What I love about this song is that, while his heart is broken, there's a part of him who knows he has to move on. "The truth is none of these streets lead back to you." He's not in denial, and that suggests that part of him knows that to move forward with his life, he needs to move on. I find myself rooting for that part of him to win out.
Being paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you, and being in denial doesn't mean you're not right. Unless you're a literal God, you can't know if "one of these streets" leads back to her or not. Just food for thought.

This song perfectly sums up a girl I was head over for when I was 19 we went to highschool together I hung out with her almost daily. Knew her family me and her brother got along when I finally got the courage to take the next step she completely destroyed me. Turned me cold as ice. I spent my 20's never interested in any real relationship with a woman other than sex. I'm in my late 30's now and I've moved on and went on about my life I can't help but to reflect on that time in my life.
