You're just entering the Warning rabbit hole. I discovered them by accident about a month ago after watching a trailer for Marvel's videogame where there was a sneak peek of this cover song, it hooked me up and I waited so impatiently until it was released. After listening to it so many times that I lost count, I went and checked them out, their complete works so far, still have to see a lot of recorded live performances they did over the years, but they are an absolutely amazing rock trio, and they are also sisters which makes it even better, they have a great synergy. Started from very young age and they loved playing instruments and playing together from the start, a lot of practicing and learning over the years coupled with that natural talent they all share has produced what we see today and they are still getting better and better. They have been very mature for their age, for both lyrics that delve into different social issues, to their skills on instruments and their beautiful harmonies when they sing together or alternate between each other. They were pretty much solely crowdfunded until a few years ago when they finally got an official record label, but their imperative was always to have full control over their artistry and they got that, they write, sing and play everything all by themselves, I love it. There is not a single thing they made or covered that wasn't enjoyable for me, I never experienced something like this listening to a band, there is something very special here, they have so many great songs and they are still only at the beginning. I was never happier to discover a band like this, and I can't wait what they will do next. As soon as they come close by here in Europe I am definitely going to go and experience their rock magic and energy live. Some basic info on them: Daniela “Dany” [guitar, lead vocals] (21 years old), Paulina “Pau” [drums, vocals, piano] (19 years old), and Alejandra “Ale” Villarreal [bass, piano, backing vocals] (16 years old). They made two EPs, Escape the Mind in 2015 and Mayday this year (although it is going to turn into their third full album next year when the other 6 songs get released), two albums are XXI Century Blood from 2017 and their concept album Queen of the Murder Scene from 2018. Singles are this Metallica cover, Narcisista, and some of the songs they released recently before the rest of the Mayday EP came out, Martirio, Choke and Evolve. I think only Narcisista and Enter Sandman are proper standalone singles then. They also played many other covers since they started, most notably from Muse, you should definitely check out their live performance of Hysteria at Liceo, Ale was only 10 years old and she mastered that bass line, incredible!

Thanks to the collaboration with The Warning & Alessia, this is by far the best re-envisioned version of an all-time classic. From the haunting vocals to the epic drums by Pau plus she gives us a "Sinister Smile", see if you can find it. The cinematography of the video itself is without question a work of art.

I love everything about this! The Villarreal sisters' voices blend really well with Alessia's. Their harmonies are spectacular. Their arrangement of this timeless classic is off the charts. Their video is amazing: Legendary work here. I appreciate all of their HARD WORK! Grammy Award winning artist Alessia Cara is more of a sultry soulful Pop singer/songwriter. She and The Warning share the same international agent who suggested that she collaborate with TW. So with very little time, TW jumped at the opportunity and rearranged the song, recorded the music and vocals; all in less than a week! This song is part of Metallica’s Blacklist album. Alessia Cara participated via zoom as she is in Canada. She is a gramy award winning pop star. The collaboration came about because TW and AC share the same management agency. An amazing reimagined classic!
