I am from Melbourne, and love seeing these improvements in Sydney. It is so hard battling Alan Jones, Developers, Hotels Association culture etc - but hats off to Clover for fighting the vested interests and upgrading the liveability of Sydney.
the likes of Alan Jones did so much to hold Sydney back. keeping everyone in cars, and ridiculing anything to do with improve quality of life in the city of Sydney. disappointing times. it still amazes me how some in media hold so much power over the government. I was living in Paddington in those times. no separated or any bike paths then.
Great interview. I used to commute in Sydney by bike, when I was the 1%. I've since moved to regional NSW. Our council needs to get going on this. C'mon Mid Coast council!
