@@RoyBennett-dz2cq Nope Keith and Mick founded the Blue Boys seven months BEFORE Jones turned up and asked if he could join their band. Always was and still is Keith's band. You have been lied to,, Roy...
It's clearly the person took the recording of the vocals together, Mick + Keith and removed Mick's as best he could. Whatever. I'll take any version of Gimme Shelter
It's definitely Keith. I remember buying a bootleg in the late 70's with this version on it. Mick was in Australia filming "Ned Kelly", so Keith laid a few guide vocals on some of the tracks of Let it Bleed. I always though this was the better mix even though it's a reference mix. Go listen to "You Got the Silver". It's pretty obvious this is Keith singing on this rough mix.
This is definitely just Keith. He’s singing like mick though which singers can do but it’s clearly his timbre. Idk why Keith shared the publishing he wrote everything.
Why is he😮destroying the brand then? The Stones accomplished it all in a decade. Retirement then I 4:29 embarrassingly awful solo projects from Jagger but the honor of what at on time was truly the best Rock band of all would remain we have 40 years of compromise and garbage as tours come and go. Stones are the British Eagles and Beach Boys at once.
Just found your channel and subbed a few days ago. You've been dropping some great rarely heard Stones gems. Thanks.

Definitely Richards on lead Vocal.
Sounds like the harmony.vocal of keith singing along with mick's lead (that has been removed)
I think it's Mick and Keith together.
Its Richards and Jagger but it sounds like Keith sang most of the second verse on his own with Jagger and Richards singing the chorus and final verse.
wheres the take where the guitar broke

Keith has performed it on lead vocals with the Winos but this is Mick.
I think your right, clearly Jagger vocal line here.
No it’s Keith double tracked on vocals.
Can anyone verify this is Keith
I'm no expert and have no reason to disbelieve
But seems hard to tell
No offense
thanks still

It's totally Keith. No question.
Thats Keith I actually like his voice its pure and rockin.
It’s both Mick and Keith singing in unison.
