As I say in the video, it's about giving yourself a chance later in the game. Rarely is Irulan going to just run away with it, she's designed to be mid-late game.
After this review I played two solo games with this leader. Two comments. First, by trashing the lower quality cards without buying too many new ones you have a lot more chance of having your ring and diplomacy almost every turn and have full board access. I found myself trashing about 2/3 of the cards from my starter deck not the new ones to get spice. I found the value of more deck control with 7-8 cards as good if not better than 10-12 cards and trashing cards your flowing in and out. Thoughts?
That can defo be an advantage as it allows more consistency but you are also limiting your ways of getting points as you're almost never getting any SMF points with a 7-8 strong deck. So there has to be compensation.
Great review.
Amber aside, I love how close Uprising’s leaders are in power. Paul did a great job this time making everyone viable.
Completely agree. These are great leaders.
I just played a game with her last night in seat 3 and that was nice going into round 7.

love me some Irulan! I am even more excited to play her again after this video
Water Peddler is a 1-cost card, too. Would be great to have in Uprising with Irulan!
It's be strong for I think pretty much anyone but yeah, obvious synergy with her.

Hi short question, is it possible to trash so many cards with your ring that your deck and discard pile don't consist of 5 cards anymore?
Sure. Why not?
@@hidden-assets Because then you can't draw 5 cards anymore. Don't know if that would be allowed :D
@@MucPezy you would draw up to 5. :)
