Hi there. I play drums in a band. Sometimes I use my electronic drum kit at gigs, and I wanted to start using headphones while playing live, as well as having a monitor speaker next to me. Do you think these would do the job, as I still want to be able to hear the band as well as what's in the headphones. Thanks.

    -Very fast item spec rundown

    -Good vocalization

-Cristal clear and direct message ✔
    -High-quality editing

-Quick video and to the point ✔
-You told us your actual opinion ✔
-Not forcing any downsides ✔ (I think atm is rare to see someone doing a review and not straight up hating on the fact that the item is actually good, most seem to try to force downsides)
-But also not trying to force any upside ✔

In love with the visuals, and got me excited for the sr850 I ordered. I appreciate that you also put in a sample track you made using the headphones. It wasn't that exciting I think esp mixing-wise (great beat tho!) but I guess that means you must have heard them very clearly on the headphones in spite of the relatively low volume. Thanks!

Broke my monitor headphones after 4 years and needed to find a replacement. Found the samson SR850 and ordered them. They arrived a few days ago and started burning them in. Last night, I tried them out, connected it to a DAC, played a few tracks and was so amazed at the sound it was producing! Daft Punk never sounded that good before in my ears and I could hear separation between sounds for the first time without using an equalizer. These are so comfortable as well. I'll most probably buy a couple more as spares because right now it's really cheap to buy. So thank you for the review. U were one of the few people I watched before buying these cans. :)

This is the prefect headphone under 40 dollars. Being semi open back headphone, the sound is very realistic. The highs are very bright. The mid is prefect, and the bass is not that punchy but you can hear it upto ~30HZ(which is fine for most uses). If the surrounding environment is quiet, it is suitable for all purpose.

genuine question: does it ever get annoying having the long hair inbetween your ears and the headphones? idk i just feel like it might mute the sound a bit or be physically irritating

I am struggling now which one to buy, my first goal was to go for Sennheiser HD 596 which are over £100 on ebay but these ones are under £50 and I don't know, should I buy these ones if they promise a similar sound quality or should I go with Sennheiser HD 596 ( regards to the point where u said that Samson SR850 are far better then Sennhiser HD 451). I know the 451 are not the same like 596 but are Sennhieser ..... hmmm give me hint ;) Bdw , cool video bro, definitely u are one of PETER MCKINNON'S subscribers :)) good job and keep up! Just subscribed to you :)

The HD 598s are out of date now. These are a much better option. (Also, I only really discovered him last week lmao, but I do really like his videos now) and thanks

haha gotcha , really good quality content mate , doesn't matter for me if u are inspired from his videos or not as long as I like watching them , hope u reach 1000000 subs as fast as him ;) ;) I found you yesterday Bdw and yeah u put alot of work in there , keep up ;) And yes Sennheiser 598SR are quite old but still in a good shape , but I am looking for comfort and sound quality , and you say that Samson sr850 are far better then Sennheiser 596SR, init? did u try them cuz I didn't and I am so confuse now...

Yeah, I used to own a pair of 598s before my HD6xxs, which are the slightly higher end ones. The sr850s are like a cheaper version of the 650s imo. Really really good value. As for comfort, I have been wearing them for the last two hours mixing a beat lol. I have two piercings in my ear and they still remained comfortable throughout. Also, lol, I'd love to get 1 million as quick as him lmao, and thanks again.

Thank you so much for the detailed answer , well I am thinking to buy both , test, and return one of them, bdw I don't have an AMP, so plugged direct into my computer or phone it might be a small difference because the Samson ones have 32ohm and the Sennheiser 50ohm... so they might have a little less volume... But i will give it a try ;) cheers

Yeah, that's probably best. The 598s do have some nice features, like the detachable cable, which would've been nice on the 850s, but I guess that's one of the cost-cutting measures that they took. And you're welcome

    Hello,
I was wondering if you could help me. I’m thinking of buying a pair of low-end headphones. I would use them mostly for watching videos and films, gaming and listening to music. I mostly listen to hip-hop, especially Eminem, and British grime music, but I sometimes listen to some electronic music, like dubstep or trap, and some 60s to 80s rock. I will mainly use them at home because for travel I usually use my earbuds, but considering that my last headphones died due to the jack bending and part of the cable breaking when it got caught on a table, I appreciate wireless or at least good quality cables and jack. I’ve narrowed down my list to the SR850, the Ausdom M06 and the Audio-Technica ATH-M20X, which one would you recommend that caters best towards the music I listen?
PS: great review, very nicely edited. And thanks in advance for your help

Thanks, sorry I missed your comment. I also mostly listen to Hip Hop, and I like them a lot for this. I would suggest this pair if you value quality, especially if you use them at home. My second recommendation would be the Ausdom M06s, and I can't recommend the M20Xs. Outperformed and overpriced.

You should do a review on the 860’s! They’re now about $50, and they’re supposed to be a upgrade to the 850’s.

Bub, if i'm just trying to get my wife to stop blasting the TV through the house, what's the most comfortable headphones I can get her? i don't care about how it's connected - though wireless would be a plus (needs to be low latency if it is), but the question is: what pair of headphones for watching movies and tv can i buy her that are so comfortable - that she could never say she won't wear them because her head hurts?
