As a Packers fan i watched James Jones go from having the worst hands on the team to the best hands on the team. Dude dropped so many easy passes early and by the later years of his career he was making the craziest one handed catches, over the top fades and back shoulder bullets from Aaron.

James Jones is easily one of my top five Packer wide receivers and the crazy thing is, he never had a 1000 yard season. However, he was just such a reliable possession receiver. If GB had third and short or third and intermediate, it felt like A-Rod always found JJ for the first down and he would catch it.
Also, just a great come-up story. From battling homelessness in his youth to ending up as one of the top targets for one of the best QBs ever. Just always feels like he had the right mindset and demeanor for the game.

ATL is the acid test for that GB D line and this team to show they can consistently stop the run!
This team is inexperienced yes but they got talent.
Jordon doesn't have to be Aaron he just needs to protect the ball.
The highest QB passer rating 123.2 with 0 turnovers week 1.
He's shown poise in the pocket. He continues to make good reads going through his progression.
Also he has shown the ability to use his legs when he needs to do so.
Jordan just needs to not be the reason the packers lose the game!
Long as that D Line can stop the run consistently.
If so the only big glaring weakness is the backend (Gutty needs to get some help now).
O Line is a brick wall. Zach Tom another stud to go with Jenkins and Bak.
Myers needs to play allot damn better than he has lately. Still only 2 pressures allowed vs Bears.
They got a strong running game if Matt would just get the ball in Jones hands.
The WR/TE room is fine with Watson, Dobbs, Reed and Musgrove leading the way.
The D Line is the big surprise but Wyatt and Slaton looked marvelous last week.
That helps free up Kenny to do his work. If this team can finally stop the run look out!
The pass rush is going to be very very good once Gary playing fulltime again.
They had 36 pressures vs the Bears 4 sacks with another by Gary called back on a penalty.
The corners are great with Rasuel and Jaire.
Linebackers Quay and Devondre got to play better but the talent is there.
Although Savage looked great in week one there is little else in that room.
Ford looked bad last week and both were benched last year for poor play.
Barry playing aggressive with these guys is the key to their success.
Special teams looked great punter averaged 50 yds on 5 punts.
Carlson hit a 52 yard FG and 5 extra points. Jaden Reed had a nice return on a punt.
People going to pay for disrespecting this team when Arod left.
They going to see there is allot of talent on this team, not just one guy!
2-0 on the road to start the season would certainly go a long way to a possible playoff berth.

    • @omergaudetjrpackers4life
      @omergaudetjrpackers4life Год назад +1

Colin is just another hater and he'll eat crow before seasons end. As will many who disrespected the packers after Arod left. They all going to find out how damn good the supporting cast is. It's not just one guy! Plus the intangible of team chemistry they have now that was lacking before because of Arods big EGO.
If this team can consistently stop the run look out. Slaton and Wyatt looked marvelous last week. Which helps free up Kenny to do his work. The pass rush looks awesome 36 pressures vs Bears in week one. That room is deep. Just wait until Gary is able to go full tilt! The only other glaring weakness after that is the back end. Hopefully Gutty will add more help. Savage was best player on the field last week. But both him and Ford were benched last year for poor play. The rest of them are low draft picks or UFAs. We'll see what Johnson Jr the 7th round pic can do. Corners and linebackers are great on this team - Jaire, Rasuel, Quay and Devondre. The O line is a brick wall only Myers the weak link. Zach Tom is another stud to compliment Jenkins and Bak. The running game will be fine if Matt would just give A Jones the damn ball more! The WR/TE group is fine with Watson, Doubs, Reed and Musgrove leading the way. Even the special teams looked good in week one. The punter averaged 50 yards a kick on 5 punts. Carlson hit a 52 yarder and his 5 extra points in windy Chicago. Plus Jaydon Reed had a long return on a punt as well.
With Minny now 0-2, Chicago looking like they did last week vs the Pack. It looks like Det and GB are the front runners to win this division at this point. So all they really have to do is take care of business vs the Lions and they can win this division outright never mind a wild card.
I am 59 and lived both Favre and Arods careers. Loved them both. But this team won only 2 championships in 3 trips to the superbowl in that run. Disappointing. But other than NE they have been the most successful team in football the past 30 years. Why so many want them to fail now. Wouldn't it be so ironic if Love could turn into another HOF QB! He sure showing he is on the right path so far.
Atl is the acid test for this D line. The have a potent run game and an excellent O line. I fully expect the GB O line to dominate the Atl D Line. For that pass rush to keep Ritter under duress from the first snap to the last snap. If the Pack wins and looks good this week I am very confident they will be a playoff team come seasons end.
Watson was limited yesterday a positive sign, so he may go on Sunday we'll see. Quay should pass concussion protocol today. Bak didn't practice all week again but hopefully he'll be on the field Sunday. Gary has been limited all week but I think their just being cautious with him after the ACL. They know he is their stud. A Jones and Watson are the two big question marks. Matt saying Emanual Wilson the rookie who shined in preseason would be first man up if Jones is out.

