Tate has figured out how the media and "the powers that be" manipulate people, and make them into obedient pawns they can control, and so Tate worked hard on developing a strategy to counteract this manipulation, and one part of this strategy is keeping his private life STRICTLY PRIVATE. That's why most people don't know anything about him, and that's also why he can't be simply "destroyed" through social media accusations and what not, unlike many people who, for one reason or another, can't seem to be able to keep their mouths shut and their private lives private. They are dragged through that proverbial mud online and taken to court and what not, getting their reputations completely decimated. Tate is quiet, smart, wise, and perhaps most importantly very very patient.

That was a long long long time ago. He didn't even have kids back then. I also think even if he did it's not evil. Why is it evil to say if you beg me for help I'll help you and save your daughter? He's offering help and the only thing he needed to do to get it was ask.
