The 70's was the best decade ever for tv
This is an Australian Classic whose Actor's, Producers & Director's pioneered the way for the shows of today with hard in your face topics... For this I Thank You...
i had almost forgotten what great actors , ron shand, bunny brooke and pat mcdonald where . thank you for the memories
A brilliant show-like of never to repeated on any media--
Good on you.....great to see classic Australian tv....
This show in my view was bold cutting edge television which was before its time...i was only young at the time of the bombing which made many speculate on who was responsible, i remember it well, it took on roles that made people think for that reason alone i wish they would re-run it... For actors like Bunny, Pat, Ron, Moya, Elaine, Tom, plus many more became extended members of my family (or shadowed family members)... For the many actors that have passed please R.I.P... This is an Australian classic whose Actor's, Producers & Director's pioneered the way for today's shows with hard in your face topucs... For this i Thank You...
and they've never really tackled these subject matters again. One of the great things this show had was humour, even in the face of tragic things like murders and rape. They've released a lot of these uncut episodes on DVD. I have the pantyhose strangler - all 32 uncut episodes.
Where's Abigail?
Abigail trying to seduce Don, one of the funniest scenes ever.
"you dirty dirty little queer"
no Abigail?
What happen to Abigail???
Pat McDonnald will always be Aunt Fiona to me.
hmmm...they didnt invite Abigail.
Ha, we can't do that anymore, because the wind is low, it turns me on... this Commonly wealth is, well, my surroundings got pretty sick, and they watch 'Prison Break', endlessly..... how long does it take to get of Alcatraz, you know, they've done it. So if you combine the FIRST half of the sixties and beyond this key year (of which we only heard, 'burning records, and a new Concile, and the first satellite broadcasting... how DID our parents experience this? We STILL CAN ASK them!!!
BLOODY EKK LUCY
Vivienne Garret - what a babe!
Having discovered Number 96 by watching this episode, I must say I am most unimpressed. While the actors seem to enjoy a certain candour, as well as a very supportive audience, the show's writing suffers from a lack of imagination.
Even the American remake couldn't revive this gobbler.
