@@SnowysOutdoors yeah the large frontier bowl barely fits upside down inside the pot, I realized the large detour bowls don’t fit at all( but the medium does) can’t wait for your seatosummit video explaining
I had the two sizes of the old version (with the transparent pot cover). I liked them but the lid aged and cracked easily. The plastic handles around the side decayed. I would NOT recommend it. Not Until I saw this new version I finally bought this. Will take some time to test it out. The build quality seems well improved. The detachable handle is a welcoming addition. The pouring mouth will make boiling water easier. The MSR talon handle is more easy to detach however, The lid handle that clips on to the side of the pot seems useful as camping tables are usually small. Will try to cook with it at home tmr. *I don’t like the teal color however. Wish it comes in the white chocolate color or something more serious*
Looks like sea to summit is improving there collapsible range, looks great
I've been impressed by the frontier gear - and the detour aswell - looks shmick

Hey Ben, great content, thanks for the info, cheers CB 👍🇦🇺
I'm glad you found it useful. ~ Ben
Could this be used on a hotplate rather than an open flame without problem?
Not induction, if electric it probably could - just make sure the hotplate isnt wider than the pot base

@@SnowysOutdoors thanks for the reply, I have a cast iron hotplate on a gas cooktop so probably not suitable.
Does the pot the fit large sea to summit bowls?
Which bowls are you thinking? The Frontier ones?

Hi! Can it be used for frying? I remember the X-Pot were not suitable.
It's not ideal, sorry - better to go with the frypan options
