I installed my HydrosPlus kit last spring. It works great and Kevin is also great to work with!
Knipex plyers are amazing.. one of the best kept trade secrets! You should mention how large of tractor you would have to get from JD to get equivalent flow. Just so people have a frame of reference.
Good point. 3R is similar
Installed my 9.5 pump system last spring and mostly take advantage of how much it improved the functions of my backhoe. Tim and Kevin did a nice video showing the improvements in function. The higher flow rate allows you to move multiple functions on the backhoe at the same time. The stock pump only allows just one function to move at a time. It also performs each function just a bit faster, and the whole backhoe operation becomes second nature since you don't have to stop and think about using each function.
When you combine the Hydrosplus 9.5gpm kit with the Summit rear remotes system, you have a killer combination! Now, if Tim would just push harder to get the turbo kit into production and available to the public,............!!!
Welcome to the HydrosPlus upgrade. Had my 9.5 gpm installed for about 6 months. You will love it. At the end Kevin stated he liked the Knipex pliers. I ordered a set last week and will give them a try. Thanks.
I just ordered a Hema 14.6 cc pump and drilled the internal flow divider. Just saw a person do this on Facebook with amazing speed increases 89 cu inch 11gal per min with 14.6cc pump
Kevin, I already have the 9.5 GPM kit and love it. NOW you come up with a higher capacity unit? Imagine me with tears running down my face. Tim, I will not tell my wife about this. She has been very tolerant of my need to spend money on the tractor, but I can't do this to her again, at least not on a larger pump 😊.
Very interesting Tim, glad to see the factory couplers, hoses, and hydraulic manifolds are not restricting flow much at such a high flow rate. Keep up the great work 👍🏻
Just got mine installed on my 2025R a couple weeks ago. Love the Hydrosplus kit.
Really helped hydraulic function overall on my 2025R , very happy with it.
I Bought The HydrosPlus Performance Kit + Extreme Capacity 9.5 GPM Pump last night. Hoping for good things when it arrives.
Hope you used code ttwt!
@@TractorTimewithTim I did Tim!
Johnny x needs some sweet “Johnny X” stickers made.
I predicted this. I am really enjoying seeing the limits gets pushed. Great job!
Well you had a bigger plan for Johnny X than we could have imagined. I think that I will be adding additional hydraulic flow in the near future. Thanks for sharing folks
Tim you are really getting" Johnny X" dialed in! The original 1025r was an ok "little tractor" but now it's a Super- little-big Tractor! Not every body could be trusted with all them "Power-Goodys". I like that John-Deere "mounted" the hydraulic pump on the transmission instead of "slapping " a hydraulic pump on a sidewinder gear of the fuel injection pump like SO MANY tractor manufactures do. A Realy Kool vidio Tim & Company. Always like your caption on the end of the vidios. GBWY.
This pump and the adjustable flow divider would be great for operating implements like a hydraulic post auger, where you could divert most all the flow to the auger since you’re not really moving while operating.
Tim, you are the 1025R MAN. No doubt about it. Since you got Johnny-X home I've been waiting for Kevin to show up with a new bigger pump. You didn't show it and maybe Kevin does on his channel but how do you know when you have enough flow to the steering? Trial and error? Thank you for taking the time to create this video and having Kevin there. And you do a pretty good job of explaining the why's and how's things work.
Yes, turn it up until it steers easily.
Now I have a frankenstein 1023e. Biggest hydros plus pump, jd power beyond ( jury rigged, will not fit stock with other jd kits), jd 3rd function, jd hydraulic mower lift, jd rear remote, and 4 spool summit kit. Polluted tractor with hydraulics.
Thank you again you have named tractor X correctly most tractor owners dream of modifying their tractor to be able to get more out of the tractor in able to do more with their tractor. Most owners don’t have the knowledge and information to be able to do safe and proper modifications. I look forward to seeing what your videos show us and have branched out and watch other YOU TUBE TUBE channels through your videos. Keep up the great work.
Very interesting…the verse at the end was so fitting for me today. Thanks and God bless👍
Thanks for the video guys , if my warranty was up I might give this a try lol . Can't wait to see the difference in real world testing. God bless guys!
Ordered mine, will be here Monday. Can't wait to get it on!
