I was only 6.5/7 years old during the latter 80's, and even then this song brings back memories of long warm summer care-free days, slap bracelets, family and friends, and the endless possibilities that seemed at our fingertips then. What a different time that was. No internet, no phones; just our imaginations. And I think that's what made the 80's so timeless: All we had was each other and the imaginations and creativity within ourselves to create a fun and beautiful life.
Luke Strecker your words have me speechless...
Those were the best days of our lives, my friend
I know exactly what you guys mean. I was born in 82 but remember 1985-89 very well. The feelings and the vibe were almost heavenly. One could argue that everything was even more vibrant experiencing it at such a young age, our young minds soaking everything detail in like a sponge. Our first experiences and emotions in life were all 80s. Yes I remember the slap bracelets very well among a whole host of other things. I remember riding my bike around our neighborhood street in the summer of 87 and 88 as well. I swear the sun was a different tone back then. I know there was high solar flare activity going on the 80s...so the tone may have in fact been different. Never the less there was something just magical about it. Very special time. I miss it so much sometimes. Then the 90s hit, culture and society began it's trip straight to hell.
Luke, you speak the truth, my friend. What magical times those were. :)
Id give anything to go there, sadly born too late in '99
Call me selfish but i very much like the fact that retrowave is not that mainstream and it feels like a beautiful secret kept among the best kind of people
Exactly how I feel
Same, I am so happy that music genres like Synthwave, Retrowave etc are not mainstream
True words mate
Well put my fellow Synthwaver
I'm glad I got to see Timecop1983 at a small venue in LA. Loved the intimate vibe and of course the music.
"Wonder how this song is gonna sound."
*First note plays*
*Starts having emotions that I never knew I had*
XD
Too true
Agree 💯
I played the first note, again and again, to feel it again and again
That's how 80s music does it causes chillbumps all over u😜🤓🙉🙊
In my opinion, this is probably the greatest synthwave track I've heard. The piano tones, the atmospheric melancholy that's simultaneously longing, nostalgic, sad, and triumphant - it sounds like thinking of the very first person you ever had THOSE kinds of feelings for, now such a long time ago...reminiscing about everything that was and everything that could have been. If only things had worked out and they were still in your life... Even painful memories become golden in the light of memory.
These were the words I couldn't figure out how to write! Very well said, thank you.
McKalin Olsen thank you. 🙌🏽
This is not just one of the best synthwave songs I have ever heard but simply just one of the very best songs I have ever heard. So underrated synthwave is
junto al running in the night with you de fm84 y el memories de the midnight, esas serían mi top 3.... te escribo en español por tu nombre ;). Saludos
@@javigalindo8560 I think this and Lost Boys by The Midnight are the best
This hands down one of the greatest songs I've ever heard in my life.
Same ❤
Elizabeth try pink Floyd
@@KazzArie Not even in the same league as TimeCop. Popular does not equal Better.
allforapint saw em in 88 and 92 at the Oakland coliseum. It’s a different genre, sure, but damn most of it is just as amazing as the first time I heard it
Ditto!
R.I.P Patrick Swayze. You're a Legend.
The Name is Dalton (Roadhouse 1989)
Missed Forever (1952 - 2009) 😢🙏
RIP to everyone ever lost in this existence we can can never understand on this side.
Unbelievably good. It is a criminal act that this genre doesnt get the credit it deserves.
AMEN💯💯💯💯💯👌👌👌👌👌🍺🍺🍺🔥🔥🔥
The little engine that could.
hay un dicho que dice DE LO BUENO POCO , translation = the good things of the life are exclusive and less, saludos.
Very well said
Beautiful You've got it, it's so unbelievable.
First time ever hearing this song today. Happy, sad, hopeful, nostalgic, grateful, calm and at peace. All in one go. What a song 👍

Timecop1983 - quality delivered guaranteed.
always
I've come to the conclusion that being a child of the 80's is not just nostalgic, it's a state of mind, to be a dreamer, to live in a care free world full of adventure, where good always triumphs over evil and friends and family are forever young.
May the neon lights never go out!
I'll let you know when i've finished the time machine, My stop before I hand it over will be 23 of April 1980...
Amen to that my friend.
@@ZXSPEX Still looking for a spare Flux capacitor mate! I will let you know.😜

Patrick Swayze, we miss you deeply, can't believe its been 10 years since we lost him, the World is a lesser place without you (1952 - 2009) 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

So Glad I found this Channel. I was Depressed but hearing this music makes me feel so much better.
+IronDream234 Same here.
I was born in 78. I wish this had been a part of my childhood. It sparks memories that didn't exist but are longed for.....
Me too .... know what you mean ❤️🙏🏻
Also born in '78. Only those of us who lived through that time know what it feels like to hear this.
Patrick Swayze we remember you!
he was so awesome
Wolverines!!!
RIP Orry Main
Swayze was great in everything he did. He killed it in Roadhouse, Dirty Dancing, Ghost, and Point Break. He always put a lot of soul in his performances. Just an all around great talent.
Some of the best comments here on RUclips. These (in addition with his pictures in this video) made me smile big time, thank you! Patrick forever in our hearts! It's hard seeing him in pics and films sometimes tho, because he was one of those who defined quite a big part of my childhood and youth, and esp because, yes, he put so much soul into each performance he had. Just a look in his eyes said everything, that he lived the characters and didn't just play them. A look into his eyes often gets me teary-eyed a little because they mirrored his soul. I truly believe he was a good-hearted human being. He deserved so much better.
This song brought back so many memories...played it while driving at night...and for some reason, tears just slowly started to fall..
Aint no shame in it

