. If you're towing, or lifted with beefier tires, you can't go wrong!!

    At 4:20 the rust is from the caliper metal which has lost its paint where the caliper touches the brake pad. That break pad has stainless steel shim plate on the outside of the pad. So it isn’t the pad which is rusting. Just wanted to share that because you mentioned you weren’t sure which.

    Great Review and thanks for posting! I installed PowerStop towing brakes Z36 pads and rotors on the front of my 1997 GMC K1500 suburban a few years back and the stopping power is the best I ever had on this truck. Note, that my K1500 only has disk Brakes on the front , so the rear are drums..

    These are okay but instead of the drilled and slotted rotors get the normal coated ones. Those will not have any vibrations no rust and will perform oveall better. I had the drilled rotors on my car and hated that flutter sound they made when you pass by parked cars or highway divider if you're close you can hear that brrrrrrrr sound. It's very suble but you can still hear it. Besides if you have salt on the roads the coated ones from powerstop are great fot that.

    Hey was woundering, did you service your brake.
    By that i mean , on my 2017 ram with stock pads and rotor after 40,000 km the driver side was squeaking. Had to to clean pads and discs.
    Was woundering if it was just cause of the stock pads ands discs.
    Its my first pick up, i always had cars, and never had to clean or service the brakes.
    Was looking in to the z36 kit, cause rams dont stop for shit..
    Anyways, thanks for the video.

      Never had to service my stock pads or these. They've been very quiet! Even when I had mud caked up in them. 😁

    • @bigsparky8888
      @bigsparky8888 5 лет назад

      Squeaking is a good sign...it only means that your disc brake pads are HARD and will last a long time...ok...(I honestly hope it is not the wear indicator brushing up to the rotor itself) best check it out...

    If you're somebody that hates the rust like me try RP-342. Wish I had found it years ago. A smothering cosmoline wax that's really tough. Without oxygen there can be no rust. I have it all over my truck now. Working on it is a breeze. Because all the nuts and bolts are sealed from corrosion