I just placed an order for my 1023e which will go along with the Hydroplus Turbo I just installed a few weeks ago. Thanks Kevin and Tim!
Wait, what? Installed the turbo on a tractor you just ordered?
Great video Tim, Kevin, and Christy! That is one awesome kit!
Great video. Can't wait to see the difference once you starting using it for projects. Wondering if that kit works on different models or just the 1025R...will look at the hydrosplus site for that info.
You guys should totally see if you can replace the "R" in"1025" on the hood to an "X", I think it would look a whole lot better than some blue tape on the side & seat.
Tim, I passed by your fathers farm on Monday going to a farm auction I’ll leave nameless for your families privacy. Couldn’t help but admire the way your dad laid that yard out, it just seemed to make sense. I have always enjoyed the farm videos and hope to see more. Maybe a farm history video showing what your family has built up would be a neat video?
Thanks Sam. Some of the ‘history’ is kinda painful, so it is hard to talk through it.
Like everyone, the story is not all positive.
That auction is where I bought the stolen tractor :-(.
@@TractorTimewithTim I remember those videos, it’s part of the reason why we made it a social event more than a buying event.
I understand not all stories are pretty all to well. When I was growing up my family had a “family” farm. But when I wanted to start farming I had to start from scratch. It’s been a rocky road with lots of rough patches but I feel it’s made me stronger.
One thing I’ve always admired is how well all the generations of your family have been able to get along. That is really something special.
What did the 3039r cab with 260 hrs sell for?
@@TractorTimewithTim sorry I didn’t stay long enough to watch it. After the 16 row Kinze sold I was cold and ready to go home.
Diggin the power trip....
I am eagerly awaiting to see a video on the 2038R HydrosPlus conversion when it becomes available this spring! I'm hoping to see something in the 15 gpm range with 12gpm to implements. Keep us posted!
Pre-orders are open for the 2038R version with orders expecting to ship as early as next week. (The week of Feb 21, '22)
Thanks for the video Tim and Christy.
Tim are you considering designing and purchasing an "OEM-like" logo decal to replace the blue scotch tape X-s? That would be a neat way to make it a sleeper, looking "stock" but for the extra yellow decal X or whatever you choose.
My husband and I purchased a Kubota BX 1880 this past November. My husband has started watching your channel and really enjoys it. Your videos have helped him learn more about tractors and helped on making his decision on which tractor to purchase. We both appreciate the family friendly atmosphere and the Scriptures that you share at the end of your videos. Tim and Christy, Thank You for Shining The Light of Christ through the way you live your lives!
Thanks for the comment, Ruby!
Really appreciate the encouragement!
Johnny Xtreme...very cool. If it all holds together, even better!
Fun stuff Tim and Christy! What a great solution for a broader range of attachment applications. (Ah…yes the LImbsaw!). Johnny X is going to be a wild “ride”! Looking forward to the journey. Blessings to you folks..
Tim, I like Johnny X because I think of it more as Jonny Experimental.
I hope to add one of his kits in the future. Thank you for sharing your experience and looking forward to the updates.
Enjoyed the installation!! Makes me want to add it to my Kubota!! But my money manager says no!! You have one of those too Tim!! Enjoyed the scripture from Proverbs; hearts are about to be sorely tested!!
Great video, thanks Larry
Toy addiction to deere. Ordered the 3rd level pump 1023e and the bigger fel cylinders. Looking at wheel weights, already at 3 pt hitch lift limit. Could get myself into trounle.
Consider Rimguard for the rear tires. Big help.
One cool thang u can do the Johnny X is get one of the aftermarket cabs that’s a true heart cab with glasses now and permanently install it then you can set up an air conditioning system in it for not that much money you could do it for around $12-$1500 by buying a village air kit off-line and will fit pretty much anything
I want to see how the backhoe runs with the added flow. I bet it comes to life with the added flow. Are you adjusting pressure as well?
Tim and Kevin did a video a while ago with the higher flow rate running the backhoe. Yes, it GREATLY improves the backhoe's function. I have the 9.5gpm system on my machine and it makes the backhoe a lot more fun, and much faster to use. I also bumped my pressure up to 2100psi from a stock 1850psi. I see that improvement mostly on how much the loader can lift. Kinda hard to get a feel in difference on the backhoe.