Seriously.. I'm just sitting here, tears streaming, happy freaking tears, so nostalgic.
Seriously man, why don't these get mainstream?!?! just listening to these gives you your life back.
Because music corporations want the kids to spend like they'll be young forever.
if it becomes mainstream, it will be butchered, bastardized, and lose all of its magic.
Still a hint of magic
Keep this song quiet. Let us from the 80's enjoy it.
This is one of the most beautiful songs that was ever made if not the most beautiful.
I'm getting m83 vibe. this track is a stunner!!
Same here, I love it!
Totally thought the same thing
SO true haha maybe that is why I like it so much
gothicvillasgaming Is Tom Delonge making the "whoa" sounds?
They do!!
Songs like this put me into a meditative trance where I think about every good thing that has happened to me in the past and every positive thing I want to happen to me in the future. Timecop1983 somehow transcending time.
So dope that you listen to synthwave! Love your videos 🔥
❤
Breathe in, breathe out
Your lips so cold
Your street, our house where we begin
We're kids and you're whole
We won't be alone, no one can ever know
Standing you're what I'm falling for
But you'll never put it down
We know, we grow, we fall ,we crawl, to change proclaim, for this, we miss, to breathe, deceive, from fate to fate, exist , insist , we push , we lust
We know, we grow, we fall ,we crawl, to change, proclaim, for this, we miss, to breathe, deceive, from fate to fate, exist , insist , we push , we lust
These days, and these nights are all us
All us is all we need
Don't speak our words are for us
For lovers till the end
We won't be alone, no one can ever know
For once and all, criminals and lovers fall
Standing stood on the dark side,
But we'll never run it down
We know, we grow, we fall ,we crawl, to change proclaim, for this, we miss, to breathe, deceive, from fate to fate, exist , insist , we push , we lust
We know, we grow, we fall ,we crawl, to change, proclaim, for this, we miss, to breathe, deceive, from fate to fate, exist , insist , we push , we lust
These days, and these nights are all us
All us is all we need
Don't speak, our words are for us
For lovers, till the end.
Rory thank you 🙏🏼 😭
If you love someone someday it can only touch your soul.
Hop! Wanna getting girls for this track
Thank you
Thanks
I love this song, I went walking and put it on my headphones and I got this amazing rush of nostalgia and emotion.
Cool Story Bro
Nostalgia hurts...
It really does hurt, i never thought of it that way.
strong isnt?
Rest well mr swayze. This was the best era in my lifetime. I was a kid, but so many good memories...
This song is beautiful and sad at the same time.
bittersweet
This is beautiful it does make me sad at times
Just close your eyes And feel it
This is one of the best songs I've ever had the pleasure to listen to. This is powerful, moving, harmonic, inspiring and chilling. I'm honestly in love.
A 95 baby but man, you watch these 80s movies and 90s movies and it’s sad that it’s over but we at least have these memories forever, timecop is the man and this is better than any other genre wave of music
When listening to this makes me so emotional. I wish I could travel back in time and hang in 80`s for a while. Watch the same movies like it was the first time, drive in cars from that era, play Nintendo or Commodore, hang out in the clubs, feeling numb of neon lights and signs, meet the people I`ve never seen since then. Can you imagine the absence of mobiles?
I can imagine, in fact. I was born in '83.
So was I :)
Sweet Jesus!
That`s why you are on the same frequency :D
Yep. The frequency of "Oldschool" lol
This song invokes memories of your first kiss. First love. Warm smiles from childhood summers in the 80’s. It stirs up cherished memories from a time that lasted forever. You can taste the 80’s with this song. Painfully beautiful. Forever 80’s.
This is one of my favourite songs. Love from India. This genre is very underrated...
Omg finally someone from India!!!!! I thought no one here listens to synthwave except me 😭😭
I haven't commented on RUclips Videos before but I felt like I should to this after listening to it for 4 consecutive days. The 80's vibes huh! Well I was born in the late 90's so at first I thought I might as well miss out on it. But! then Black Mirror happened! The episode San Junipero! The energy, the music, the lights and the sheer joy in the environment made me believe in something which I have never seen. The magical 80's where people just tried to "live" and not be alive. Then Stranger Things and voila! I started listening to more synth music. Everything about this song is pure gem, you can be speeding on the highway with this song and feel the wind blow on your face, you can feel it in a bar sitting quietly somewhere, you can even feel it on the terrace and just looking at the stars! But yeah! Don't forget, imagine all of this as if you are living in the 80's without your Mobile Phones and Social Media. Its just you and the world! Just you and the whole world!
I swear I listen to this song everyday
Am I supposed to feel all these bittersweet, whimsical nostalgic feels that make me wonder what could have been when I listen to this? Because that's exactly how I feel when I listen to this...
Yes, music like this invokes that which is deep within. Like its strumming us. I love all the overwhelming emotions and the tears that well up in my eyes. It feels good to feel again.
One of the best yet, music like this always makes me wish I could go back.
me me too
same here and I was born in 89'
Same here. We need to build a time machine. :)
I me me wish too.....

Definitely my favorite Dreamwave artist. Timecop1983 never fail to deliver!
This just makes you want to live back in the 80s. People were overall more genuine back then and the music that was made during that decade is just timeless... =D

This song 🎵 is magnificent. Thanks so much.
How is music as good as this even possible?
This will never get old to me.
This would even make it worth watching sappy romantic comedies by your manly self all alone, devolving into a soppy ball of tears
Art is defined by emotional content. This song is pure art.
The big Patrick Swayze
I cried so much the first time I heard this song. God gave us just one opportunity, so live each day as if it was the last and live it as it was the first as well.

OMG omg this is 10/10 god, 10/10. The timbre of the voice, the tempo of the song, the words. It seems like time has stopped and stretches a small stream of something far and perfect that wants this song to play in my head against the background always.
