Thank you for this video. I was looking at getting this top link for my little Johnny. I am always adjusting the top link between the planter, tiller, box blade, scrapper and other attachments. This makes everything easier
I used the same kit on my 1025r last summer and it has been great except the Agri Supply Cylinder is crap. It creeps and bleeds down to much now i have to search out a cylinder that has the check valves on it 😞 Definitely a worth while investment and saves a ton of time when working with your implements!!! Took my TR3e/ TR3 to a whole nother level once i got this done!
Great video, I had never seen this kit. I stumbled across it while looking for the loader 3 scv type kit. Wonder if they make something like this for a 21 2025r w/power beyond already installed. On to my youtube hunting I guess. Thanks again, very helpful!
Thanks for the thorough walk through. Now that (I’m assuming) you’ve had a chance to use it for a while how do you like the positioning of the valve handle? I’ve got the factory third function on mine and have decided to run lines from that valve to the back so I can just use the buttons on joystick to control a top link. Obviously it’s not a dedicated valve and I’ll have to unplug and plug to use grapple, but I like the ergonomics of it. Question for you..the extra coupler bracket included with your kit for the older 1025r, are you interested in selling it?
This is a good video. However, it seems like a colossal job to just gain one function. So instead of doing this entire job, why not add a power beyond circuit first, and then use that to tap into for all other auxiliary hydraulic needs? You’ve basically just installed a power beyond circuit, but connected it to only one single spool SCV. Not much of a gain there. I’d estimate that that kit probably cost between $500 and $1000 with all those hard lines. You could’ve designed a custom power beyond loop with two flexible manufactured hoses and the correct fittings for probably less than $200. And then added a single spool SCV to that for controlling the top link. Or even better, add a 4 or 6 spool SCV, and have many functions available for future hydraulic implements. Not to mention, you’d have a power beyond loop for attaching a backhoe, etc. Again, this is a good video you’ve made, but the kit you’ve spent many hours to install has barely gained you any useful function. Could’ve done the same amount of work, spent a lot less, and got a lot more functionality out of your system.
I’ve spent many years customizing cars and motorcycles. I do a lot of metal fabrication. When it comes to hydraulics I am not as well verse. I also hit a point in life where I enjoy a clean bolt on factory solution. I forget the exact total but it was less than $1000 and gave me all the functionality I need, which is a hydraulic rear top link.
Great job on the video. Made it super easy to follow.
You just lowered the intimidation factor for me. thank you
I've had my hydraulic top link for about five years now and I love it. My tractor already had to remotes so the it was an easy install.

You did a superb job of visually demonstrating the job. Excellent video. Thank you!
Great in depth explanation on all that is to de done.
I was considering this, after watching your video I’m definitely getting it. Thanks!

You need a check valve with that cylinder.
Did you find a different top link cylinder to buy?
Nice job. Very helpful walkthrough.

Great walkthrough. Thanks for sharing!
Great Job, that will be very helpful. Thanks for sharing.
Really well done video, great job!
This is awesome! Thanks.
Wonder if that kit works if you have the backhoe and all the plumbing ?
You should open a school and teach people how to make a good video. Great job! How much was the JD kit and what was the approximate total parts cost?
You did an awesome job. Where did you get the kit to hook up the top link?
Why not clean the dirt of before reassembling?
Good job.

No comparison to the fit and finish of the oem kit.
How are things working out with the Agri Supply Cylinder?
So far so good.