Kevin's website shows you how to adjust the system pressure.
1025 RX, very cool video
Hey Tim 🚜 I really enjoyed this video 🇺🇲
Nice work fellas! That is a pretty cool tractor mod!
Well done guys! There will always be challenges with performance enhancements. Finding the correct engineering balance between longevity, efficiency and increasing the performance envelope is always a challenge. It's what inventors/creators/dreamers have done throughout history to challenge the status quo (market dominator's) and bring better products to the marketplace. Ask NASCAR, NASA, Space -X, NHRA, etc. Don't despise small beginnings. Someone is always watching, though they might say they aren't! LOL! Keep it up with Johnny X!
Now we're talking! Great to have upgrades like this to leverage the extra engine power.
John deere needs to be taking notes. Great video as always yall
So the Turbo maintains the engine power...and the HydrosPlus supports faster oil flow...no gain in power though. And the only concern is operating temperatures... Seems like a winning situation thus far...
You better get your extreme decals installed
It would be cool to see if it could run a front loader hydraulic post hole digger if you ever get the opportunity.
Well Tim that is nice you get all the nice toys 😀
Tim Taylor approves.
Johnny on performance enhancing parts could be tractor life shortening to certain users. Deer engineered the hydraulic flow to ensure reliability & durability of loader cylinders & PTO implements.
Polaris has some nice yellow X decals for the edge X models. I think they would look good on Johnny X
I just watched the LimbSaws video, and all I've got to say is you're a braver man than I to run that on an open station tractor.
Video makes it difficult to see actual angles and dangers. We are much further from the action than it might appear.
I'm seeing a little tim the tool man Taylor here lol
MORE POWER! Uh, uh, uh!
I purchased the 9.5, need to get installed yet, looking forward to the improved flow
I see it now, 11GPM!
Great Video. Hope they have the tractor show in Kentucky and would be cool to have Johnny X there 😂.
It has been discussed.
thanks for sharing the video, it would be interesting if you took an infrared thermometer and checked the oil temperature at the hydraulic oil cooler before and after the oil flow increase kit. you can still do that test just by checking your stock tractor to Johnny x
I want to see another video really pushing that tractor to the absolute limit.
Yeah sr. Mr Tim back to the good stuff
For post hole auger
Definitely Johnny X.
Both eXtreme and eXperimental!
Nice upgrade for Johnny X!
I was thinking what John Sponable said earlier, though my naming idea is 1025RX. Maybe make the X twice as large so it stands out.
Yes!
Looking forward to the Johnny X decal update! Painters tape is impressive but......😅
Will the increased flow create potential tempature issues with the hydraulics?
Keep up the good work 😀👍
this is awesome! so much fun watching this series
I have a 1025-R ,with a Mauser Cab.I would like but the HydrosPlus kit in it.
It’ll work!
Point me in a direction. Looking for 24-30 hp tractor for my 40. Thinking yanmar as dealer is near and tractor has 10yr warranty. Love the channel
Very nice kit. Well thought out.
Great video, wonder what is next for Johnny X, Spring is coming soon!! 🤔
Proverbs 4:23 that verse speaks to me ❤️❤️❤️
Looks like a good way void the warranty but I really want one keep up the good work you two
Interesting
I got to thinking, you’ve got a 1025R and you have a 1025X. What you need now is a 1025RX!! Let’s see some tracks on that bad boy!
We can’t find tracks to fit.
@@TractorTimewithTim Too bad, it would be interesting to see how they would do in a yard on whether it would tear up the yard when turning, amongst other comparisons.
tim have you ever checked out one of these samauri sickle mowers that mount on the bucket and run off of hydraulics i"ve seen pictures and videos of them on a 1025 like mine looks pretty handy any thoughts? love your videos very educational and informative.
I’m trying to get one for testing.
