I'm not sure how many people in the world will listen to this, or even get this, but to the artist, I just want to say that it is the rare gift to create something good in a world full of bad. Keep making your music; it makes the world a better place to be.
Amazing that I'm not the only one feeling this way...so soothing to listen to and taking a ride down memory lane, full of great memories of better days ❤
Sometimes we aren't okay but everythings going to be alright. Thanks for delivering the goods! Truckers keep everthing moving. We couldn't function without all of you.
I live in Ukraine, now we have a terrible war... But this collection of music is the best for me. I listen to it in the evenings to calm down, and in the car - to cheer up. This music brings me back to my childhood when I didn't have disturbing thoughts and the grass was greener than usual.
I hope you and your loved ones are doing OK. I would pray for you but I don't believe or practice. If only we could all get along and love one another. All these meaningless wars.
God stay with Ukrania. Continue Positive about life. I pray for war ends, this moment is time to spread good vibrations for Ukraine ❤ every human have the power.
According to Urban Dictionary, a time cop is "A person who enforces that an appropriate amount of time has been spent on each specific task." Thanks for being my time cop, Timecop1983, and making sure I spend an albums worth of time over and over again listening to good music.
I was only 6 in 1983, but I still remember a lot of the 80's culture and can identify with it strongly, more so than perhaps the 90's. Such a great decade in many ways.
I think it's because middle school is when we develop the mental autonomy to absorb things outside of our family like culture, music, and other things. It's pretty limited in practice, but we passively absorb a lot more than we could comprehend at that age.
The second track "Don't Let Go" had me in tears at work where I had to spend a few minutes to recompose myself. I think the song articulates the self-doubt and self-loathing of depression and the thought of suicide, but beautifully comforts the listener. The lyrics "This is not the end all, be all. This is not the last of one we know. This is not a change in fortune. This is life, live it, don't let go." I lack the diction to properly articulate how spot-on all this is and the message it conveys. Even in the worst pit of depression, it is not the rest of your life. There is a tomorrow if you allow there to be. You can change your life, can change your circumstances, and can even change the world. So don't let go! I still suffer from depression from time to time, but I can safely say I'm out of the pit and no longer feel the crushing weight of it all. My life is actually happy, but I never would have guessed it could be back in that black pit of depression. I've never had a song "speak" to me before, or one that connects with you on a fundamental level before this. Thank you for so beautifully articulating exactly what you need to hear in that situation. I also get the feeling this song comes from experience. Thanks again :-)
The more I listen to this album the better it gets!!! Just Awesome the mix of talent and sound of this music. You must listen in HQ Headphones and you will never come back.

i first found this genre when i was depressed, of course now it's gone i have a girlfriend and i'm "okay". But i still listen to it because it makes me forget about my troubles like it used to.
A kind of stumbled on this genre, and if the comments were disabled on this video, i would have thought i was in a minority of people who like this music. Its simply brilliant, and i would never have imagined there was such a cross section of people and ages who like it. Apologies for my rambling, but this is music to die for, and difficult to put in to words.:-)
With respect,I would'nt describe it as ''da shit'', its not innit bruv street music for hoodies, or anything connected with garage/drum and bass etc that can be hijacked with multiples remixes. Tbh, wouldnt have thought it would appeal to the ''audience'' that i have mentioned, any more than rock music does either.
Well I was a little high with this awesome music when I first wrote the comment, but let's say these old-school electronic instruments do have their simple charm. On one hand it's so easy to write them down because these are the legacy of the time when electronic instruments were primitive. But the point is, "primitive" does not equal "bad." Drums are one of the oldest instruments in the world, but a traditional music comprised almost entirely of drums touch us in a way that notes and chords simply can't. I think of synthpop the same way. Later technology gave electronic instruments a much more sophisticated and traditional sound, but there's a rough and visceral texture that the later instruments just don't have. They feel immediate and on-point all the time, just a single note of electronic pulse can be pleasurable.
Exactly, comrade, the path is this way... traveling to a dream time, although, normally, one dreams about the future (80s???????)... however... then it is a dream ''different'', so to speak...

2020 was the year I really discovered this type of music and discovered it deep. The three years following, it's the music I put up on my mechanic shop, and drive across states with.
About ten years ago, I was really sick. Vomiting, high fever, etc. I had an incredibly vivid fever dream/hallucination that I was some kind of space explorer. Our travels landed us on a planet that was frozen in the 80s. There were no people or living creatures (that I saw in the dream anyway) but there was a movie theater that looked just like the ones I went to as a kid. It felt so real, I am haunted by it to this day. This music reminds me of that dream, that planet, that movie theater frozen in time.
Came across this while tuning into the CHVRCHES station on Pandora. I'm now a fan, thank you! Love the retro feels similar to the "Drive" (2011) soundtrack
I like to hear Timecop 1983 in my car stereo, a New Fiesta Sedan (Ford), especially when I'm traveling. It's just incredible !! You literally travel !!! Absolutely fantastic!!
Its kind of strange...music like this, real, quality music...is like 1000 times less popular and well known than the "mainstream" stuff that is mostly crap and fake corporate producer made. Its like I live in a parallel universe where good music is not appreciated or listened to as much it should be...
I simply can't decide which version of "Let's Talk" I like more...this one or the one on FM-84's Atlas. They're both so different and SO EFFING GOOD! Definitely the top 2 Synthwave artists.

It's not rare at all
Well said . Time Cop 1983 is a time machine from another dimension.
I do! Everyday more or less, and Im sharing the word to spread it out to the world! 😉💖😅
Amazing that I'm not the only one feeling this way...so soothing to listen to and taking a ride down memory lane, full of great memories of better days ❤
People who enjoy this, are only the one who lived the golden 80's
Well there's a difference between feelings of nostalgia, and wanting to actually go back.
I was there in the 80's and funny enough here I am today
I can honestly say falling asleep to this was surreal.
+angel jimenez lol how did you do it. I'd be tossing and turning all night. Probably get mad and bash the speaker against a wall
+Weiland wear earphones not headphones and just stay in a cool dark room
I agree, gave me some awesomely vivid dreams
Wouldn't you say sleeping is surreal to begin with? You're there but only not?
I am falling in love as well 😎❤️
Really, these are the most beautiful songs we've ever heard. We missed the good times of the 80's
Yes you did! I can confirm...
Not sure if there’s any 80s bands that sounded similar • to this full length
Listening to this while driving at night should feel amazing
I thought the same thing. Or watching a sunset on the beach
Exactly! Hopefully you get to experience it. Feels like your in a movie.
Rawentron i listen to Timecop1983 everytime im travelling, its great for that
I wish I had somewhere far to drive to.
It is! My car all fixed up, sunroof open!
This takes me right back to the 2080s.
Nice!!
Ha!…what’s it like??
We haven't been there yet! Ahh you mean 1980's
😂😂😂
Im trucker and this is usually my night time highway music. Add in some rain and some intrusive thoughts and its a standard affair

@@Dcatts-i2z Agreed. When adulthood kicks in and life becomes enveloped in routines, time seems to pass by all too quickly.

that's about it... thank you, equally.

One of the best 80s style synth album that exists
I Agree
Even after two years, this album is still an absolute gem and I’m so happy to own it on vinyl. It really helps me take my mind off of my depression.
That's so true or it's like some unawaken and not understood emotions become clear
simply the best synthwave act around.
