Teen Calls 911 Because Dad Took Away iPhone

  • An Ohio teenager called the cops on her dad after he took away her iPhone. "My father took my property, which is an $800 phone that doesn't belong to him,” the teenager told 911. “He didn't buy it.” Officers with the South Euclid Police Department responded to the scene at the Robertson home and sided with the dad. They told the teen that “having a cellphone under the age of 18 is a ‘privilege’ and not a ‘right’ as she believes.” Police did not pursue the case after that. #InsideEdition

When she's 18 and wants to see what "FREEDOM" looks like and she's back knocking on daddy's door 2 weeks later because she's cold, hungry, dirty, and CAN'T PAY HER PHONE BILL maybe she'll appreciate him more.

Any man can be a father, but it takes a real man to be a Dad. Be grateful that your Dad cares!!! Many 16 year old young lady's do not have a Dad around that cares. You think he enjoys arguing with you?! Dealing with police?! It's a positive energy draining sacrifice that he makes for your benefit. If he didn't care, he'd let these dirty dogs out here have you a knocked-up single Mom!!! Stop being an entitled brat! I can tell that he is a composed, centered and grounded man who controls his emotions-biggest sign of a real man. Your Dad is being a mentor. This is normal for Dad's who care!

@Jacob No she didn't. 🙄 Mommy paid for it. I know that for a fact because no phone company lets you sign a phone contract at 16, you have to be 18 due to legality issues or have parents sign with you. If her dad didn't sign he legally doesn't have to allow the phone to be in his house.
Oh, also. If you actually knew the whole story, all he asked to know was what she was doing online and to hand her phone over so he can be sure she is safe online and she locked him out. So he took the phone since she wanted to act like a little brat. And just like the officer said, it was 100% legal and she needs to get over her entitlement.

Maybe my family just had more respect. The only thing that would be taken away were electronics I didn't buy...that's more reasonable anyway. Just take what you did buy her and keep her grounded to the house. All I know is lowkey that was worse because I could see what my friends were doing and I was reminded that I was missing out lmao, and your friends don't really talk to you when you're grounded and they're out having fun.