Our garbage trucks are 60gpm flow
I started my Kioti CK 2610 HST this morning in single digit temperatures and within a minute (thankfully I had stepped out of the cab to let it warm up and do other things) I saw hydraulic fluid spewing out of one of the filters
I had changed filters approximately 200 hours previously and had tightened them but it was hot weather then
I don’t know if the extreme cold made the O ring shrink (it’s been known to happen with much more serious consequences) but it was less than snug when I checked after the leak occurred
I removed the filter since I knew the fluid had slipped by under pressure and sure enough the O ring was more of an 0 ring I pressed it back into its groove and put it back on and tightened it with a filter wrench It took 3 gallons to top it off to the mark on the dip stick
I have my own RUclips channel but only have 11 subscribers It may be a good topic for you to share on your channel as it may help thousands more folks to encourage them to check their filter tightness
Thanks and God Bless
Ps I’m going to share this yo some of my other favorite channels

I couldn’t find Tim’s email address and wanted to share this experience as widely as possible.
I enjoy these " upgrade " videos, keep it up
How about removing the r in the 1025r and putting a yellow t on Johnny and at the same time leaving the X for now until it is no longer xperamental. This would make the transition flow better.
Thanks for explaining things so well! 😁👨🚒
Looks like you're trying to make the Deere version of the kubota b26 tlb.
Sure wish I could do that on my kubota!!
Well. You can always trade!
@@TractorTimewithTim - I already went 6k out of my comfort zone with the new BX. Trading it in and losing 3 grand on top of it for a like product would send me to therapy for the next 5 years, lol. Do appreciate the feedback though, keep up the fun projects.
Awesome improvement to a tractor just don’t so to AHW for repairs
Enough Bill.
Id be interested to see after a full days use what the oil temp will be
The 1025r has a hydrostatic oil cooler.
So, this will increase enough to run a Halverson 100 wood processor now?
Should Johnny be a TX version? Maybe leave space behind that to place more letters as he grows into an even more awesome tractor. Just a thought.
After seeing the previous time with Kevin's kit, I'm hoping they can get Deere to sign a deal as part of a research and development team.
Deere doesn't do that. If anything they would buy them and then shut it down.
I am LOVING this series! Also, remain a fan of "X", although "XT" wouldn't be bad either? Mostly, I just can't wait to see this beast out in the field!!! Keep 'em coming...
P.S. Nice job on the thumbnail 👌 👍
Need to save "T" for the tracked model.
Hey Tim now that you have the turbo on the 1025R you should call it instead of the ask you should call the 1025R Tim
Another awesome HydrosPlus upgrade!
Just wondering about inherent flow restriction on the 1025R. As mentioned in the video, the Summit kit is not designed to handle the increased flow. What about the stock plumbing, 3rd function , etc? Are we reaching a "breaking point" where problems may occur?
I think we are close to the limits. There will be no ‘breakage’, but heat would be the first symptom.
@@TractorTimewithTim Yes, overheating on a 100 degree day would be my primary concern as the cooling system capacity is not being increased as well.
Yes. What we are seeing is that the oil cooling system has been over designed (like most stuff on Deere machines).
The summit valve brings its own cooling so to speak. Aluminum block dissipates heat.
X stands for Experimental. T stands for Trainer. USAF
Hey Tim now that you got that awesome turbo on there you should see if you can do burnouts this next summer I think that would be awesome wouldn’t hurt to try
Did you make it up to Farm Show in Fort Wayne this week? Large turnout all 3 days.
Hi Tim. Looking forward to meeting you at the NFMS in February. We will be coming all the way from Wisconsin to see the show and network with you and others. I am starting to make videos to start my you tube channel and would be open to any and all advice you would give a newby. What do you use for go pro mounts for your tractor and other places? Magnet, suction cup? Where did you get them? Thank you
Most of the time, Christy holds the camera.
Waiting for lawn mowing autosteer next 🤔
Good morning. I came across your video in the past where you were double stacking round bales with Johnny. Did you have any upgrades on the tractor at that time? Additionally, what is the main purpose of increasing your flow rate? Is it to get more lift capacity and power for your implements? Thanks!
Increased flow only speeds the operation of the implements, it does NOT make them "stronger". To get more "strength" you need more pressure. I believe in the near future we will see Tim increase the pressure on his system, likely with before and after tests that will help answer your question.
1025XTT - eXperimental Turbo Tractor
Will this make the tractor travel faster in High? I have a 2012 1023e and would like a little bit higher travel speed in High. Right now I get about 6-7mph when it should be around 9mph. It doesn't sound like much but I would prefer 10-11mph.
No change to travel speeds.
