They have so much fantastic original music(close to 50 songs) you need to dive in. I'm going to see them live Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for the 11th, 12th and 13th times in the last 15 months in 8 states. They are everything live
The projection on the wall came about because this was made/filmed during the virus and the 2 parties never even met in person during the making of this video. Alessia Cara was in Canada and The Warning were in Mexico and they couldn't travel. I will second the recommendation to watch the live version from Teatro Metropolitan, CDMX.
Thanks for the shoutout! I think The Warning is a fantastic band. You should run the Teatro Metropolitan songs by the other 1-1/2 brothers - 'Disciple', 'Evolve', 'Animosity', to name a few.
Mexican rock band + Canadian pop singer + American metal song = Awesomeness! If you guys do some more, I highly recommend anything from the Teatro Metropolitan performance, especially "Disciple" and "Evolve."
As others have said, anything from the Teatro Metropolitan show is 110% on fire, including their live version of this one. Someone said it's more of an upgrade that a cover.
Looks like no one’s mentioned that this remake was done at the invitation from Metallica for their Blacklist Album. The 30th Anniversary of the Black Album, in which Enter Sandman first appeared. The instructions to the 50+ artists participating were to change up the song however you want, just don’t change the lyrics. The Warning’s effort is perhaps the most altered re-working of an original song on the Blacklist album.
They created this remotely via the Internet during the Covid lockdowns with Alessia being in Toronto, Canada and The Warning being in Monterrey, Mexico.under a deadline of ten days from the concept to mastering. The Warning had just finished working with David Bendeth on their Error album and I believe he did the final mix of the song as well.
Thanks for the reaction, they do an even better version live, with Cara singing harmonies on a backtrack, at a concert called Live at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX in Aug 2022. They have released 13 songs, individually, from this pro shot concert, and each video is outstanding!! These ladies are the bomb on stage!!!🔥⚡️
TW and Alessia had 10 days to rip this rendition of *Enter Sandman* from the ether and make it a darker, more eerie, and more haunting lullaby than the original metal version... this was done because they, and many other artists, were invited by Metallica to take one of the songs from the original "Black" album, keep the lyrics and change it up how ever you like... play it backwards, upside down, whatever... this was all for the 30th anniversary of the "Black" album... all the submissions from 50someodd artists were put on the 2021 "The Metallica Blacklist" album... the proceeds from the album sales are split 50/50 with half going to Metallica's "All Within My Hands Foundation" and the other half being donated to a charity of the participating artists' choice. this 60+ year old rocker loves both versions of *Enter Sandman* but this one by TW and Alessia gets more airtime these days 😹 welcome to the rabbit hole! i've been in it since like 2012 or so... ain't ready to leave, yet... nope! nope! nope! not gonna! LOL TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
Welcome to The Warning guys. There is a lot of really good material in their catalog for you to consider. I have to admit, I am not a Metallica fan, and I was sick of this song, until this version came along. A lullaby where Alessia very sweetly puts you to bed, then Dany rouses the troops, Pau shares a little prayer, and the angel chorus comes to sing you to sleep, then Boom, the hammer drops. I think of this very much as the female version of the tale. So good. Bad ass indeed. Delicate, powerful, soothing, strong, gentle, fierce-all at the same time. I love this one. I never knew I needed Sandman in half-time. But I sure know that now.
I can tell you guys will love most of their work, they shine on every song and they rock hard. Best trio around anywhere, hope you continue to check them out.
I absolutely love this group. They have a killer catalog. It's all worth checking out. I enjoyed your video and have to ask - is that a EOD bomb suit on that Blackbeard flag in the background? It looks so cool- almost like the Battle Tribe flag, but different. I hit that sub button for more. 🙂
This is a band you absolutely want to see live!! They not only give an unbelievable show but the way they engage their fans is incredible as well. They are a next-level band and they make you be a next-level crowd. Don't miss the chance to see them live!.
Love your reaction great job and yes keeping it in the family makes it even better . Mexico loves their 3 beautiful talented sisters. Viva Mexico 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
Great reaction and subscribed for more The Warning DPA Goddesses. Now Disciple from Teatro Metropolitan CDMX live concert from last August so you'll get an idea of their original music! FYI they trade off vocals but not going to tell you who to see if you figure it out 😁
I can only really say what everyone else has said, no point repeating it apart from that it’s good to see you guys appreciate their work; they have worked their little butts off to get how they are now from where you saw that 2014 cover! More from The Warning please 🙏🏻
the all-female rock group , called The Warning, for my taste is a rare mix of legendary rock groups like Suzi Quatro, Joan Jett and the black hearts and Heart. greetings from Mexico.