Don’t mean to sound like a hater but this loss was kinda on Jordan. His false start because he and the center weren’t on point. As result Jordan crosses the line without the ball. Than on that final drive he over threw two wide open receivers.
What I give Jordan is he isn’t turning the ball over.

Ted Thompson's refusal to bring back James Jones is proof that they didn't care what Rodgers wanted in fact purposely didn't resign a WR because they knew Rodgers loved the guy. James Jones was one of my favorite players and I was over the hill excited when we picked him back up. Dropping James Jones because they wanted to develop Geronimo Allison and Jeff Janis?? How'd that work out for TT?

    • @chriskay1449

BS. Did you listen to James at all. One of ther receivers they tired to develop was Devante Adams. Remember him? he never said one word about Geronimo. Funny how you completely ignored that. How did Devante work out?
What this is proof of was how Roidgers was holding the team hostage. Rodgers shoewd to be stunting the grtowth of other WR's because he would only throw to his guys. But you are a Rodgers ball washer because you completely ignored James talking about Devante Adams and replaced him with a guy James wasn't talking about.

In Joe Namath's day, most QBs threw more interceptions because the defensive rules were much different than today. Defenders could do almost anything they wanted to the QBs and receivers back in the '60s and '70s. I wish analysts and commentators would stop ignoring that fact.

    • @kevinhouse4376
      @kevinhouse4376 Год назад

@@TahiriVeila13ABY I said, "In Namath's day . . .," but I wasn't just speaking specifically about Joe. What I said is true in that the liberal defensive rules often led to more interceptions (and a lower pass completion percentage), which commentators frequently ignore when comparing players of that era to those of today. Johnny Unitas finished with 290 TDs and 253 interceptions along with a pass completion percentage of .54.6 percent, and many considered Unitas to be the greatest QB of all time before Montana came along. But with regards to Namath (who did indeed have a worse interception percentage than other great QBs of the day), I'm sure even his stats would have been at least somewhat better had the defensive rules been like today. As an aside, it amazes me that Bart Starr threw 15 TD passes to only three interceptions in 10 playoff games playing under those rules. In some ways, he was the Montana of his era.

That was the year our recievers could'nt beat the press coverage. Started out like 4 and 0 or something then fell apart. Teams pressed our recievers and they couldn't respond with separation. Greg Jennings was our star reciever when JJ left.

The years after was the one that made me glad I was wrong. I remember thinking, "why does everyone like Davante with all these drops". Thankfully, he just demolished defenses every season after

This kinda proves that the packers didn’t give Rodgers the same input other legendary QBs have. The fact he wanted Jones to stay on yet they said no because they knew Aaron would want him out there. So dumb

No, players can talk to other teams' players, but organizations can't talk to another team's player.

James seems like a sweet guy, but stat checking these years because I honestly thought I was wrong in remembering how good he was as a Packer, but the only stat he lead the team in was in 2015 for yds, and by a WHOPPING 61yds. Not catches, TDs. Like come on James. If you're gonna come on saying this, be right.