About a year after the original cover in 2014 , they switched to doing original music releasing 2 EP's and 2 albums independently, including an award winning video funded through, family, sponsors and one the crowd funding apps for the Title track of their 1st Album XXIst Century Blood. The song written by a Middle Schooler Pau in 2016 was scathing commentary on the impact of Social media on modern society. The video perfectly compliments the song in its dystopian visuals. It sucked me down a rabbit hole I have never gotten out of. After rejecting several label offers, Dani's disdain for the industry's representatives evident in the second TedX appearance. Their third Album is with Lava records who they did finally sign with after a seven month negotiation. Error and Queen of the Murder scene are superb albums.
I have no problem saying that this is better than the original, especially live. Yup, I said it. And if you want to hear how devasting they are live, listen to Atlas Rise from their Whiskey A Go Go show. If you listen to it, keep in mind that this was the end of a 2 hour set. Amazing stuff.
The Warning was tasked by Metallica with less than a week’s notice to reimagine this rock classic. No other such cover even comes close to topping it and many feel that it opens the song for a new audience altogether who may prefer it to the original. This is what these girls do, make exceptional, well-crafted music that gets in your brain and your heart. There is not one note, one rest, one moment in their music that doesn’t receive complete attention, creativity, and passion from all 3 of them, and it shows.
Dudes, there are about 4 versions of every song on the latest album, Error. There are some official music videos (suggest: Evolve), live produced versions (concert in CDMX), basement live versions, lyric videos, and fan videos from live concerts (there are even soundcheck videos which are great). It is all great.
I got one for you. A Pink Floyd song done by the Symphonic Metal band, Nightwish. It is more of a TRIBUTE, than a cover. Nightwish, HIGH HOPES, End Of An Era 2005 concert. As a old guy who grew up during the 60s Rock genre, I am a big PF fan......and I like the Nightwish version more. I think you'll enjoy it.
Have you tried Mostly Autumn? They are influenced by Pink Floyd but also have various other classic rock and prog influences. Been going about 25 years now. About 60-40 female-male lead vocals. I would describe them overall as melodic classic/prog rock.
this version they were asked by metallica to do it from Metallicas blacklist album which is the 30th anniversary of the black album and out of the 70 covers on the cd this was their favorite one
Great reaction. Be prepared, The Warning Army will be flooding your comment section soon, guaranteed. If you liked this version, check out their live version they just released at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX. It's better. Or anything live by them. As all Warning fans say, "You have been Warned!"
Alright guys you made a subscriber out of me. As a long time Warning fan you guys are going to be in for a fun ride. These ladies are going straight to the top of the Rock world.
I will also second (or third or fourth or whatever it's at now) the recommendation to check out any and/or all of the songs from the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 2022. With almost 50 original tracks to their credit and not a single bad song in the bunch, you just can't go wrong. However, I would suggest either Disciple or Dust to Dust or Evolve as a good entry point into their music.
To continue with the Metallica covers. Take a look at Nothing Else Matters by Postmodern Jukebox. Preferably the version with the then 15 year old Kaeyra as a singer (back then she used her real name Caroline Baran)
ENTER SANDMAN de The Warning un cover original y el mejor tema del black list, un tema que puede ser incluso mejor que el original,The Warning es como los grandes y viejos grupos del buen Rock, talentosos, con pasion y dando todo en el escenario
I would suggest that you listen to the Tidal Rising documentary. I t will give you insight in to how much work that they do to get where they are now and why.🤟❤️⚡⚡⚡😊
Try Voyager, the Australian rockers. They were at Eurovision this year. They’ve had 8 studio albums. You could start with Promise the Eurovision entry, although they have better songs in their catalogue.
Holy mackerel, it’s been 8 days, you need to check out another song by The Warning. How about Disciple from the Teatro Metropolitan. Buckle up. You can thank me later.
couple of things for you guys to check out . Alien weaponry and there songs Tangaroa(god of the sea)and Tu tangata(people eater)and this Parihaka is a story about an indigenous Maori settlement near Taranaki, New Zealand which stood for pacifism (passive resistance) against the acts of the crown during 1881. About 1600 troops marched on 5th of November,1881 towards the Parihaka settlement. The children welcomed the soldiers with songs and women served bread. Te whiti and Tohu lead the settlement to stand with peace than violence.more about this on you tube peace brothers

And to add to that, because of all of the fuss the lockdown caused they ended up with only 10 days to get it in the can and over to them for approval!
Appreciate your insight! - A
Thanks for reacting to The Warning. There’s a lot of great Warning songs ahead.

The end riff on the cover is almost heavier than Metallica’s original version in my humble opinion. The drums are killing it.
That shit was dope! Thanks for watching! - A
Yeah, Pau's playing in half-time while Dany and Ale are doing the riff at original speed.
Try Voyager, the Australian rockers. They were at Eurovision this year. They’ve had 8 studio albums. You could start with Promise the Eurovision entry, although they have better songs in their catalogue.

Reaction for VOB please.. Band metal from indonesia 😊
Actually prefer this to the Metallica original
